    is it sure that lvl 10 is the maximum level ? (might as well be 8, 12 or 15?)
    also i noticed gems with the same bonus to have different appearence, some have cuts/crackles in them.
    does this influence upgrade chance?

    Nowhere I have seen is a list of the order of ranking for these gems, unlike weapons, armour and artefacts which are Orange - Legendary, Purple - Epic etc. The gems don't have the same colour system so what is it? What is the order colour of the best gems down to the ordinary?

    Boy that was helpful!!! I can see that. What I asked for was what order were the colour of the gems, eg. are red better than yellow or green or whatever?

    So why say they are level 1 - 10? And why when upgrading in the smithy does it say you must have 6 of at least the same or better level surrounding the one to upgrade then?

    Hi Josadech2,

    Gems are not ordered by colour, but by shape.
    The shape (triangle, square, etc.) and the level number (3, 4, etc.) tell you how good they are: level 10 is the strongest, level 1 is the weakest.

    The colour only tells you what type they are. For example, red gems increase fire and red gems with a grey border reduce fire.

    To upgrade a triangular red gem (level 3) to a square red gem (level 4) in the smithy you need to surround it with 6 triangular (or better) gems of any colour.

    I think one needs to have a lvl 10 gem before one can make that screenshot.

    And forging one lvl 10 gem will cost more than 800,000 lvl 3 gems and 83,000,000 rubies and 400,000,000 coins.
    I don't think anyone has that much.

    having collated all the stats on level 4 and level 5 gems, my advice would be to load on lvl 5 gems to all commanders and castellans. then, several years later having done that, forge one lvl 6 gem for every 7 lvl 5 gems you collect.

    then, hand your keys to your grandchildren and exaplin the system and hope they will get to see a lvl 7 gem in their lifetime. LOL
