Perhaps the term "reputation" points should be changed to something else. Because I was raised to believe that a reputation is something that is earned, not bought.

Myself and all my cooperative members are firmly and adamantly against buying reputation points during the Cooperative Championship. Some of us were grumbling about the unfairness of being able to use gold to win missions, but that was minor compared with the "Hot Deal" that came about. We were working hard and doing well for our size, experience, and real world financial standing, then we started sinking fast. That was when I noticed the "Hot Deal" and we all are outraged. When I first read about this controversy I thought it was about the reputation boosters and being able to use gold to win the individual missions, that in and of itself during a championship is unfair, but this "Hot Deal" to be able to buy reputation points DURING a Cooperative Championship is a complete rip off and makes the Cooperative Championship a farce and strictly about who is willing to spend the most real money and nothing about who can play the game the best strategically and cooperatively.

That's a nice comment. It's like that "hard work reward" I mentioned earlier in another thread in the debate with Yakoska about moral values, fair play and cheating. :) GGS obviousla doesn't have any consistency with what they create in the game. Just "money money money" no matter what. :) Now remember that when they again try to justify some unpopular change in the game by pointing to "consistency" :):):)

Btw our co-op dropped 5 places suddenly. Anyone has any idea why? :):)

I agree, we worked hard as a coop to get where we are and should not be beat by people who buy their way to the top.

I disagree with the buying of Reputation Points during the COOP CHALLENGE....it is an insult to everyone who spends the time to play.....you can offer it any time besides during the challenge....I have played this game for years, and I am growing more disgusted with Good games greedy tactics....I understand you are here to make money, but leave some level of fairness to the game, somewhere, please....this is advertised as a strategy game, and at every level, you are taking any real strategy out of it...just buy your way to the top...no fun at all...

I too believe it is unfair to those of us who actually work our farms to earn the rep points to be able to but points for gold. I do buy gold for hot offers that interest me, but not to buy rep points. It is unfair!!!

I also agree the option to buy RPs should be removed. There is a lot of hard work and dedication from all of us going into this so why even have the challenge if you can buy your way out? It's turning into who can buy the most and win the game, not time, commitment, hard work, dedication and skill. What honor and pride comes from buying a trophy?

I am a casual gold user and the thought of buying gold to get RP is distasteful I only look for hot deals that include mining certificates. I work hard to keep my farm going. yes I use big seeds in missions and only use gold to speed up long upgrades so that I can one day not have to use gold at all. I believe that selling RP is just a joke. If I was to buy that hot deal it would mean I wouldn't have to sit here day in day out and work my farm.

This is my main point and only my opinion

A game is to be played whether you use gold or not but to be able to buy RP is just plain wrong and it shouldn't be available to buy. Rep Points are just that something you work to get. You can't buy a Reputation in real life so why should you be able to in a game. Buying RP should be removed completely.

Very well put Farmerjohn!! I too was raised that way. I am not participating in the competition, but if I had, I would also suggest to remove this offer from the game, entirely!! It is unfair to everyone who is working to obtain the #1 spot.

grrythrrn here and I agree we should be allowed to have bragging rights to a challenge that can't be bought with the use of gold or reputation pt.s You would think that the games makes enough money at other things that we could really get to enjoy something that just requires us to work a little with no help.

I really can't believe that GGS listens to their customers so badly!!! There's always people who dislike things, but there has been a general uproar from both gold-players and non-golders about this ridiculous, disgusting deal!

When someone wins from me by using gold, I might grumble: "Grrrr...golders..." but at least I know they were sitting at their computer, clicking their hindquarters off to speedup and harvest and plant or feed, and speedup and harvest again.

I can understand GGS needs to earn something from their games too, but having people búy their reputation points in a competition, that's just completely overthrowing the whole competition effect.
Then it comes down who has the fattest credit-card, not who plans for it and works hard to éarn their points.

I added 4 level 2 chickens, 6 lvl 1 chickens, 6 lvl 1 fields, 1 lvl 1 piggy and 6 lvl 1 goats for the competition. I like to be prepared :D Those kinds of things are what makes it fun for me, but giving people the possibility to buy their points.... that just STINKS!

But I fear the only way to get rid of it, is that nobody will buy them anymore....

I too believe this was unfair to every player who has worked hard farming. Many players cannot afford to play with gold and yet have been farming constantly to gain their rep points. We've all been farming constantly to meet the challenge and for what? to watch others buy their way to the top, disgraceful.

I agree with this. this is unfair to all who worked so hard on it and removes any reason to participate in it again. Please show some respect for your players who did work on it. it is an insult.

I would like to say that I, too, feel that buying the reputation points defeats the comraderie and teamwork of the Team Challenge.... please don't allow this to occur again. I think a competition should have a level playing field to be truly valuable. Please don't schew the results with buyouts. No Bueno!

