Yes, I expected a crappy horse being offered for just Golden Horseshoes, based on "Horses can be available for gold, competition horseshoes or both." :)

But really, if the level 18 costs gold, how bad will a horse have to be to cost 0 gold? I'm curious to see.

Also, I'm not 100% sure... but I think I lost my refill can in the update? I'm pretty sure I had time remaining.

Does this mean, they cost GHs AND Gold?! Or can one chose?! Not that I think 65k GHs are reasonable either -.-
Plus I'm far away from starting the market in the first place, as I don't use gold, thus, no big amounts horseshoes and fast training upgrades. bla.

I was actually looking forward to this horse market. To be able to buy a more advanced horse for my golden horse shoes? Great! The talk about using gold had me a bit worried but still mostly excited.

And it turns out to be useless. My strongest horse has a breeding value of 50, waiting to breed it with another horse I have in training. I also have some weaker ones standing around, eating all my hay..
The horses on sale at the market are around <3 15 with no special effects to talk about. And the only one that doesn't cost gold costs an exorbitant amount of golden horse shoes.

Yeah, I just think I'll do it the old fashioned way...

I have one that is for shoes only and 2 for a combo of shoes & gold....

    BL24 +3 Agility = 51,028 shoes + 508 gold
    BL28 (Q1) +4 Endurance, +5 Endurance = 51,869 shoes + 5845 gold
    BL13 +2 Endurance = 48,000 shoes (no gold)

    Positively underwhelmed I am yoda2-35325.gif

A bit disappointing indeed. I may think however about trying purchasing the cheapest one, because I have very big difference between my best horse and the two weaker ones (best is 44, two other at 10) The cheapest horse I'm able to buy on market is 8 (breeding quality 1-normal), so if I train it to 20 it may match the foal I want to have from the two 10 BL horses when trained. Kind of makes sense to me. ?(

Now, I wouldn't be surprised to see the gold sale with free golden horseshoes so gold players will be able to buy the better quality horses very easily and even without doing competition. I hope not

not sure if can call this an "update" even, rather I'll think of it as "goldate" or sth like that I guess.... still not sure honestly.. maybe Goldy... or Ellie Goulding... can't decide sorry... something with gold though in short :S
I don't like senseless complaining but seriously ggs at least show us one good side or point about this update so I can convince myself with it at least and pretend being happy...
all 3 horse offers are crappy and need both gold and GHS, and a lvl 10 - qualityone horse for 20k GHS + 1400 gold? come on... I mean well... come on!

The horse market is useless!!! if you have a horse with a breeding value of 40 already you don't need the horse market to get a better horse! Was excited by the when first mentioned now just disappointed,

A lvl 17 horse with a +23 effect, 21.099 GHS and 30.891 gold. Don't know yet if the +23 is the best effect available, but sofar its possible to build a horse, lvl 100 with an effect of +138.

and that brings a more important question, of why would someone pay 30000 gold(and ofc much more than that is even needed anyway) to win only 3 gold license(or 6500 gold) per 2 months even anyway 8|

P.S. that being said ^ from this point is just a guess but just wait for it though, they will add special almond and peach orchards soon to diamond league probably, to once again by cutting majority of players, make another feature only for few extreme gold users again only! so that the whole cursed Extreme-Gold-farm stables and orchards cycle be completed for those players and ggs with an smile on their face of how they managed to rob those players, probably shut down the game after it in few months.

I know what you mean we can only get the regular horseshoes from the ship but only ever 6 hours. And it is hard to get enough of the shells to be able to buy the other seeds.

Didn't you see a new deco for entering the Diamond League? A nice goal for me)

i just noticed it, but that deco has only bit higher happiness/per square, than 3rd chapter prize of temp farms (which can easily be attained by dollar only, no gold needed), and it is by far lower happiness/per square than "pearl" deco, which again can be (not very easily, but still) attained by dollar only.
so basically what i mean is, i dont really think that deco alone will be enough to motivate extreme gold spenders to spend tons of gold, rather special almond and peach orchards are the key lol, I dare ggs to prove me wrong on this actually.(I'd be happy honestly if I be wrong about this)
this whole cycle of special stables and orchards which came 2 by 2 every time with 1 new "not-much-of-a-competition" events seems like been planned from long ago even, and i almost guessed it right in every new update in past few months.

