    Hey everyone,

I would like to thank you for keeping your feedback so constructive and focused on your main concerns on the candy farm.

We have - again - forwarded this feedback and can already tell you that we will keep a closer eye on the main topics discussed for our ongoing analysis of the event.

    Hey Lexiatel,

the farm is indeed designed to be easier for lower level players and we still feel that it works as intended.

However, we would like to remind everyone that only the first steps up until stage 5 of the candy palace are supposed to be easier to achieve, so that lower level players can already learn their ropes with this farm.

Tasks do a lot to support these players along their way and they have around 30 days time to finish these steps.
Furthermore, we don't expect these players to fully upgrade all their farm buildings to optimize production processes.
Most high level players started with upgrades early, to do their best to improve these processes - of course this is an up front investment lower level players don't necessarily need to make, so they can save some dollars and time by just focusing on their productions instead.

The farther you progress with the farm, the harder the difficulty will get. This is to make up for the easier start that higher level players are also having and intended by design, to offer a challenge in the end.

However, if we notice after thorough analysis of this current event that the aforementioned challenge is actually harder than we anticipated, we will think about adjusting our Balancing accordingly.

With this in mind, we would also be interested in some opinions of users currently between level 30 and 50 - do you think you can finish up until stage 5 of the candy palace? How far have you progressed with the candy farm so far?

    Regards,
    Steffi

OK, you asked about lower level players, so here comes my answer. :)

First, I would like to say that I played all temporary farms since level 35, despite many players told me to wait until level 70. I don't regret, I was able to finish chapter 1 every time so far, two times at tropical island and two times at North Island (Viking and Norther Lights). Usually, thanks to that I was able to earn about 70 000 - 150 000 shells/ runestones per day (producing the second type of cocktail in the tropical island and second type of product in Vikings farm, one to two per day and selling also penguins and peacocks) and therefore I could buy some special seeds for the greenhouse and train my horses. Payout for finishing the chapter one and every of the stages from this chapter was also very good. It wasn't easy in general but horses are my favourite part of game so I decided to play that way (and came out to be good strategy, because ending in Platinum League two times brought me two gold licences) That's for the other temporary farms which I played being on levels 35 - 60.

At the moment I'm on level 70. And my farm has much better income in dollars than earlier but it's of course still quite limited. But I thought, OK, I will try to invest on this Candy Farm a bit more and maybe I will be able to buy even more special seeds and train my horses faster. I invested more, bought a bit more land than usual. upgraded buildings to levels 3 mostly and what I see now? I'm not even able to get close to 50 000 vouchers per day (suppose it is at 30 000?).
It was much easier on the other temporary farms. Of course I don't have enough dollars to buy whole land on this Candy Farm and upgrade everything to level 4. And as I read on forum it wouldn't even make much sense to do so because the payout is not worth it.
Yes, for building all this facilities on this farm I got nice amount of vouchers (maybe even about 800 000 in total because I already got the price for 700 000?) but it was not for the produced goods but just for the buildings. All previous farms gave me better income in shells/runestones even though I invested less and I was on lower levels. So to answer your question: for lower levels players this farm is also wasted time and dollars, much more than on other temporary farms!!!

I would also like to thank to players who made all calculations, it explained a lot to me and showed why I should not invest much more in this farm. Many thanks!!! It was also very interesting to read. :)

I think this Candy Farm is very unbalanced as it is now, and many changes should be made to make it worth any attention. The graphics are OK, even if I'm not into this pink/yellow coloration but graphics seems like the only good point about this farm. And cute looking alpacas.
My son really is happy to see the growing Candy Palace, I think it's nice idea also. Only why someone in GGS forgot to do the math?! :(

The advise is great... however when you look at their candy farm they are not following it.

    WHAT'S UP WITH THAT?

This is my first Temp Farm.
I do not think I will attempt another one.
I do not like this greenhouse thing that opens to feed the ship. The seeds are EXPENSIVE. Taking most of my vocher money.
I am slowly upgrading my CF. SLOWLY. I have spent MILLIONS on this farm that could have went to my other farms.
I do not see the reward from a Temp Farm unless it would be the deco's you earn.
I do not see the sense in all this Math computations, my goodness,,, makes me poor brain hurt.
I have read them and read them and still not have a sense of what to grow, produce.
I am just focusing on upgrading what I have bought, and growing what I can, and producing what I can. I am not going to EXPAND my CF to the lengths that others have. For now that to me is a total waste of money. Mainly because I have no desire to be in first place.
I am at level 71/72 and find that I am still struggling with keeping them bubbleheaded workers happy on all 4 farms.
    So?
My question is, when this CF goes away, will that stinking greenhouse still be open and will I have to "feed" that ship the items from it, from now on?
Cause I sure do not like feeding that ship from the green house.....
Cost way way way toooooo much money and without the money, how can I buy if the CF goes away?

