Ok, i have looked for an answer (not for long mind) and can't find any so i'll ask. I want to capture a op but i need to off-load one. I have a alliance member currently capturing it. What i want to find out is will the op stay if i give it up before the capture attack hits. Thanks in advance

to give up an op you need to go in that op then to economy => management and hit the surrender op button
but you will have to wait 24 hours after you press the button for it to take effect (till your op is gone) so you better give it to someone coz it takes same time and if you change mind you can stop can just attack the guy taking your op or ask him to call back whaterver.. but if you press the button to surrender it then you'll have only 3 hours to change your mind.. after that you can't do anything

about if you press button and then someone sends capture attack.. i don't know never done this before :)

I know how to give it up but i was just wondering if it would affect the capture if i gave it up as the capture is taking longer than 24hrs (Yes it really is lol).

The difference between giving up an outpost and letting someone capture and outpost is huge. John Sheppard2 is correct about how to do it but, if you give up the outpost it resorts back down to the original unoccupied level. All resources, will be lost, buildings gone even soldiers gone. I gave up an outpost but I spent days taking resources out and moved all soldiers and tools out and hit the surrender op button. After 24hrs? it now looks like an small op that was never occupied as you see all over the game. If someone you know is gonna cap your outpost just lower your defence to minimum levels and let him capture attack and wait out the occupation time. But the capturing castle can not be from your own alliance

I had the same concerns-I have a really good 8 wood op with over 300 guards and 1,000 food production-I don't want it to revert back to nothing (which seems to happen after 24 hrs of surrendering it, I was looking for someone to take it a while back when we spotted an 8 food op attached to a lv 70 in ruins, stuffed with castle gardens and festival squares, along with lev 4 bakery lev 3 stables etc, I really wanted it but didn't want the wood op to go to nothing but the next day someone was occupying it already-drat!

If the person is from the same alliance as you-send them to the training alliance while they are capturing the op-and surrender it once they are occupying (or not at all perhaps), you might still have it, but they'll capture it off you and it wont go back to basic ops, someone who knows the mechanics of surrendering ops more than me can give more precise details on timing etc of surrender. Once it is captured-or surrendered, go for the op you want-attach reduce time of occupation bonus to the occupying castellan, and increase travel speed during occupation-if you can. good luck

Lionfire is right-let them capture it don't surrender it or it will be lost-just saw the post - spot on

if you want to give your outpost to another person just put all your soldiers to your main castle then he/she can capture it.

what I want to know is.. we have a member who wants to surrender an op, so that someone in another alliance will not steal it, he doesn't want to give the thief all the stuff he put into it... want it to surrender before he can capture.. I'm guessing we can only surrender and that he doesn't send a capture on it before the 24 hrs is up. But, if he sends the capture... before the 24 hrs is up, will he get the op? as is? with everything in it?

no, the person who will send capture in between the 24 hours surrender time will not get the outpost but if you see that an capture attack is coming to take your outpost after that you press the surrender button then he will get the outpost if he wins.

Yes. You can capture another outpost with the same castellan you surrendered.