I am a gold player. I am happy to spend real money to buy gold, but I hated the 'buy reputation points' deal during the co-op challenge.I do not want it tweaked or ammended, I want it removed entirely from the co-op challenge.

I totally agree. My coop was #3 in the challenge with a lot of missions back 2 back for days and yes with using gold on the missions and now we have plummeted to #6 since the buy rep points came. Isn't the gold spent to win missions enough for ggs it is ridiculous!!! The co-op challenge was meant to get coop members to work as a team and frankly I am sick of this crap it is unfair to buy rep points they should only be earned and if they really want people to BUY their way to the top then they should only be allowed to buy a maximum of 100,000 rep points per person after they buy 100,000 gold. This is the same as if two sports teams where playing a game against each other and the owners bought their wins by bribing the referees it is plan and utter CRAP.

Furthermore if this continues they will loss a large portion of their customers since OBVIOUSLY working as a team DOESN'T matter since you can just buy the trophy. boooooooooo SHAME on you ggs...X( X( X( X( X( ;( ;( ;( ;(

As several people have pointed out, GGS is a business, and they are in business to make money. I think we all understand that. So if players buy the RP deal, GGS will continue bringing it back. Are players buying? The change in the RP ranks on the US server since this deal started tells the story - people are buying. In some co-ops, a lot of people are buying.

That is why I'm afraid GGS will continue to offer this deal. The only way to stop it would be for players - all players - to stop buying it.

Y'all are making some excellent points!! I also think it would be a shame to see a trophy on someone's farm and thinking "wonder how much they paid for that" instead of "WOW...what an accomplishment"

I do not think that people should be allowed to buy rep-points.. I thought the point of a Co-op Mission was to work together and DO the missions... not get ahead buy buying rep points... so many people actually DO the work to get the rep points, X(

This defeats the whole purpose of the co-operative. Why would Good game set up a challenge to then undermind the players. This deal should be removed immediately. We should all stop buying gold!!!!!. This is rediculous!!!!!!

I agree. Remove the Hot Deal Cheat.
    Griffith wrote: »
that Hot deal was shameless. and to make it worse it can be bought 7 times. absolutely ridiculous! I'm a lvl 120 active player and during this co-op event with putting lots of time and effort (+70% multifarmer machine +30% booster from event itself) i roughly managed to get 1.4mil points and less than 100 players(including those who even bought the offer) managed to get more points than that in international server which is a big server at least with alot of players.
now if we remove that 100% extra points of machine+boosters(dollars), then with that much effort even you can say i only earned 700k points.

so I see some players talking about "facts" and "stats" here, and I thought I should add these "facts" too. that hot deal offer for buying reputation points in total 7 times could give instant 7x120k = 840k points. without the need of any machine or any dollar booster even that is more than the points i could earn even.

now i'm not gonna discuss about "exceptions" here. no. ofc there exist players who managed to get even 2mil points or so without any gold even. but that's pretty much close to the max amount one can get without use of gold, and even heavy gold users could roughly get more than 3mil points. now that was reasonable though, because:
1- they actually had to "use" the gold,
2- they actually had to "participate" in the competition and spend some "time" at least too not just money.
3- they actually had to be human players or gamers in other words.

and with all that, the main difference was just about 1mil points between them and hard working non-gold users at least.

now on the other hand with that Hot Deal offer, all those 3 criteria that is mentioned above was disrupted. or in other words, a pig with a credit card can actually earn almost as many points as a hardworking free player can earn in the whole event.

yes i am talking about numbers here. normally if that offer was only "1-time 120k points" offer, i could understand it, ggs runs a business yes we all know that, so that could at least be acceptable cause it was 120k points only, or if it was "30k points 7-time" offer even, the total would add up max to 210k points, even though that does lower the fun in competition but still even that could be understandable. but when we talk about 840k instant points, as a gamer whether i be gold user or not even, if i feel like a [derogatory term removed] with credit card can earn almost as many points as a hardworking player instantly, i can't consider it a game even anymore, or competition to add to that too. it is not even a discussion anymore so stop talking about "facts" this is the only fact and it means that hot deal is simply a shameless joke which is not even funny really!

if you read the things i said and agree with me about this matter(only), put your name as a sign on this thread, if you want that hot deal to be removed or at least reasonably "changed" next time the co-op event comes (based on the example i made in above paragraph - the total acquirable amount of points from hot deal shall be much more limited).

p.s. just to be clear I am not trying to offend any gold player here btw, I actually thank them for supporting the game and helping co-op mates too, but that is only when they actually are at least playing and enjoying the game themselves too together with their co-op mates though, so try to understand the difference in this specific case plz.
I make an extreme example to make my point more clearly: if someone makes 65 fake accounts(max co-op let's say) and keep each at lvl 10 or something and buy 840k points from each, they can own the whole competition and ruin everything, that means this hot deal is basically awkward.
ofc this example was exaggeration to show the misfit-nature of this hot deal but i hope you understand my point.