Yes, the Greenhouse will still be open and the ship will continue to ask for the Candy farm fruit unless you do a different temp farm. You can't buy any more seeds until the voucher trader returns, if you have any vouchers left, and you never know when that will be. The temp farms are only needed as a means to an end. The end being the accumulation of a large amount of horseshoes to train your horses. If you click on the Airport wheel menu and the (?) at the top, you will see the overview of how the cycle is designed to work.

nooca, thank you so much for this ,and yes, you are right again, these 3 machine on candy farm, each one can produce different product, and also has different max units,it makes me confuse for these days.
By the way, I remember the sugar mill level 1, I don't have any (- +) button in page 1,but the page 2 has (- +)button,in my silly thoughts, page 2 should be difficult than page 1,and the max amount should smaller than page 1.So I post this silly question:love:
Thanks everyone waste your time answer my question, thanks a lot.

You don't have to donate to the castle if you don't want to. You can just sell the goods, in fact I saw that you make more that way. This way you can buy your seed and that is all. The castle is actually an option. You can make all the candies and sell them without unlocking them in the castle.

Well POOT now I wish I had never opened the CF
Because feeding those seeds is unreal
And it forces me to do another Temp Farm,
WHICH I did not want to do anymore

After a look of you Candy Farm, you seem to be doing okay, Victoria. I alternate between making Marzipan and chocolates. Growing Sugar Cane in the daytime, and grass at night time. Producing Chocolate is my top prioty, but since I am limited on cocoa with my current farm, I make Marzipan on the side. My Candy Factory is only level 2, so I don't make candies very fast, I actually have a surplus in ingredients because I am producing sugar and crushed almonds faster than I am using it.

Still, not going to be a very profitable farm though... even with all this work.

And yes, you're stuck with the greenhouse now :( The good news is (unless they change it), the other island farms aren't this bad, and are incredibly worth doing for seeds..

I haven't opened the candy farm yet....nor do I want to this time around.

What is unappealing is waiting on the seed vendor!!!

Why on earth can't the seed vendor sell ALL the types of seed for the greenhouse.

This would give players more options to get horseshoes with wealth accumulated from previous islands.

There is no advantage to restricting assets already accumulated!

Where does the money go when you sell items on the candy farm? Just seems to disappear.

When you sell items in the Candy Farm where does the money from the sale go??? It just seems to disappear. Cannot find it to buy anything.

You get vouchers for selling stuff on the candy farm. You never can sell things for money on any of the temp farms.
The vouchers you can then use to buy greenhouse seeds or candy-deco and candy-house for your permanent farms at the voucher trader in the pink truck.

Hi, zyzzie! You don't get money, you get vouchers that you can use to buy the seeds from the seed vendor on your main farms. If you open up the seed vendor, you can see the voucher totals.

You can see how many vouchers you have by looking in your inventory (objects tab) or by clicking on the traders truck at your main farms.

I am enjoying the candy farm. I don't expect to finish, not by a long shot, but that doesn't bother me. It's a nice change of pace -- and I do like having a 2x2 decoration (which can be upgraded for more points later) for a change! Thanks, devs!

I have stopped spending on candy farm.
even though I did enjoy it a little at the start ofc and i love the graphics, but until Devs fix the problems that I mentioned in my post number 311 on this thread (page 16), then while 40mil prize and 750000 palace is impossible, i see no more point in spending more dollars or time on this temp farm.

    FEEDBACK:
i really like the candy farm. GGS has done a great job this time. i like its graphics; although i am a bit scared of the lion. even the workers are new.
but the best thing abt Candy Farm is that it is not just another REPLICA of the classical Island Farm; and that makes all the difference.

i read somewhere GGS asking for feedback, so that they might consider to make similar changes to the island and viking farms. Please! Don't change the island farm. it is good as it is, or, maybe u can lower its costs for the first chapter. u can also create new workers for island farm. otherwise, don't change they way it works. don't make island farm a replica of the candy farm.

yet, i would really like to see a Viking Farm revamp. please, try to make it genuine. change everything abt it. the production cycle, the buildings, everything.

    * i am not playing the candy farm this time coz i have a lot of stuff to upgrade on gourmet and main farms. but i would definitely play the candy farm next time. wish i had an extra building slot!!!

Because it is a temporary farm event, and collectables never show on temporary farm events.

Collectables can only be collected on your main and gourmet farm. ^^

Decorations & collectibles are 2 different things, can you be more specific about which items you mean (object name would help) & where it is that they are not showing? 8|

    Hey gavinfarms,

it seems like you missed the announcement for our next update? Some of your feedback has already been taken into consideration.

We're changing the sugar mill timings for level 2 onward. You will see a decrease in production times for all goods after the update, e.g. Alpaca food dropping to 01:30 per batch with a level 2 sugar mill. Subsequent updates of the mill can decrease production times further. :)

If there is more feedback in regards to how you like the candy farm, what you dislike, what you enjoy, what could be improved, feel free to share it still.

    Regards,
    Steffi

No, I did not miss the announcement. It just seemed like there was finally interest in discussing real issues with the temporary farms. And so I put a lot of effort into real suggestions, and it is still not clear if they have even been read.
