Suggestion: "Ask Me If I REALLY Want To Upgrade!"
u are making it easy to walk away.....i don't know how many times we have asked for a simple safe guard to be put in place......not everyone plays on large screens...i play on a laptop.....
im on level 82 and have been playing for about 14 months...this game used to be enjoyable...now i will walk away ....we have asked and begged for a simple safeguard but for some reason ggs said no...so im saying no to u....
Comments
because they wont give me the OPTION of having a safe guard in place i will no longer be buying gold for my farm or my children s farms.....they still want to play occasionally...but sadly for me the co op will have to go as i wont be playing much now....THANK YOU GGS... YOU ARE SAVING ME MONEY.....
Oh thank you, I didn't see that...
That put an end to my accidental spending. Now if they really do put in some kind of gold lock I may try a few things. Or not. The endless blasting of gold only stuff in my face is really getting so annoying I just want to do exactly what I do with the TV. Change the channel or just turn it off.
Seriously. Been asked for 50,001 times. Not holding my breath.
In 2014 there were hints of a feature being designed to prevent people from accidental gold spending.
Some of the board managers even spoke of it, saying it was in the works, but to be patient and wait. It was on its way.
Unfortunately I was rearranging my gourmet farm tonight and tried to move my water tower to a new spot on the farm. And guess what happened? The tower began to upgrade to level 3 and 13000 in gold was gone, in a fraction of a millisecond
I sent a ticket to GGS but I think I already know the answer. But I really hope that someone can help with this, and credit the gold back.
If we can win prizes as gold and progress be reversed on the island farm, I truly believe that there can be a way to reverse my water tower upgrade and put the 13000 gold back into my account.
Fingers crossed.
It can not be that hard, there already is a question "Do you really want to demolish...", with those bushes, when you buy land.
Every few months, I have a brain fart and accidentally click the "upgrade" button instead of the "feed" button. This last time, it cost me around 30,000 gold, which I had, but could not afford to spend. It doesn't ask for verification, it just starts the upgrade, and there is no way to cancel the operation.
It asks you if you really want to demolish something. Why not ask if you really want to upgrade something, as well? Especially if the upgrade will cost gold?
Ok, so I spent a lot of money that I could have used somewhere else.. But the biggest problem was that I didn't have enough free workers and didn't want to build more houses. BUT there is no way back AT ALL, not even a chance to demolish the buliding without workers which I find extremely stupid so.. I had to build one more house and wasn't really happy bout it but these things just happen. It's just a game
Why am I telling you all this? I don't know really but what I do know is that GGS will never agree with any kind of warning or anything that would prevent you from spending gold because of the cycle "accidentally spending gold - buying new gold - hooray, income for GGS". But I've been wondering if GGS has ever thought about a somewhat different cycle "accidentally spending gold - hating this game - leaving this game - no money for GGS". Just a thought...
totally agree! Why???
I got a very fast response from GGS. It's not encouraging

Like I said, I can win gold and get credited for that, GGS can reverse progress on farms, but it can't refund gold in the form of a credit and reverse the upgrade to the time just prior to it being done so?
Being a business, there should be a way for the customer to have a satisfying interaction with a company. In most cases, you can return a purchase for a refund or get credit for a future purchase with that company, if done in a timely matter.
GGS is a business, I appreciate that. But what I don't appreciate is the statement they are saying, that you can purchase gold, and use it to make "GOLD PURCHASES" in the game, but not get a refund or credit to future purchases with GGS.
At least that is the sentiment I am seeing from the response I got. So in this case, as a customer, I'm not satisfied with the product. But unfortunately, GGS does not realize the importance of having a system in place to meet their customers' needs if they are unsatisfied. And the even more frustrating part is that there IS that safe-check in place for demolishing things on the farm. If it's been coded in already, why hasn't it been done for gold-purchased upgrades to buildlings? JUST BUILDINGS I AM SAYING!
I absolutely understand that refunding every accident similar to speeding up time to harvest, would be extremely time consuming and a wasteful process for GGS to do. Paying their employees to do all that work would probably cost them more in overtime.
BUT...
These UPGRADES. Not so. THEY COST A LOT and can empty out a frugal-minded player's gold account very quickly.
How does that make other customers feel? I'd like to hear your feedback.
I suggest an "are you sure" button for any upgrade that requires gold, as this costs real money for a lot of ppl, and yes maybe its a mistake of a button press or something like that, but still, what a waste of gold..........;(
then...
there should be a confirm screen for upgrading a building too.
(( I just made big brain-fart, clicked too fast, and upgraded a building that wasnt suppose to be upgraded yet... dont have enough workers... so now I'll need to build a temp worker house... then demolish the error upgrade... then demolish the temp house. and rebuild that building to its proper level again. :S ))
Maybe a down-grade option would be nice too.
It has happened to me too, I blamed no one but myself and I took care to not make the same mistake again!
I would really have loved an 'are you sure you want to use gold?' button.... But it was my own fault.
I do agree with FarmerJohn! I once accidentally spent gold (1600!!) - banged my head against the wall (because I was the only one to blame), laughed about it later (because I was the stupid one to do it) and promised myself to be more prudent in the future. Well, it never ever happened to me again (just because of paying more attention and being more prudent - so lesson learned)!
or by mistake i clicks upgrade icon... waste of time n dollor...
we have option to advance the upgrade with gold bt
it will be good if we have option to cancel the upgrade in process...n refund of cost not 100% but after charging...
IT WILL BE GREAT HELP...:):)
@CM Latten Any news on this?
A roach on the wall at the last dev meeting heard: "As long as those dummies keep mi$$$clickin', we gonna leave it just the way it is..."
I have been looking to see if anyone have had this problem.
This week overnight I upgraded a field to level 5. In the morning I clicked to send 2 workers to the field which they did, then I realised the field remained at level 4 so where are the workers? I now do not want to upgrade anything as I may lose more workers. Has anyone had this problem recently?
I have sent a help request to customer support.
I'm always a happy farmer let's keep it that way.