P.S. and consider that most probably they will again use a "two-phase" milking strategy, same as they did with temp farms(and ranking=pigsty+cowshed stables) and co-op challenge event(apple+cherry orchards). meaning they may not add almond and peach special orchards to diamond league this time, but rather add them next time to boost "milking gold" again.
the term "milking" i use also is common economic term for companies that reach "milking cow" state, in which they just focus on making most money before shut down. and that means the cost of R&D for this "game" is probably reaching zero = no cost or further investments and rather just get as much money as can and then let it finish, and invest on next "games" (in which they are currently investing instead now, both their human resource = developers, and their other resources such as money)

I'm not complaining about this, but it's only making sense to me if they intended in the future to allow us to sell our horses for gold, even if little.

    Also distinctly underwhelmed here :(

    Currently I have a lvl 7stable, with three horses: lvl 60, lvl 52 & lvl 13

    My offers are:
    lvl26 with +27speed for (wait for it) 152,318gold :O
    lvl 6 for 20,000ghs & 33gold
    lvl28 with +1ag & +4jp for 60,000ghs & 93gold

None of these is even remotely tempting.
The first one might be if it wasn't so ridiculously expensive, and the other two I could train up in a day or two, so what's the point???

Unless the rewards for the diamond league are something amazing, how could it possibly be worth spending that much gold?

So I have an option that is half decent... 21 strength, 19 endurance and 19 agility, 33k golden shoes... thought I would try and purchase.. hit purchase, get the Watch out!! not enough items available message. Considering I have 230k gold shoes it should not be a problem... refreshed, cleared cache, whole nine. NOTHING!!! So when a decent deal actually shows up, you cant even buy it!!

    Once again failed by GGS.

The Golden Stallion is a very nice addition. Wouldn't make me spend gold either.

edit> Okay I'm a sap... I spent the 290 gold to skip my Horse Market offers... very interesting turn...

    Lvl 24, BQ 1, 0 Effects??: 62,366 GH, 107 Gold (Trot Fam)
    lvl 27, BQ0, +2 Str: 80,000 GH, 246 gold (Trot Fam)
    lvl 28, BQ0, +2 Str: 60,000 GH, 207 (Farmer Derpy!)

Note how that #3 is better and cheaper.... Still probably won't buy... though I do need a high 20's horse...
  • edited 12.02.2015
i dint like the idea of only people with lv40 horse can buy these horse. there are many goldusers with less lv horse and can afford to buy good horses

Some players have an uncontrollable urge to be 'the best', no matter the costs. GGS doesn't rob these players, they provide them with an shortcut. There is no better market then selling 'game smartness' to players who obviously need it. As long as awareness is not included in the deal, its infinite.

not sure if I'm gonna like this update...
basically it seems not only horseshoes but also now after this update golden horseshoes will be only wasted on horses to just get very little prize from horse competition? was hoping we actually can win something else than these crappy tournament prizes from golden horseshoes at least... it seems like an almost pointless circle. (like i guessed from the start anyway) and to make it worse, ppl can buy horses with gold too, which will probably be way superior than normal or golden horseshoe horses even, or in other words normal players wont have any chance to win anything "actually" good from the tournament even anyway then.

    so let's list it again:

    dollar > island/viking dollar > shells/runestones > seeds > fruits > ship load > horseshoes > golden horseshoes > horses > only these crappy tournament prizes every 2 month?!!

this is soooooo much effort for soooo little outcome honestly... and let me guess Almond and Peach special orchards are prizes of Diamond league probably which only again is attainable only by extreme gold users?

I'd say lol you're simply being rude to Majority of your players GGS.

GGS being simply rude,? more like their sticking their two fingers up at us again. MONEY MONEY MONEY is all that GGS care about. They would sell their great Grannies teeth if it got them a Gold Sale.

I just want to make sure, if I buy a horse, which of my horses would it replace? I'm presuming it's the one with the lowest breeding value?

Sable I think you need a barn space for the horse, it shouldn't replace another horse.
