COST of FXPs

Has anyone run their calculator over the costs of getting the Fish eXperience Points FXPs ?

It seems as if the lower cost FXPs are better value for money, and take less time to get the same amount.   For example.. Three lots of 15 (=45) take 6 hours and cost about 30k...  much better than one lot of 35, in 8 hours costing 35k.

The same for Gold bought FXPs...  The 170 gold yields the most in the quickest time, for the least cost.

Maybe I should not have mentioned this...!

  • Well it kinda makes sense :) Those players that can actually sit and be active for a longer continuous time not just once a day should have an advantage. At least I would find such logic behind that ;)

    The dollar exp make sense - the game is generally geared to be more profitable if you run lots of short time things rather than 1 long time thing.  Speedy cow vs regular cow production is a good example of this.

    What makes no sense is the gold costs.  The exp per gold for those jumps around all over the place, and there's no overall pattern to it:

    15 min: 480 exp for 15 gold = 32 exp/gold
    1 hour: 1680 exp for 60 gold = 28 exp/gold
    2 hour: 3120 exp for 100 gold = 31.2 exp/gold
    4 hour: 5760 exp for 170 gold = 33.88 exp/gold
    8 hour: 10560 exp for 422 gold = 25.02 exp/gold

    Exp per time does show a consistent, downward trend for increased time, so I don't think there are any problems with that.

    Looks as if the numbers are now a bit more 'linear' after the recent update.
