It would be nice addition to the game if it would actually work for me. You need a lot of money in the game. I wonder how many has a viking farm, which is a real money hole.
If the game is so buggy and they don't fix it, and the long server downtimes and annoying game save rollbacks happen too often, I consider leaving the game for good. This isn't fun anymore. It is unfair disadvantage that there is a way to earn money by some game mechanics that are not the same for everyone. Game is unstable and the updates won't work..:/
YES!! All that you just said---they are TOO close to everything! And the truck is parked RIGHT on my fence--not next to it, but ON it. I would LOVE to have the option to be able to disable it as well. I have already accidentally clicked on the stupid little grifters 3 times. Fortunately, as I haven't done anything with them for the past day, they have stopped showing up. I hope they stop completely, as I have no intention of interacting with them again---accidentally or otherwise. But they DEFINITELY need to move them from the area they are now occupying. I hate where the garage is now located.
Same here. I have had numerous occasions where I have had most of my cherries and other expensive stuff accidentally and unintentionally sold because they're so close to my fence. I too would LOVE the option to not ever have to see ANY of them again. Only good thing is that they've stopped showing up on my farm as of today--probably because I have been doing my best to ignore them completely.
Making big money selling stuff is fine. However, the neighbours are asking for almost my entire barn full of supplies I need to make fruitcakes, soap, and honey cream. So it is not feasible to sell these. If they only asked for a few hundred I wouldn't be that upset if I accidentally clicked on it.
I agree Remove the Market Completely.
agreed!!!!! the whole thing is a silly/pointless addition!
It is not about pleasing everyone. It is about making the game usable for all. If people don't want to see this organic market then give us the option to disable it, this satisfies everyone. At minimum, give an option to the users. After all, most of us pay for play so we should all be given equal consideration.
Actually i like it too, i have also earned dollars a lot faster than normally.
If i don't like the offer, it goes into trash... So i can choose, new one comes soon. And those "bubbleheads", i like even them
I do believe I will be found a lot more on the market after tomorrow's update!
Like Dara I never accidentally clicked a neighbour yet, not even when there were 3 of them standing right behind my fence.... I guess I am just prudent in clicking.
Well, just don't click them if you don't want to sell it. Simple.
well there's a few other down points still regarding the market too, but nothing super big imo to make the market "useless" though. so generally aside from what i mentioned first in this post, i think this market is a great new feature to the game, it may take a while to get used to it, a bit more than how we got used to ship for example, but it too great feature to totally disable or miss imo.
in the past few days (even without the changes that will come tomorrow and will make market even better) not only I have made tons of dollars off the market but also I have gotten 31 karma points and probably more horseshoes than i daily get from ship even. so be a bit more optimistic guys and test it first before totally deciding on opposing it.
that's just my opinion though, still everyone have different opinions always, so no judging and no offense meant either.
You took the words right out of my mouth, Griffith. I too have made 31 karma points from the market and it is beginning to be better for horseshoes than the ship (at least for me). I just sent off 2 orders that gave me over 900 horseshoes as a bonus in addition to all that extra cash.
I hope everyone will get past all the bugs with the new update. Try it again when the fixes are in -- you might like it!
Apparently, you didn't get my point.
When was this poll held?.... Cos I love the market & I do not want a 4th farm!
Market is great, no competition with others, make what you want too, when you want too and another way to get rewards like horseshoes for those of us that don't like the temporary farms to get seeds for the ship.
I generally like the market as such, just not persuaded about it's profitability yet after making some observations myself. Good math would help here if you've done some.
If you are looking only for profitability, then all non-extra-bonus (without horseshoe, karma, etc) regardless of their value (% bonus) generally will give more dollars than regular price selling. but that alone not necessarily will be profit yep, selling raw materials that one needs for their own farm can be actually a loss for example, or selling low useless flower recipes can also be a loss even with bonus (since they will take some of flower shop time in which we could make more profitable items instead).
but aside from those, yep it seems like pretty much any contract that has extra-bonus (horseshoe, karma, etc) will generally give less initial dollar than regular prices selling. but depending on the value of contract (% bonus) the sum of initial + bonus dollar, in some cases "may" make the contract dollar-wise good too, and in some other cases "may" make the contract a bit of dollar-loss as a sacrifice for those extra prizes instead.
ofc there is a formula for it i'm sure too, but since there's like 4 kind of rewards found already, and each of those rewards have a variable range(from 0 to 10 karma for example) then it's too much a pain to calculate it honestly. so just do it like this, for the contracts that has extra bonuses just see if you "really" want the prize or not, and regardless of bit dollar loss or bit dollar profit, just decide to do it or not imo, normally the contracts of blue'ish color or higher since have 20% dollar bonus or more will usually make up for the initial loss in most cases so they are safe dollar-wise too. but lower ones (0-39 contract value for example) may cause a little dollar-loss for the extra prize instead, but that usually isn't really high either so it's not super important imo.
losing 20k dollars for 5 karma points is something totally ignore-able for example imo. but losing 50k dollar for 2 exp points may not be much great(but this's also just my own preference, some may prefer exp to karma points actually).
so see for yourself if you like the extra prize of contract itself or not first, and then can easily decide without calculations even whether you want to do the contract or not. cause doing calculations for all of them is too much a pain imo and since the little dollar loss is recovered by the extra prize instead it is not a big deal really imo.
So, even if you're not a huge fan today, give us (and yourself) a bit of time to get used to the organic market, and to figure out all the quirks. If you still don't like it after some time, this is a whole other discussion
I don't like it I prefer if its not displayed.
Like you get an 'offer' for 300k dollars an don't know what you gonna get, and then I get10 chicken food...
Just out of curiosity, Latten, how much time do you think you will need to evaluate/develop Organic market while running it on live servers?
Me too............
And the display of bonus percentage before I sell on top of that.
C'mon brother... I know that you did in fact modify the market's demand but on the other hand, some demands are totally off the wall and go against completing tasks (sell X number of Y). The demands are INSANE. I've seen stuff as crazy as 16k apples + , Honey in large quantities, etc...
While you are at it, why not demand 300K apples and make it a LIMITED contract with a 60min timer. Gawd... Your dev team are so off the mark, it's not even funny. Do they even play the game... I mean, for REAL? Also, the profits are REALLY marginal at best, even at 20, 25, 30 + % bonus.