Ofcourse Keith, make more people buy the 'deal' because they want the 200%, makes it look like a lot of people like this deal and will buy it.

Please, please people, don't! Don't make the mission competition into a credit card competition!? If nobody buys, it won't be a success!

I am completely against this reputation buy deal. I think GGS was targeting people that have a lack of patience, strategy, ethics, and morals with this deal.

But I think it is also a trap for players who don't want to see the rug yanked from under their co-op that worked hard, put in a lot of time, and made the event fun. Do you buy reputation points to protect the co-op's standing in the competition? Or do you watch as another co-op seizes the opportunity to gain a position they couldn't do with hard work and teamwork.

A "solidarity" trophy is not something to be mocked. Attaining such a reward should be a goal met with pride. Just as anyone who abides by rules in games and sports does. GGS wants people to abide by their rules, but don't think it is necessary to abide by the rules of life for folks with decency and respect for honesty and true sportsmanship.

If GGS is so desperate for money, they should not make a game "free to play" but have a game just for those who are willing to pay for their entertainment. Perhaps these shyster and unsavory character moves are the only means they know to fill their pockets with money. Wait! We already know that isn't true, because they reported a huge profit! They add new bugs to their games on a regular basis without fixing long-standing bugs and still earn a huge profit.

I don't think profit is the only motive here. I think they really like creating a game where the lowest tactics are rewarded. You don't need any human decency to play the game they are creating. I do mean creating. It isn't finished, polished, or refined yet, and we are just getting a glimpse of the future of this game. The game can barely be considered beta-tester worthy, with all the bugs. How long until the player has to leave all decency and self-respect at the door, before they begin playing? But, by all means, do not enter without your credit card.

For all the people thinking that NOT buying the reputation buy deal will make it go away - that is never going to happen. People that lack decency but have a huge wallet, will continue to buy their points, wins, and trophies. Apparently, a lot of those people play this game and GGS is sure going to take advantage of this.

Also, we already know that people get upset over even simple matters. This is just another issue that people will get upset by, both those opposed and in favor of the rep buy. The more people are upset, the more likely they are to post something GGS doesn't like. They have a long history of deleting entire threads. This also deletes the voices of those who want to make their voices heard. Convenient?

Think about how the forum would look to a new player, if they actually were allowed to see previously posted issues and complaints. If you pay attention, you know that half the forum is comprised of only what GGS wants to be seen. Some posts and threads are deleted so quickly that not a person other than the poster sees them. The issues with the game will never be resolved because it is so easy for GGS to delete every word of their unhappy consumers/players. Then they can feign ignorance of what their players really think. And continue to provide a game that has people leaving in disgust, but coming in without knowing the whole truth, because GGS is so diligent with deleting posts and entire threads instead of letting voices be heard.

It won't be long until this thread is gone. But I bet the unscrupulous reputation point buy deal will be around for quite a while. We live in a world that people with a lack of scruples is a majority. And go figure, they also have credit cards. For GGS they have a big target on their foreheads. And big dollar signs is apparently what people are, and what matters most to this company. The rest of us are just along for the ride, unless we choose to find ways to have more influence to GGS or leave. I highly doubt anything good will become of utilizing their own forum to get things changed. History proves that.

I am in the #1 coop. Some use gold, some don't but the thing that all of us do is sit at our computers and "PLAY". We work hard and we work together. We are NOT buying rep points. Some who work come home and play late into the night so that we can support our coop.

If we stay #1 it will because we earned it and didn't just pull out a credit card and buy first place. Many of our people are retired and can't buy gold but they are serious players and they support the coop and the game itself. PLEASE get rid of his horrible buying of rep points. It takes away from everyone. How could anyone feel they had truly won if they bought that standing.
I am also totally against the reputation points to buy
but dont come with statements that nobody bought rep points in your coop
I can see that at least 5 bought the rep points
i noted the rep points from the players of the top 4 coops every day.

in all coops the reputatio points are bought for all diferent reasons.

if nobody bought no other coop feels pressured to do also

There you are, you know what GGS thinks of our comments , and a certain someone on here knew that we would have it , but they dont have the decency to be honest.

Its funny how i get a warning from GGS for telling the truth, yet all we get of them is deceitful lies, i cannot wait to see what excuses are put on here, when they decide to stop reading and make a comment.
I like how you are all realising the truth about GGS, just as I have been saying for 6 months, i noticed someone was trying to make out they dont make a fortune, opps fell off my chair again, do not forget BIG FARM is just one of the games
