Criticism: how many Events can GGS fit in

bikeboy (GB1)bikeboy (GB1) Posts: 486
;)Geez how much more can GGS fit into big farm, we have our farms, the horses, the island, the wheel of fortune, the hard worker event, the Main event, the neighbours ripping us off, the ship, co-op challenge every 2 week, anybody would think GGS were doing as much money grabbing as they can before pulling the plug.

We have temp farm, new camping event, horses, organic market and now HW has turned up again . To do well now on this game it seems you have to give all your spare time and money. Seem to farm for GGS not myself. For me this is not what a game is about .X(X(X(

It's all about choices. :) Some players still struggle with abundance in the game. Like going to supermarket and feeling overwhelmed and forced to buy all that good stuff to do well in shopping. :):)

I don't do them all the game gives us a few different things to do, I don't do much with horses and I def don't do the island farms anymore all I do is open the island farms to get the xp then that's it really, I don't do the hard worker event cos its not my thing I don't tie myself to my pc on this game, I just play it and have fun and moan a lot when they move my garage, but I see the organic market gets better to look at once its used, I love the co-op challenge its a great team event ( ps which I would love another kind of co-op team event if developers can come up with one) I also enjoy the co-op projects, and would LOVE another permanent farm, and more tractors to upgrade, and a bit more land for main farm ( there's a strip across the bottom between gate and greenhouse empty ) hint to developers ;) but I like the choice gives everyone something to do, don't play everything that's my tip of the day :)

Yes it does have the appearance of desperation to make the books look pretty, perhaps before some change to a public company! The end is nigh. I am considering a rest from my farm after this island finishes, the pressure of so many concurrent events is not enjoyable.

I think there is an old saying that goes something like 'over-egging the cake' - apologies if I have got this wrong. Anyway, the current excess of events/new additions etc seems like GGS ARE over-egging the cake. Too much happening at the same time is not nice GGS X(

normally today I would buy some gold I have upgrades to do, I have already had 2 100% extra gold bonus offers on my screen and refused to do both, I support GGS with my personal money buying gold as they need these sales to develop the game but sometimes I think is it really worth it when they don't listen a game is only good as long as players play it, there are some HUGE gold buyers in this game one day they will upset them and poof the game is gone,

Well GGS you are trying to make money but what you are doing is successfully ruining the game for many people. We have had a couple people leave our co op because they are leaving the game, in the last week and more are talking about following including myself. BTW one of them was a BIG gold buyer too! I understand this game has to make money but exactly how much do you want to make. I am quite sure you would take all the money each person who plays has if they would spend it. Shame on you GGS. This game used to be fun. It has ceased to be fun. It is beginning to be more like work. People play it to relax. Nothing relaxing about so many things going on at once. Make it a fun relaxing game again or you WILL lose A LOT more players is my prediction for you. Slow down before you totally run the "game" in the ground!

Definitely not a game for you if you don't like multitasking...thing is and has been mentioned many many times before is that no one makes anyone play everything, its totally your choice...i personally like all the things going on as long as they are working properly...i've been somewhat lucky with not having many major issues to discourage me...when the Market first came online and it was hiccuping n burping n carrying on like it was I wasn't a very happy camper...now that they've worked most of the bugs outta it its a good addition to the game...and they can still keep my no neighbors visiting me broken indefinitely as far as i'm concerned....some players can handle the "pressure" "stress" completely differently when trying to manage everything that's going on....if i get to the point where i just need a break i very simply click the X in the top right corner and off i go....weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I have to agree, I enjoy multi-tasking but this is ridiculous. I had a member in my cooperative who was a big gold-buyer leave the game a week ago, and a couple who have been playing a lot less. I get it that a lot of players want the variety. I personally don't. Game used to be about advancing by having the best farm. Now it's about who can spend the most gold. They make EVERYTHING winnable with gold. Sorry GreedyGuyStudios, not for me. I will continue to play as I always have and not worry about advancing, since you have made it impossible for me to win anything without spending a lot of money.

Put yourself in GGS' shoes...you'd want to make enough money to pay the employees and pay the bills to keep this roller coaster going for as long as you could...they are simply doing just that....

