I have a question about what happens to a farm of a deceased member. Do the next of kin contact GGS so that they can dissolve that farm? Are the heirs allowed to take over the farm since they have access to the member's computer, passwords, emails etc? How are situations like that handled?
GGS could officially transfer the account to someone else in the event of death if that someone contacts them from the registered mail address. So the next of kin could contact the email provider and try to get that switched over to them but that can only be done using the registered mail address.
In the same vein, a farm cannot be deleted unless requested by the owner of the registered e-mail address - the rules are quite strict due to the new GDPR regulations that came into effect in the European Union last year.
Hope this answers your question.
Just curious, but why are there not farm boosters for the Festive Farm? Better yet, why can't the boosters from the Viking farm work for the Festive Farm? I think (if I am not mistaken) that the boosters work for the "Northern Lights" farm. All of these are just variations of the Viking Farm.
Thank you for checking into this.
The handbooks for Viking and Northern Lights farms DO work on the Festive Farm, except for the items that are made in the Workshop. Those do indeed not have handbooks at this time. I can imagine it has something to do with the fact that the items for the festive farm (that are manufactured in the workshop) are different to the workshop ones from the other 2 farms.
However, I take your point and will pass along the idea that the Festive Farm workshop might also have handbooks for its items.
Who knows, maybe they would agree to change it for the Festive Farm next year.
RowdyRacOh, and apparently the flax handbook does not work on the red flax, also because it is different in name.
I really don't know if they will change the code on those items but it can't hurt to ask :)
