I'm too busy so had to stop playing for quite a while(about half year)
I don't really remember when I last played the game today it's says "the name you have enter is not valid"

there was no warning that his farm was going to be deleted at all...
if there was an email, i would have responded that he still WANTS his farm but is in hospital....and will be continuing to play. we got an email after farm was deleted.....NO WARNING AT ALL

But consider this: a lot of people start playing and only play for a short while, never to be seen again. I think it's good that GGS does a "clean-up" from time to time. It's is hard for those that do want to come back after a long break (I think you have to be inactive for at least 6 months before your farm can be removed). However, there's no way for GGS to know.
I guess they could somewhat limit the potential damage by sending out an e-mail some time before deleting the farms. At least that way they would cover their backs..
Inactive accounts should be deleted...6 months is generous for free players and a one-time e-mail notice would be considerate; it is a waste of resources for GGS to maintain inactive accounts.
Customers as defined pay for goods or services and are entitled to what they pay for. Free players become customers when they want to upgrade their game for the premium play, however if free players are treated poorly, why would they ever want to become a customer?
Upsetting to the player who discovers their account deleted without notice.