I don't have an issue with GGS wanting to earn money to develop the game, but there are ways to do that other than smothering us with gold generating ideas, I buy gold all I want is a game that's great to play and on the whole it is a great game, but I also want them to listen to concerns we might have as players, strategy wise the garage should have been left where it was it was perfectly placed where it was and as for the farm management tabs it should be at the end so those that don't want to use the organic market wouldn't be affected, these are in the grand scheme of things 2 small requests that shouldn't cause GGS too much work, and would make a lot of players very happy

Like they did ruin the game of (GGS Farmer ). The one I like years ago in 2012. They might ruin this game of ( Big Farm ). Because I really miss my game of ( GOODGAMESTUDIOS FARMER ). They ruined my LIFE. Let them go to HELL what they done to those WONDERFUL games that they took off. SHAME, SHAME ON YOU GGS. I think they need to put those games back on data as quick as possible. They might loose everyone that plays on here. :(

Well I have no plans leaving this game anytime soon, I buy gold and I spend gold. Are there lots of things to do and lots of events? Yes, however you are not obligated to do them, they are optional. Once I stopped worrying about completing everything all at once the game got a lot more enjoyable. I pick and choose what I want to do and I don't spend too much time worrying about the events I can't complete.

I get easily bored so it suits me to have lots of things to choose from. I really liked the 1st couple of coop challenges, but was glad to see George`s silo event come along, because the CC did not interest me anymore. I thought George`s one was fun, but haven`t even started it this time, because I am having more fun with the new market. I usually love seeing how fast I can complete the weekly challenge too, but thats taken a backseat because I don`t want to donate my stuff that I need for the market & for the 1st time ever I didn`t bother to collect the bees.
I`m not keen on the events that last for weeks (again with the boredom threshold) so I rarely do the temp farms, unless its a new one & I am losing interest in the horse seasons too now, as that gets a bit repetitive. So keep adding the new stuff GGS & I`ll be happy! ^^

I have not been doing then events because my farm is at a lower level. Do we ever get a break for these events? because I am working my farm very hard.

I love the variety. I don't like everything but I don't have to play stuff I don't care for either.

Only real complaint I have is with SO MUCH going on at the same time, the game can lag something fierce. Making it hard to do just about anything. For that one reason they need to spread out events more.

But.... alas, they don't care what I think. So on days when everything is running, except my ability to play anything, I just don't. Turn this off and go do something else.
    Easy Peasy

Hijacking a bit, but ......... specifically with this one I'm getting a bit bored too. One of the main reasons being that every race needs 4 clicks on 4 screens if I counted it right .... So you go for 10 races it's over 40 clicks to get it done on different screens and at least half of them is completely unnecessary imo. Some streamlining might help a bit. What do you think?

And now that the No Pain/No Gain event ended a few hours ago and the Camping Event just ended, I thought I would try to catch up on my regular farming. But of course now you just started the Fairy Tale Event....

It's been repeated many times, but you can catch up with your regular farming anytime you decide to do so. :)

PS: Don't try as trying is worthless in this context. Just do it. :)

And it has been also repeated by many of us that a break now and then would be nice.
I know I don't have to do all the events, but I am compulsively task-oriented, and feel the need to do everything. 8|
I am bored with the weekly events too, but want the XP
But seriously, not even 2 hours between events is harsh, especially with the market just starting.

I don't think anybody can rightfully expect GGS to make provision for every compulsive disorder or lack of self-control in a general public game like Big Farm. It would be like for example sb asking for all the traffic in the neighbourhood to be stopped when they want to go for a walk as they are scared of cars. I can emphatise with your struggle but the solution for that can't be demanded from GGS. The remedy must come from different source.

As a side note to your "seriously", did you really just finish previous 7 day event minutes before it ended? :)

Jokes aside though, we want players to have lots of variety and excitement, so of course we won't always put as few events as possible on the farm. Generally, and this is one of the great things about Big Farm, if you don't want to play an event, you absolutely can just leave it alone! It'll come back eventually, and you will have more time to play one of the others that are currently running. That's absolutely intentional and there's no reason to participate in everything at once :)

to be honest when first GGS started to put more events at the same time, I was bit annoyed too, but after a while i got kinda used to it and nowadays i think it is actually better that events come faster honestly, if i'm busy i just ignore them and if not i do all of them at same time even.

but there's still one thing i want to ask ggs and that is, please never run temporary farm events together with coop championship (or just don't bring coop championship event too fast or too often, since that event is kinda mandatory for everyone as coops always ask members for being active in it), so generally those two events (temporary farm event + coop championship) together are a serious headache honestly and neither of them are easy to ignore specially coop championship is almost not ignore-able at all since it's about teamwork and not an individual choice.

Right now there is a total of 8 slots that can be used for events, do not be surprised if GGS runs in the future 8 events at 1 time, temporary farms included. As I have said before, do not wish for things that you will later regret. It would not surprise me if GGS does run 2 temporary farms at 1 time. If that happens people will complain about it but it will not do any good. It will amount to them making more money than ever. I really do wish there was a time machine to put the farm back to the way it was when i first started about 2 years ago
