Why not create a testing server??? I'd get another farm and run it on there. Then all those on that server would know their farm is open for whatever changes Goodgame throws at them. It would be fun!!

Then they wouldn't have to randomly choose smaller servers to run things like the "No Buy" system on.

How about it GGS? Create a new "test" server for experimental farming?

Great idea! I'd love to be part of something like that. And those who don't want to be part of it wouldn't have to. Seems like a win-win situation for all.

We cannot give away buying things. Some people on here need to buy stuff when they don't have the time to grow them. So, how dare they go to take it away?! I cannot believe they would do something like this. I am always low on gold so there is no way I'm going to allow them to do this. So all I have to say is.....

    DON'T GIVE AWAY BUYING THINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A testing server is a great idea. It would save a LOT of headaches and crankiness and still give GGS flexibility to "test" what they want to.

But I'm sorry, I still don't understand WHY there would be all of this pseudo-explanation that a feature is being changed - even as a test - because players are playing the game "wrong." It was very strongly IMPLIED, if not outright stated, that the test is a direct result of the way players may be playing, and that GGS found that strategy to be "wrong." (I'm not going back to find the direct quote so I'm paraphrasing, but that was the gist.)

So IF this "test" was because GGS is going to give us some fabulous new fantastic wonderful cool things, WHY NOT SAY SO? Because you didn't. You said we were cheating, basically, and you were testing out a way to stop us.

That's what it comes down to, and why people were/are so mad. :p

Cant you just make the cost of products go up that way if people want to buy that's their business and if it is a way for GGS to want to make more money then it will happen this way also ( it is a game as well as a business) but you shouldn't really put more profit before the needs of those actually funding your profit, otherwise it might have the reverse effect and instead of more you just may end up with none.

What is the purpose of removing the "buy" option? Is this yet another ploy put forward by GGS to force players to demolish their factory farms? If this is the case I have to question the intelligence of the developers based on the fact it was their "ranking systems" that caused players to factory farm in the first place.

Maybe time would be better spent revealing the information we have all been waiting for.....the horse ranch. Players are blindly running their greenhouses and collecting horseshoes with no clue of their purpose or the number that will be needed. For all we know it could be yet another shocker of an update and all this hard work is for nothing.

    Just my option,
I think these "duck farmers" just want to win missions. I quit playing mission as I can't compete with them. I thought when the new missions came out they were going to change them around. try adding some pigs, donkeys ..... I know the time limit must change with it. I think I would be more fair to everyone to change the missions every 30 days or so. It should cut down on the domination of the duck farmers. Why limit them to flowers, corn, eggs, and dung. We should try growing everything.
P.S. the old missions were better !!!!

Regarding Latten's statement: I don't buy for a single second that this was ever meant to be a temporary test. I think this is now their way of doing damage control after it leaked to the other servers and the response was so negative. If you read the Portuguese forum (let your browser translate it) you will notice that the mods/community managers never once mention that this will be temporary. It may have been called a test but only in the context of testing it on a smaller server before moving on to the bigger ones.

Oh, I totally understand you not believing it, it is true though. This will go for (roughly) two months, after that it will be removed, and we take the learnings for an upcoming feature, that affects buying/selling wares.

    TWO MONTHS?????

Are you serious? Do you hate the Italian and the Portuguese so much? What did they ever do to you???

This is what they are to you? Test subjects? They are people too, you know!!!

    This is unbelievable!!!

If we (meaning everyone, not just the servers being tested on) had been told that in the first place, it would probably have caused a lot less uproar. It would still have been unpopular & unfair on those being tested on, but a lot of the conspiracy theories would have been stopped before they started.

How about letting us in on some of that upcoming feature, then? It's not like we don't all scour the forums and talk while solving puzzles ( we ARE gamers with skills honed in solving puzzle, after all ). Fine, you's trying to put together a "store" or buy/sell point for the future sometime in the new year. Where's the harm in saying that?

Also.... another thing that we don't care for. Taking and adding features without any sort of nod to it. Example : bees used to be gotten all over the place. Now? It's a grow from the field only thing. See how we pick up on things? You guys are pushing these fields HARD. Cloak and Dagger type motions are what make people go bonkers here and then tear each other part guessing what's going on.

Jeeeez..... communicate a little. What's the worst that can happen, we get excited and buy gold in anticipation of being competitive for the new change? Heaven forbid *rolls eyes*

Perhaps all of you community managers should have meeting then because that was/is not what is being said in other forums.

welcome to here, PzSniper. I am flattered that you quote me, but we ALL have the same thoguht here. Positive growth and playership through communication and understanding. We may jump on each other a lot, but it's all in hope that it advanced a better gaming experience for us all.

If you can only send one message to everybody there and have to keep it short, I suggest this "we understand".

From en-board to international..... our very best.

Signed, your brothers and sisters in bigfarm.

This isn't a feature I use a whole lot so to be honest it makes no difference to me if they take it away. If a game was causing me this much stress I just wouldn't play it anymore, I play this game to de-stress not to add more. But that is just me and I certainly don't begrudge people for voicing their opinions on it.

please fellow big farm players!! lets stop blaming each other as to why GGs feels the need to constantly update BIG FARM!
i have heard because members take advantage ,,because members build all ducks,,because because because,,, Can we stop with it all ? GGs updates because they r a money oriented company thats why,,Maybe they want other co-ops to be in top ranks?
Why blame individual member strategy? Many of us bought apples for event?? or something else to help us finish? the Italian,Portugual, and Brazil servers are hit with no buy option right now,,for 3 months GGs is gonna practice on them,,then go worldwide with new "market" how unfair!!1000's of people all over the world play this game! Lets get together and support each other!! It is our $$ that supports GGS,,I am done buying gold until GGS is thru telling me how to build my farm!!!

OH, I totally understand you, Latten. Yeah, this is temporary. Yes, two months is temporary. No, two months is heart breaking. Do you know that a lot of us hasn't been here for two months? Heck, the game is only here for two years.

Yes, I totally understand you. You take the learnings for a brand new, cool feature. Sure, not many of us dislike that. What are we screaming and shouting about? We hate, despise how you make two whole servers guinea pigs. It's inhumane, or infarmne. Please, if you want to experiment, if you want to learn, please don't involve your customers. Or find a group of customers who want to be those guinea pigs.

PLEASE!! Don't give us false hope. We don't care as much as before about your new updates. We care more about the present situation of Big Farm. And, by our eyes, it's crumbling down. And we leave when the roof hits our head. So, no, not two months. Two days will do. And take your experimenting out of our farm lives, once and for all.

Was that how much you removed off to your co-op? I bet you might have gotten a shovel or 2 out of the deal. Unless you did nothing BUT that. But who puts gold into something they do nothing else with??
