Assuming "suggestions" really is something GG wants to see, and I would hope so. I think they can get a lot more information from their own forums than with their silly surveys. So... The island farm (airport) event will not "harm" anything by itself. It is simply a new type of repeating event. It is, however, very different from the events that you might be used to (Not of this World, Mysterious Asia, etc.).
