[Opinion] ring menu

buenos días, me gusta mucho la rueda de elegir los piensos, a mi me resulta mas comoda que la que tenemos en nuestras granjas reales.
good morning, I love the wheel to choose the feed, to my find it me more comfortable than you have in our real farms.

    Hiya everybody. :)

    I very much dislike that "start production" and "skip production for gold" share a position on the ring menu, since there is a high chance that players will get confused, accidentally skip and thus unintentionally spend gold (on the regular servers).

    So far, (mis)clicking the ring menu and trying to start a production on a building already running had no negative effect. With the new positioning I know I'll get into trouble: I often click "start production" by accident either when I want to click the info button or e.g. when trying to check e.g. how much feed I've got left, since using the ring menu requires less clicks than opening farm management and clicking through the tabs there. Please give the "skip for gold" button its own position.

    Edit: Would it be possible to state in the ring menu which level is needed to upgrade a building? For higher levels it's not a big deal since most buildings will be upgraded already, but when starting it would be a big help not having to open the upgrade menu to find out a building cannot be upgraded yet.

    you can find the move and rotate buttons in ring menu cliking on "upgrade"button and it's quite easy to use for me
     but ,for me i,s the button "sow last seed" that is in a unconfortable position !! I often click it instead of seed that I want

    YES me too - its not  a good place to put the skip with the start - very poor choice and really hope GGS does NOT integrate that in the future - its already wayy too easy to skip for gold now let alone it sharing a start button....NOOO!!!  :)

    @NoddyShepherd (DE1)  the move button is on the ring over on the left side now

    I just noticed this too.  On the ring menu for stables and orchards, we don't get the display of how much feed or fertilizer we've got except when the building is ready to be harvested/restarted.  I sure hope you're not thinking of leaving that information off the ring menu, as it's the easiest, most direct way to keep track of your farm's resources.

    I agree!  I like the layout on the ring menu better than the ones on the live farm.

    Having the feed/sow button at the bottom of the menu always took you so far away from the field/stable you were harvesting.  Then, when getting to the next field/stable you're re-starting so often activates the dialog box for a field/stable in between - and you can't click on the field you actually want to re-start!  And often enough, I then accidentally harvest a building I'm trying to save for later, as for a mission or a co-op project.

    Having the feed/sew button higher on the ring menu will make things a lot smoother, I'm sure.  (Won't really know until I've got enough fields on the test farm to really test that out.)

    Ho appena notato anche questo. Nel menu ring per stalle e frutteti, non otteniamo la visualizzazione di quanto mangime o fertilizzante abbiamo, tranne quando l'edificio è pronto per essere raccolto / riavviato. Spero proprio che non stai pensando di lasciare che le informazioni fuori dal menu anello, in quanto è il modo più diretto più semplice per tenere traccia delle risorse della vostra azienda. ( traduzione in italiano)

  • Yeah, I agree with buddy, it's the fastest way to see how much food you have for a certain kind of stable.
  • The problem is that the feed button is now in the same position as the speedup button, so once the stable has been started it gets replaced by the speedup.

    I agree that it is very useful to be able to see how much feed you have by looking at the ring menu, instead of trolling through the farm mangement, I hope they find a way to still be able to show it.

    In the "live" game, you can highlight a cow, or pig, or chicken, while it is working and see how much feed you have.  You cannot do this on the test server.  I really do not like this.

    Yes,, I hope this is reimplemented. Good to see that speedy feed is now in a separate place form standard feed though.

    Yes the future new ring menu seems much more practical that the current one

    I also like to be able to see how much feed we have just by clicking on the building while busy, it works as a shortcut, faster than farm management

    Its good to see that all the premium, super and seaweed feeds are visible in one click. Earlier it was tiring to look for premium feed, which was placed last. But being able to view all feeds when building is operational, would be desirable. 
    I like to view "the move, rotate and demolish" button in the first click. Didn't like the modify option.

  • I am very pleased at the way the bar feed seed and so is now. You see immediately what is wrong and you are less likely to sow is unfortunate that if you eg apples turn you not see how much fertilizer you or lofts how much feed. you only realize when you have harvested and on again.

  • I just want to comment on the ring menu now is by far better than the exist ring menu on the active farm as the active farm ring menu is a drop down menu if you have 3 different feeds and you try to go to the third one sometime you will miss it accidentally to the first one
    But on the test farm they all individually sitting on the ring so beautiful easy to choose Thank for good thinking

    I for one like the new ringmenu .... but:

    - When clicking on a working stable/field/orchard in my life farm, I can see how many feed/sorts of humus/dung I still have
    - When clicking on a working stable/field/orchard in the tester farm, the ringmenu only shows the "upgrade" and "speed up" buttons. The other buttons are only shown in the ringmenu when the stable/field/orchard is empty/ready to plant/feed

    I really miss seeing how much feed, humus and dung I still have .... tiny bit annoying to have to go to the Farm Management menu each time I want to know these numbers.

    Couldn't find this elsewhere in the forum, so thought I should mention it...

    EDIT: only just now discovered that somebody in the German thread wrote about the same .... So we do have allies supporting us on this one LOL

  • I too agree with @Jiesta (NL1). For me, it's very embarrassing to go to the farm management.
  • I do feel the same, needing to go to the farm management and try to find in the multiple pages of stock what you're looking for is a time loss, a pain and too much clicks.

    I also agree with Jiesta. The new ring is super to start a production but after, when busy, it's impossible to get information about stock. I think this functionality is very used by players and aslo very usefull.

    I absolutely love the new ring layout!!! but do agree it would be nice the see the feeds grayed out with amounts as on the old ring.
