    Tips

    A
word of caution: The Viking Farm has been designed for players of level 60 or over. Players under this level will find that playing these farms will place a massive drain on their resources and will delay the development of their other farms.

    All Levels

As space is at a real premium over here, upgrade your fence and gate to improve your happiness rating and keep your production costs down.

When expanding your farm, stretch over to B1 to get the Rune Circle deco as soon as you can (135
    :D).

Remember to upgrade your farmhouse: This will reduce processing time as well as providing extra workers and it doesn't eat up any extra space or reduce your happiness.

Do not begin work on high-end goods in the workshop until you have a task that requires them:

    • Tankards - Chapter 1, task 4 & Chapter 2, task 2
    • Helmets - Chapter 2, task 4
    • Sheepskin coats - Chapter 3, tasks 3 & 5

If your workshop would otherwise be sitting idle, use it to make tunics - flax is easily acquired whereas ingredients for other goods are usually in short supply.

    Levels 75 and under

Upgrade your bank to at least level 3 as quickly as possible.

It is unlikely that you will finish the whole 3 chapters unless you spend a massive amount of gold. Aim for Chapter 2, task 2, and then concentrate on making as many tankards as you can.

    Levels 75+

Fully upgrade your bank as soon as you can.

    Tasks

    Night Owl:
    1. Collect 60 Flax: 240 flax, 2 gooseberry seeds

    Achievements and Rewards

Achievement points can be gained for completing given tasks. Some tasks have only one level of achievement whilst others have many stages. As your points mount up you will receive rewards at set levels, the next of which is listed on the right hand side of the screen. Achievement points are used to rank players so they carry bragging rights as well as giving rewards.

    Sticker Book

There is also a sticker book feature, which you can fill with your achievements as you gain them. This is purely for showing off purposes, and quite right too - you worked hard for these awards! The right hand side of the screen shows which rewards will be available in the future and at which level. There are ranking and compare buttons at the top right of the screen for the competitive among you.

    Spoiler Alert!

There are a couple which aren't so easy to figure out, namely Help! and Logistics Expert.

Help! The in-game help can be accessed at the top right of the screen, here:

    Logistics Expert:
There are 4 distinct ways of loading goods to the bakery:
    1. Via the Farm management page
    2. Via the bakery command ring
    3. Via the harvest pop up
    4. Via the bakery page

There are two main types of tractors: Farm Machines (red tab) and Production Farm Machines (Green tab). All of them require certificates(certs) and toolboxes to upgrade and/or run. Certs can be won during missions. Toolboxes can be found when harvesting and producing on your main farm.

    Farm Machines

    Attachment not found.
    Retro Classic:
Upgrading this adds happiness to your farm. This is advantageous in the later stages where space is at a premium and there is no room for decos.
Earth Breaker: This increases the number of certs you can win on missions. Smurf's top tip: upgrade this one first, it'll make it easier to upgrade the others.
    Multi-Farmer:
This increases the number of reputation points you get from playing missions. This is advantageous in the Coop Challenge and also gives you increased bragging rights as it is used to rank players.

    Crop Chopper:
Increases the number of workers on your farm. This is advantageous in later levels as increasing upgrades eat up existing workers and there's no room for more houses.

    Production Farm Machines

Attachment not found.Once activated these machines have a time-out period before they can be used again. Upgrading them reduces the timeout period so that they can be activated more often.

    Powerhouse:
When activated, it lasts for one hour and increases the production yield of milk, pigs and chicken eggs for the percentage determined by the level you select. Smurf's top tip: activate when you log on to get a big cash bonus from all those extra animals.

    Humus Pro:
This converts regular humus into Premium humus. Again, there are different levels for selection.

    Special Press:
This provides special humus for the greenhouse, which increases the yield of fruit. An essential tool once you've started your island farm, worth stockpiling before you start too as it doesn't spread very far.

    Farm Flash:
This is used on the Gourmet Farm to increase the yield from the bakery. A good little money spinner.

In order to fit in new buildings and decos, it is sometimes necessary to reorganise. Chris (bdreish) has found this great app on the forum for reorganising your Main, Gourmet and Flower farms:

    http://seeshaa-productions.com/downloads/games/RedecoratingTool.swf

The easiest way to move things around is to create a little space for manoeuvre by popping a couple of your decos into storage. Just click on the Inventory icon (green box) on the decos circle menu:

You can place them back easily enough later, you won't have to rebuild them.
