I'm just have a look at your farm emilylennox.
hmmm...
I can see you have opened the Island... and your farm is much to little to handle that job.
- A mistake many low level players have done.
I'll suggest you don't put more money in the Island.
Then...
When you have earned up money for that, build up your main farm with animals enough to supplied more apple orchards. (Apples gives the best income on the main farm), later you also may have a cherry orchard.
Your gourmet farm: When you have money for it: upgrade your bakery, that will decrease the amount of ingrediens to the cakes you make in the bakery.
A donkey stable would be a good idea for you to have, because it can make lots of dung to your fertilizer production. (dung from both main farm and gourmet farm goes into the same storage, and there's no limit how much dung you can have.)
Duck are also very good to have on the gourmet farm, both for the eggs and for the dung.
Your flower farm: I know it will take very long time for you to earn up money for these things, but as fast as possible build up your flower farm, the flower is where you can earn most of your money that day your shop can produce soap boxes and honey cream.
Decorations: Don't buy more deco's from Benny's truck.. ok, the temp farm deco's looking nice, but they gives to low happiness compared with their dimensions.
- Eg. the big ornamental tree gives a little bit more happines per pixel than the big palm tree, and the big ornamental tree only takes up 4x4 room, where the big palm tree takes 7x7 room.
Here is the formula to calculate how good a deco is:
The deco happiness divided with the deco's size = deco value
happiness / size(x*y) = how good the deco is.
The higher deco value, the better are the deco.
Here is an old(*) overwiev over deco's value, the best deco you'll find in the bottom at that site.
(*) the site is in the danish language, but there's small pictures of the deco's, and numbers are as far I know internatioal.
- Furthermore the list is old, it's could need an update because the have comes many new deco's since I make that list.

Imagine if starting a chicken coop would cost 100 dollars. If your happiness is -10% it costs 90 dollars. But if your happiness is -80% it only costs you 20.
On your foodfarm and flowerfarm I doubt if the happiness bar is even in the green.
What's also important is to puzzle your farm as tight as possible, to fit in as much decorations and production buildings as you can. I see a lot of empty spaces on your farms.
If you focus on your main farm mostly now, the week long events will be easier for you and you can win very good decorations from those.
I agree with Brian as well that your farm is too small still to be able to do the islands well. You need to pump a LOT of money in those to be able to really profit from them.
And yes, to us, your farm is small. That is not an insult, just a statement of fact.
Yes, I agree its best "Not" To open the Island farm until a highter level. People said like level 80 + :P
She has got 4 feilds, Good:) I would probably sugest getting another cow shed if you can keep up with it.
Also, Probably need to re-decorate it, Things are scattered about a bit.
You have got some nice high decs.
On your gourment farm, You do need more decs, and I would sugest getting another feild.
Its good that you are in a nice high coop:)
Cookiie4me: And yes, to us, your farm is small. That is not an insult, just a statement of fact.
I would not say it is small. For her level its great:) Think about it.
I'm level 83, no-gold buyer. Still got 2 more expandions to get on my Main farm.
MONEY:
Yep, I would say plant wildflowers, for you, its the best way:)
After got the gourmet farm and build the bakery, i didnt sell my apple, egg, milk, or whatever is needed for the production on my bakery.
If you had known how many visitors you would be getting, you could have sold tickets for some extra cash hehe
If you have any "premium" feed or fertilizer, now would be a good time to use them, because they don`t have any production costs (plus you get XP). The same is true for the "super" ones, but they also increase yield, so you may be saving them to use for something else.
I have allowed me to edit your text (with red) to for it to be correct, I hope it is ok.
And yes, We will not insult you emilylennox when we say your farm not is strong enough to run tempoary farm, we are trying to help you with some good sugestions to how you can build your farm up to being stronger so you some day out in the future have a farm that are strong enough to run the tempoary farms.
- remember: we all have started from the beginning, and over long time have build up our farms to be big and strong enough to run these tempoary farms. (In fact, when I started playing bigfarm, the was no tempoary farms)
emilylennox, even I say your farm is to little to run temp. farms, I'm sure your farm is doing a nice job when your coop running coops projects.
Keep on the good work and have some patience... and your farm will grow up and being stronger and stronger, and some day you have a big strong farm which is strong enough to run the temp. farms.
I'm agree
About when players should begin to play the tempory farms, there is several meanings, somebody say around level 80 other say around level 100, maybe other will sy other levels?
I'll say that becomes to the players playing style (how many dollars they can earn per day, and how high they hope to go in the temp farms)
If a player want to complete the islands (tropical and vikings) without using gold, it's necesarry to have time to play in several hours every day in the 30 days the event runs, and have a farm big and strong enough to transfer around 6 million dollars every day (when they have upgraded the bank to level 7)
Meh..sorry lol said on wrong account. I do get confused somtimes! Thats life!
Yes Brian -- THANK YOU -- that is exactly what I meant to say. I should never post that late in the day!
I too have been playing for over a year and the 1st temp farm appeared when I was around level 60. I didn't do well on that one, so I waited until I was over level 80 before I went to another one. To do well at a lower level I think would almost certainly require gold.
You've gotten lots of great tips Emily -- we all hope we helped.
My farm is big and my best farm friends helped me get it to what it is. so please stop saying it is bad because it is not.
You may close this thread because it is just hurting my farm.
Edit by PINJO: merged posts, please use edit button
I think you may have misunderstood what people were saying Emily...No one was insulting your farm, in fact they agreed that compared to other farms on the same level, yours is a good farm  When it was described as being small, that is to say it is not yet a completed set of 3 farms with 25 plots each, its not a bad thing.
If you are having cashflow problems, it sounds like you just need to get your happiness higher, so that your costs are lower & you make more profit. Try to get your happiness meter as far as possible into the green section, -80% costs or more if you can & that will make a huge difference to you. If you need more space to add more decorations, try moving things around so that join up any spare grid squares into spaces that are big enough to add another decoration.
Thats all they were saying, don`t be upset, everyone was really trying to help you, with good advice. ^^
Silly! I'm not saying it's bad, I don't see anything where I said that! You asked for tips, and you're getting them
If Briannospam or Scissors would look at my main farm now, they'd probably tell me to stop being so incredibly lazy and put those decorations back out! And if they had looked at my Viking farm yesterday, they could've told me that it réally is helpfull to build a silo before a tree grove
thanks so much for helping me. i wont be able to work on it much because i have pulled something in my leg so computer does not rest well on it.
