The stars are xp points for your horse. You are not missing anything on the horse, there is nothing there.
where can I see how many yellow stars I have?
There doesn`t appear to be anywhere yet that shows how many Training points we have collected or what they are for. There is a thread about it here hopefully its something that will be explained when we get the rest of the horse ranch features. ^^
I agree completely! I upgraded all training areas to Level 4, maxed out my training, now there's nothing to do at all except lose rates.
HOW do you get it to breeding quality????????? Training? How much? Which ones?
No instructions here what so ever. The "show me" button only brings me to the barn. OHHHH KAYYYY.
What exactly does this show anyone?
bah. Not one bit impressed. And judging from all the training my first horse got and STILL loses every darn thing I try, I doubt I'll waste much time on this.
Still I'd like to give it a whirl at least once. But how? Do we have to sift through forum posts to figure things out here? I do have a life! Why not make this more intuitive? Bring to breeding quality. Really? Do real horses know this? OR do they just let nature take it's course? How about we bring two into the same pen and leave them be?
There seems to be no menu to get the second horse to race against the NPCs. Is that a bug, or by design? Since the first horse almost always loses, how do we finance the upgrades?
Thank you Ria_2. That would have been good to include in the ingame tutorial, I missed those arrows. I was hoping the lower level one would win a bit more often than the original one, oh well, and I would have been hoping that each horse could race each NPC each three hours, so thanks for pointing that out too... so it will take forever to do upgrades with race horseshoes. To be truthful, I am getting a bit bored with the Ken dolly-like horses, just politely saying.
And now, training is much faster at the low levels. Training your breeding level 10 horse (if its lvl 10) gets you to lvl 14. As does training your 2nd, breeding level 0 horse. You are still going to have the issue of losing often, but so what? It doesn't cost anything but a click to race.
Edit> Oooh, and I like the family tree details.
Seriously could you make it anymore confusing GGS?
I find the whole horse thing nothing but frustrating.
To continue I have to buy another horse and start all over again. I think not!!
Also try to train it, You will find out your new horse much quicker than your original horse will raise in levels.
[btw I just bred mine and lost the good one I had and now have an inferior one] so much for the random effect making you get a better horse. I will have to waste more horseshoes to get this horse up to the level the old one was. The cost in shoes to upgrade the facilities is ridiculous at level 5 you would have to win hundreds of races in order to upgrade one facility because the prizes are so small.
The whole thing is rigged so you just keep wasting products throwing them away instead of selling them or using them in the bakery etc and helping you build up your main farms. I have found it is radically stopping my progress in saving money for land etc having to do these temporary farms. I really feel like it is getting to the point that I am "losing'' in this game and really you are not supposed to be able to lose as long as you keep working at it steadily.
I added extra cherry and peach orchard just so I can throw them away onto the boat and that is still not helping. Maybe if you are at the 100+ level you just don't even notice those losses because you harvest so much extra stuff anyway because you have all these extra orchards but I am not at that level yet and I never intended to grow my farm into a factory farm. I want it to be a family farm sort of feel to it and with all this extra crap GGS is throwing at us I am losing that. It really saddens me that they are not giving players a choice but to have to ''go factory'' in order to just keep up with the extras they throw at us. I guess it is my choice to play the temp and horse farms.
The smaller farmser just aren't playing just because they can't anyway. They don't have access to the flower farm or in some cases the 2nd farm either. I would like to play the full game but it is getting to the point where there is really no choice. I guess GGS wants people to spend gold just to keep up and other than what I earn they can forget that for me.
A game should be fun not frustrating and disappointing all the time. And frankly the game just hasn't been a lot of fun for quite some time.
Have to agree with you on a lot of points you put forward:
IO
I trained 2 level 1 horses to 14 (takes 2 max trainings at each station) The next time you try to train it, it will only go to 15 with 1 max train. Instead, breed the 2 horses.
The foal of these 2 horses will go from 14 to 24 with 1 max training... yes, IT IS BETTER.
MrsSGB... in the breeding box (before you breed the horses) it will tell you what the new foal will be, no surprises should be had. If for instance have a 25 and a 15 breeding value horses, the foal will be 20, averaging the two. I think the "chance of a better horse" that you are talking about is the extra breeding effects you get when the foal is at a certain level, or the chance for a quality (if there is a pink bubble with a number in it after the foal is created)
They should have just admitted the mistake, and gotten rid of this boring silliness called the stable and the absurd and ridiculous looking horses housed there.
Instead, they made it even more boring by rolling out an update which now forces us to do the same boring things with multiple horses.
Edit> i'm sorry i can see wabbit here, just when i replied a post with quote i realized that i nedd to quote another one so i t could not be undone to multi-quote again..so it is not my fault ..sorry
I'm with you on this one. Will finish up this game when the last gold coin is spent, no point in expanding to have mega farm. When I visited some of the large farms (competitors in missions), I didn't like their appearance, not very appealing, can't see their dog or their workers with all the stables, orchards, and houses packed like sardines. Thank you Mrs. Brown for bringing clarity to me.
