What does 'Furthermore, more treats can now be applied to each player's farm' mean? Does this mean you can apply treats to your own farm?

As it is just now before the new update comming, if I want to give you some nice gift from the "Naughty or Nice", I only can give you one gift, and then there must go a waiting time before I again can send you a gift.

As I understand it, after the updat, I can send you up to 3 nice gifts at once, and then I have to wait a while before I can send you more gifts.

Nah, it means you can sustain more treats on your farm, given other players treat you with them.
John, I completely agree. I recently nice pranked a members silo and I couldn't even tell it was sparkling so of course the new member I gifted had no idea :(.

It should be easy to add some more obvious graphics other then a few tiny sparkling stars.

That's a thing we already strongly suggested to the dev team, so maybe there might be something in the works for this :)

With so much additions in various places concerning the Island Farm, does it mean that the Island Farm is in fact our 4th Farm for good?

No, Seaweed stuff will be there additionally, and it will be used as a very rare reward and item. No changes will be made to super- or premium fertilizer/humus/feed.

No, it isn't. In fact they promised that the airplane would bring us to more locations, not just the island.
So in time you might find yourself in a batcave collecting bats. You might even look at your backpack, filled with books about how to grow oranges, breed peacocks etc. You might even start to wonder.

Any south park fans out there????

They JUST did a show where the kids download some game app. Spend money to buy game money.
So you can buy buildings, collect game jewels, spend more money.... lol. I about busted a gut thinking how much that show was like this game.

Saw it, had the same thots. Didn't know whether to laugh or cry or kick myself for falling for it!

I'm really not interested in doing the Island again so soon. I don't see where playing again so soon benefits lower level players with smaller cash flows. It would be helpful to those players if there was a little more advanced warning so they could save up money to be able to properly take advantage of the island and help them with their horse ranch. SINCE WE AREN'T giving a longer period of notice and since most players have concerned themselves more with how to complete the island I'm going to focus my time on the island figuring out the best bang for the buck for lower level players who don't have great amounts of cash or gold. I'm asking other players like myself who can easily afford to play the island to join me in helping figure out how to best help out lower level players to find success on the island. WHO'S IN?(

    I'm in.

Lets say the target is to keep the ship going for 6 weeks, three times/day.
We have to find the cheapest way to obtain the shells to make that happen.

Is the minimum amount of fruit the ship askes for the same on each level?
Im at lvl 169 and the ship wants (minimum) Lemon:245, Pineapple:195, Grapes:175 and Melon:135.

    Correction:
Lemon should be Lime and grapes should be grapefruits.

    Great Trippel!!

Now for those of you who are looking for help Trippel, along with whoever wants to help and I need to know what amount of money you can afford to put into your island farm. Just give us a daily amount you think you can afford. Then we can help all players with a better understanding of what would be close to the minimal amount you need to invest to keep your ship going when the island is done.

ALRIGHT TRIPPEL IS IN!!! Who else wants to help???

Level 72 now and ship wants minimum: pineapple 189, lemon 234, at the moment. I don't remember others, haven't got seed for a looong time ;) so i don't even look for them anymore.

Level 54, the ship is asking for 249 limes and 198 pineapples.
Wish I could help in this project but at the current level I'm only good at growing oranges, lol. Anything more than that would quickly send me to bankruptcy.

On topic – I'm looking forward to the tree being put back in sight. Might remember to water it more often.

@Dara and @Jinxy, thanks for the info.

Looks like the numbers are about the same.
To fill the ship 6 weeks, 3 times/day, 2 loads gives a total of 252 loads.
This gives an avarage of 63 loads for each type of fruit. (This is actually pretty spot on).
To grow fruits for this loads and assuming the size of the loads are correct, you need the following number of seeds: Lime:772, Grape 381 , Pine 232 and Melon 117. Value in shells: 4.3 mln.
The math is done with normal seeds but buying special seeds will make no big difference.

At this point finishing book 2, task 2 and 4 extra Slush seems the best way to obtain the shells, but im missing all the data to know for sure if this is actually true.

The use of greenhouse humus has a great impact on the number of seeds you need and therefore on the number of shells. If you have plans on visiting the island, start producing this humus.

The island is super expensive and we still need to do a lot of work on the other 3 permanent farms.I barely did anything for the island the last time it was here because it will break you of hard earned money that we need for the 3 regular farms.I hope whomever want to invest a bunch of gold and their moneys into it have fun because me and my coop members are not even trying anymore.

I'll be playing. As usual, I might occasionally use gold to rush things like when I go to bed, etc... and I might invest in Peacock and Mango library books, depending on the cost, and discount offer. But I will use cash to buy all the land, buildings, etc. Last time I had 50 mil going in... this time I'm at 83 and counting. Last time I finished comfortably over Pearl, but below Cow... Hoping to get closer to cow this time.

Although I am running out of many fruit seeds, I am not sure about Island Farm.
    For version 1, I thought I had spent 30M.
Now for version 2, my bank balance (wish it is real) has actually increased 90M in a month. While the balance was dropping when I was running the island farm for a month, I suspect that I had actually spent 90M on it.
Of course, I got several great decorations from Island V.2, but do I need more of those?
What else can I gain if I am to spend extra effort and 90M again?

    Moving tree?
Sorry, I don't get it. Moving tree = moving cooperative tree or something else?

I am kind of tired of the moving Island. When it first popped up I spent some gold on it. I was so up set about it. I'm not thrilled to hear it is coming back. I have to much to try to up grade on my farms. The island takes too much money.

I agree with Pingo4's post above somewhere. The island farm is too expensive, a money pit not at all suitable for the average player, and the horse farm is a total disappointment. The horse farm to me is equivalent to my 2 and 3 year old grandchildren looking at their stuffed horses and neighing. I would much rather watch them, at least the kids move.

Yet other changes to make us spend more gold.

    Really impressed... I mean, REALLY.

    GGS will never change...

IO, why do you think they would? And why would they?

That said, the game is playable, and enjoyable without gold. Its only our human impatience, envy and competitiveness, that GGS preys on. And I don't begrudge them their profits.

You are totally missing the point. Enjoyable without gold... not so sure. Doable, yes, 100% agree with you. It is the methods they use to "fool" ppl into buying and spending more gold that ticks me off. You are level 112, so you are a seasoned player. Haven't you noticed the change in GGS ways and the way they have taken? Every chance they get, BANG, gold scam. I will not argue with you and if you feel that they are acting in good, honest corporation manners, I will let you have that opinion for who am I to change or force my views on you. But if you look a bit closer to that changes that have occurred just in the past year, you'll find that GGS has become greedier and greedier by the weeks.

That is what I wanted to express. Nothing more, nothing less.

    Have a great evening,

    IO :)

Well, I'm not at all sure that "good" and "honest" matches up with Corporation manners. I'm just saying, I don't begrudge them their 'ways'.

I will play the island because it is an interesting part of the game. Finding the cheapest way to get as far as possible is a challenge to me so that is the reason I will participate in the event every time it comes around. Having said that the shells I gain from the event are more for decorations and rewards than anything else. The Horse Ranch is a total disappointment and I would love if the storm that wipes out the island after 30 days would also wipe the ranch as well because at this point i'd find staring at a pot plant all day more exciting than the barbie pony races and upgrades. :D
