    Good Work Eric.
You stood like a rock and remained alive in the game.
I would like to ask a question, for how many years you are playing the game on USA1 server?

    I think he was one of the first pioneers of this game... Look at how many colosus he has (;

Yeah, long before the colossus were a thing. And I don't have one of them, because I went on vacation when it came around, so I didn't even get a small statue.

And I have been playing roughly 2 years now I believe.. And yes, one of the only people left on USA1 who was there from essentially the start.

Man when you're looking for answers on the forums in the help section they can take you to some very funny places I'm just starting the game myself and wanted to say that that's a very powerful story of how many different things in life can take place and lead us down some very dark roads, but that through that same road we can travel to a much brighter place that leads us to a better sense of ourselves it's rocky but a worthwhile road to travel. Being a person that often wears his emotions on his sleeve out of habit I find that alot can affect us without or fore knowledge or even want. At the same time it teaches us that we need to be always aware of our sense of others and how they feel so when I found your link in a help thread I wondered if it was going to be a answer to an issue I was looking for and although it was not quite what I was looking for it did help me to realize that this world we live in is a weird and wonderful place and although I myself do not play this game for an escape from reality I do play it for another way to be in my friends life as he plays it and I find myself happy to say that I myself found that special place in this game one would call home filled with people from all walks of life and it really is weird how you mesh together. So I guess what I'm trying to say is that even though I don't know you and would be weird to just say let's be friends for that sake of being strange, I did like what you offered and that you didn't say you wanted responses that it needed to be off your chest like a weight and it's good you did that, and that I understand that kind of pain as I'm sure I'm still struggling to drop off my own personal weight in RL, but that this is definitely something to help with my own understanding of myself as we as people always are changing and so is our understanding of our sense of self so stay strong and although I know not of whom you are or whom you may become I'm rooting for you and that you make the best of what you have and reach for that extra distance and find what makes you happy, as I write this all I'm thinking is how ironic all the soft rock has been while I read and write my own response funny the things we do in our minds and what we think.

Not so sorry for a long post but the time it may take to understand or find the true point to it
take care eric and if you respond I'm definitely willing to listen and to share thoughts whether it be about the game or otherwise I however doubt the latter but I think it would be interesting, and always remember that even though you may be at the bottom then there's only one way to go and that is up so hold your head high and smile like hell because I find that it does help.

Also for the sake of internets memes everywhere, one manly tear of recognition was shed during the reading.

Very inspirational story Eric. This was a really touching story to my heart, and we all agree, it will be a great pain when you leave. This is no joke, but I have actually always looked up to you. Not just because you are amazing in the game, but because of your personallity. Just because it is a game you don't let it mix with your feelings, and I like that. One day, I really hope we actually meet, and I hope all stays well for you. You have truely brightened my heart.

    Thank you,

I'm back in the game, somewhat back here. Found a way that I can both play this and deal with whatever RL issues I have, which is good.

Archers right? You can leave the game for however long you want and know your archers will defend your castles. No one could penetrate that impregnable wall of ranged fury.

Earlier in this thread, i made a post saying that I found it to be sad that you didn't seem to have had a "home" for a long time. I'd like to expand upon that earlier post, and explain in greater detail what I meant by it, using some of my own history to make it more personal ;)
I joined my current alliance more than a year back. I was tiny, had barely played the game for a few weeks, and the alliance itself had less than 10 players. Let's just say that it was rough going. We grew slowly, with barely any ruby players and only one or two lvl60s (was still the top level back then). I don't think I've had all my castles clear of fires since 2012. Over time, we grew, with more high level players, and more glory. With only 25 players or so, we earned the respect of a large family alliance (Magic, now disbanded), through our stubborn resistance in a war. We have now grown to 39 players, and I have a fairly good glory title, given that I don't buy rubies. In fact, if I really wanted to, I could probably join any of the large families, and do well for myself (I haven't made any particular diplomatic enemies). I could put out my fires, build up my OPs and become far more successful than I am now. But the thing is, that if I where separated from my alliance, I would probably stop playing within a few weeks.
I have made many fantastic friends in this alliance. Irreplaceable friends, I would even say. Every time that diplomats or people from other alliances come over, they comment on our community and friendship. We are small; in wars we are always outnumbered at least two to one, but having such good friends around makes it all worth while. I don't mean to sound cheesy, but it is for these friends that I play this game, not for the coins or glory or achievement.
That is why I feel a particular emotional connection to your story. It is, in a way, my worst nightmare; the perfect example of my greatest fear. I'm not a particularly emotional guy, but I'm also fairly sure that being separated from my alliance, my home, my friends, as you have, would be a terror. i truly feel for you (reread the story just now, so it's fresh), and earnestly hope that you will find success in your task.

PS And sorry this post is quite long, you got me rather emotional.

one more thing i am level 35 in indian server and play this game a lot

i also believe the game was good when there was no one powerful alliance
and all alliances were roughly equal
and though uor allliance change but uor friends will never change

    Meh, wasn't official.

I was attempting to put one together and had interest from several key members, but then RL stepped in and I didn't have the time to do it. Maybe sometime in the future.

You are one brave man Eric, I wish you the best of luck in real life and I hope you find a permanent solution to your problems.

It is important to remember that this is just a game and I hope that if/when the time comes that you need to drop the game and focus on helping yourself you will have the strength and be able to conquer your goals.

I thank you for making that post as it has helped me while reading it and has given me a reality check on what is truly important in life. While i have not suffered from the same problems as you, I thank you for giving me the ability to prevent any future problems like yours from affecting me.

God Bless and good luck in life eric, I hope you achieve your goals and turn your life around

    Hey Grace :)

Yeah, I talked with Jim a few weeks ago, haven't talked to him since, but I will drop him a message after I finish posting this. I hope Jason is doing great, and yeah, I wouldn't doubt if he saving that much, haha.

And thank you blabby, I appreciate it. As long as people are taking something positive from my post, I will always be happy that I put it out there. Hope you have a great life to man :)
