At level 35 the island farm is just a money pit. I've abandoned it. But if I demolish a resource are the workers freed up for my other farms?

With the seashells, you can buy greenhouse seeds and some decorations at Benny's green truck.

The deco's you buy in Benny's truck is not for placing on the Islad, they can only be placed on your permanent farms...
    - But deco's buy from Benny's green truck did not dissapear when the Island is gone, you can keep them forever, if not you by youself throw them away or demolish them. :)

I nearly forget: At Benny's truck you also can buy Island houses to be placed on your permanent farms, and like the deco's you'll keep these houses forever also after the Island is gone.
The island houses is a little better than the regular houses, but not as good as the gold houses (Fancy houses)

You think its "fair" for a person to play a game for free, to get the same rewards as someone who supports the game with money so that you can play it for free?

so u think its fair ,i dont think it is fair so the time is spending by us in island farm is waste.

Yes, here is how I see it...
For players who don't use any or much gold, under 63ish level, and over a certain point I'm not sure exactly... I think that doing the first chapter in a month is a good goal. You get one of the best decos you can get without gold (the sand castle is better than any of the week long events, and you have a month to do it).

For players who don't use any or much gold, over say around 75... when soap and honey cream are starting to make you money... but before you are 'really rich'. The first two chapters are a good goal, with great rewards in the sand castle and fortress.

For players who don't use any or much gold, but have 100-150 mil sitting around, all three chapters are in reach. With the addition of a third deco the Sand Fortress, and the Lemur statue as a nice bonus as well.

For players who don't use gold, the 'chase' piece is the Pearl. The single best deco in the game size/happiness wise. Easy? No. It takes a LOT of dedication to get it without gold. I know at least two people who have, and I am attempting it myself (with caveats).

If you use gold... things obviously get easier depending on how much gold you buy. So for gold users, GGS has added the Tropical Cows and Tropical Pigs as chase pieces depending on how much of a gold user you are.

So I think the Island offers something for everyone (Of course since the events come around all the time, you can choose how hard to go after it each time) and is as well balanced it can be in a game with such a wide range of users. Some people play occasionally, some very often. Some spend no money, some spend a lot. And of course all the shades in between.

Why don't you give the players a choice like the weekend events in how dificult you want to play it and also how big the reward is.

Or Next time the Island comes back, you can buy the building you already built last time for a cheaper price, or you have to fix them because they where damaged by the storm, but you don't have to start from a blank page.
This would be a good thing for those who want to complete it completely but don't have the money for it.

so does that mean all our hard work and money spent on the island all disappear and when it comes back we start from scratch all over again??? How fair is that ??? why cant the island go away or stay where is it as the way we left it... so next time we just start were we left off.. that way some of us wont feel like we wasted time effort or money...

The first time i didn't knew it was a tempererly event and everything was going to disapear again, so the first time i realy invested in the island and was disapointed i had to start from scratch the next time the island came back.
I expected the buildings you already builded would stay there for the next time the island came back.
They should put a warning there for the new users!
Or just let the buildings stay there for the next event!

The island is about to end.
From what I remember, everything I built deleted.
Do not want to download all the stuff to get some more shells?

You get 100% for demolishing buildings on the island yourself, and 50% when you let the system demolish things after the island event ended.
You will also get shells for any upgrades you did on the permanent buildings (bar, community house, fence, gate) and for the rest of your farm dollars, might there be anything left.

Not sure what you mean exactly with "downloading" ....

    SO,
    You should destroy everything,
    I understand that right?

Well - you can decide yourself and do whatever you want.

I myself will demolish everything before the end of the event; because I am only growing mangos/oranges/peanuts/grapes/peacocks and making slushes in the bar this time, to gain some more shells ..... I always start demolishing 3 days before the end (am now demolishing 2nd item).

I already did all 3 chapters and won the 3rd castle 2 months ago, and during that event I went on growing/harvesting till the very end of the event because winning this 3rd castle was more important and gaining this huge amount of shells far more profitable.

So - it takes some math doing, and therefore your choise depends on how you played the island event. ^^

You have to decide for yourself, are you getting more than 1/4th the value of the items by keeping them and producing to the end or not.

I almost never demolish anything than makes shells, unless it can't make them anymore (due to time, or missing ingredients).

Your question is still above & 2 people answered it.
You can demolish your own island buildings and get 100% of the shell value or you can continue to farm for more shells right up to the last minute & let the game demolish the buildings for 50% of the shells...... It is up to you which way you will make more shells.

When the island ends, everything gets demolished & converted into shells, including any cash. We don`t know the exchange rate for cash > shells, but its not very high.

I did my best with the island farm but now it isnt there ..i found i could not keep up with it..i never saw how many shells i got for projects but now that the farm isnt there i see them ..seems to me i felt i made alot more than it showed. Things were too much money kept having to exchange to get more and that made my main farm suffer..just saying

The event ended, that's why you cant go to your tropical farm anymore :)
The next event farm coming up should be the Viking farm. it will probably start after the co-op challenge is done.

As for the shells: during the event you can see how many shells you've earned in a few different ways. You can check the island rankings. There you'll also see if you've manage to win any decorations as "hard working" rewards. You can also see the amount of shells you have by visiting the seashell trader. And of course you can always, even when the event isn't running, check your "equipment tab" in the inventory.

Yes, the event farms are very expensive and it's advisable not to focus too much on them before you are a higher level, like lvl70 and higher, and you have millions of farm dollars.

First off. I am not being awarded the correct totals from collecting peacocks. I have 6 Lvl 1 coops in which =2400 to be collected. I have currently collected 4 times and is only showing 5200?

Second. I upgraded the gate and went from -76 to -58 happiness?

    Whats up?
