New forced placement system in dream world

I'm having accessibility issues with the new forced placement system of items in Dream world. Since I'm visually impaired I use a zoom in tool to view part of the screen. When I went to place an item it was not available at the portion of the screen where I was attempting to place it. I zoomed back out to see what the problem was and there were 3 tiny icons on the item I was trying to place that I could not see and no matter what I tried I was unable to move the item to where I wanted it.

I zoomed in on the location where the item was locked and could finally see that I had only 3 choices, rotate, green check to place, and cancel. When I rotated it, it turned red and could not be placed even though there was space available on the farm to place the item just not where the game wanted to force me to place it.

Once I figured out the system it was VERY annoying to keep switching my visual accessibility tools on and off to get the items where I wanted them on my farm so that I can consistently access them while playing. (I group things logically for me so that I can find them easily while playing with my accessibility tools turned on.)

To add insult to injury I kept getting item placement errors (that nasty orange error window that pops up) which locked up the placement screen so that I had to reload browser window to regain control.

Can we get the devs to rethink this forced item placement decision and revert this change to assist those of us who are visually impaired?

    you can turn off this function. go to settings and uncheck the "new building system" option

    Thanks! That was too tiny for me to see too but I was able to finally find it and turn it off. I appreciate the help.

    Hello Grandpa Squeak,

    I'm glad you were able to find it. At the same time, I'm sorry that the button was too hard to find.
    However, we appreciate your feedback and I'll take this into account. It's nice to have new features because others enjoy it, but not everybody can and/or will.

    this new feature is so annoying we know where we want to place things so why change it? someone has also mentioned that you have to turn it off each time you enter. if we have to have it at least make it so we can permanently switch it off.

    This is not true. You only have to set it once and then it is permanent


    We have more reports of this now and has been forwarded as a Bug

    It is not intentional that you have to reset

    What a load of rubbish.  Stop changing things that aren't broken.  Some new events would be nice and a better use of time and energy.

    One good thing is that we can turn it off. So those that like it can use it, and those that don't, will not have to.
