Additionally, costs for buildings and expansions that need to be built in order to complete the first couple of tasks have been decreased slightly. Also, you may now grab some greenhouse seeds and additional island dollars if you complete these tasks.
I think the horseshoes will be a great asset, even though we don't know exactly how many we will need, so I will continue to pursue them until the stables come. I remember so many people saying the new mission system stunk, and for the first few weeks not many people played. I gained thousands of certificates while people didn't bother because they didn't know the reward, and was ahead of the game when the garage was introduced.
I think the island will be the same, collect the shells you can, because the horse ranch will need a ton of horseshoes. You don't have to complete the island every time, but don't ignore it completely.
I totally agree with you, this island is nothing but exactly what you stated. I would say the island is nothing but a bunch of horse pucky but can't do that because NO ONE has a horse YET!!! How about listening for once GGS... people know what will make the game more enjoyable and if they enjoy it then and only then will you see your gold sales go up. As of right now you have more than 50% of the people ready to call it quits because all you are worrying about is your pocket. Is that fair to the ones who basically sign your paycheck???
For cryin' out loud, at least throw us a bone once in a while!
ok ggs i think i get how the forum works now so i shall rephrase some of my old requests so that you can understand them.
harry potter fish food.(translation)give us rewards for co-op projects.
doggy pickles stop light=update the mine so that you get better rewards from it.
bucket fried chicken cable television=make it so players cant accidentally spend gold.
couch monkey mountain dew=thank you for listening and keep up the good work.
I know usually if it says "event" it always starts from the very beginning, but since it's like the fourth farm I was hoping it would continue where we left off... sincerely hoping considering the amount of gold I ended up spending.. *embarressed cough* silly me... getting caught up in sandcastles..
Happy farming
right now you have more than 50% of the people ready to call it quits ???
How do you know?? Please be cautious with throwing numbers all over the forums this way, when you can't be sure!!
Facts are that this forum knows over 4 million members of which only 62,296 are active members, which means players who do actually write in the forums. And judging from the >25 Million people who are playing this game all over the world, most players seem to like it, and agree with what the developers develop for us!
Happy farming!
you have to start from scratch everything you built was demolished
Thank you for letting me know!

I loved the surprise-effects and all the new challenges of the 4th temporary farm (this time: island). As I loved to have to figure things out, to think and rethink my choices and to carefully ponder each step. As from starting this game I loved to at least try to play it with as little as possible gold, because it simply means a greater challenge to me ...
Without all of the aforementioned it would only be a game of thoughtless clicks to me.
I know there are (many) players who demand GGS to make things easier/simpeler/cheaper for them; who want to have GGS deliver them every single solution/answer/game-strategy on a silver platter..... But not me. It's a game, and it is supposed to be a difficult game with a lot of obstacles and challenges in it.
There are enough threads about the island and a lot of information, tricks & tips were already to be found there. Experienced players warned us in the forums that it was an extremely difficult challenge and probably only meant for the highest levels among us...
You did not have to play the island, nobody forced you to, it is a choice and yours only.
To play the temporary (30 days) farm event (this time: the island) is a choice! I would not recommend players under level 100 and sitting on A LOT of millions, to play it. Just be patient, wait till you have those millions, wait till the temporary farm event comes back, and make your 3 permanent farms stronger in the meantime.
For what it is worth, and as far as I can see things now, my advice for the island would be:
- all levels under lvl 75: do not go to the island if you do not have enough money. Concentrate on yr 3 farms, making them stronger, making more money. Be very patient. The paddock won't walk away, nor will the Greenery or the ship
- levels between 75 - 100 and having enough money: you can give the island a try. I would say: build 1 more field and harvest a lot of oranges (or peanuts/grapes – this depends on how much you can be on-line and how much money you can afford). Catch bubbles. And maybe, if you can afford it: build a mango orchard, too. So you can at least gain your seashells (or whatever the next temporary currency will be). But never ever jeopardize yr 3 permanent farms, as these are the backbone of the game!
- levels above 100 and sitting on A LOT of millions: you can afford to explore the island. Be wise and careful in every step you take, because it is tricky. See how far you can get with your millions, without jeopardizing yr 3 permanent farms. One can always stop at a certain point and simply fill the rest of the 30 days with only producing oranges, maybe some orange fizz, mango’s or whatever you feel you can afford to do.
Just my 2 cents.
Happy farming!
And a changing of tasks so we can forget about previously collected info. But the rewards for rankings are meant to make as eagerly plow ahead and do it from scratch again.
Meh.
Pffft.
Seems awfully soon imho. Even at level 122 and with plenty of farm cash coming in every day I have yet to get anywhere close to the 65mio I had when I embarked upon the first island adventure.
I did love the island, finished all three levels without spending one coin of gold and the new decos brought a fresh wind to my other farms... they were getting just a little stale. I'm happy to hear that there will be even more high-level decos and how quickly you are addressing some of the (minor) issues. But give us a little time to recuperate, will ya
All of your suggestions for the island are good Jiesta. I have a feeling that we will have the Spooky event first and then the Island will come after that. Just my opinion.
I do have a lot of fun playing the game and can't wait to see what is next.
Cheers.
I also understand the concerns of players who spend little or no gold. Those players should be appreciated because they actually play the game and have to suffer all the difficulties not having gold puts upon them and yet they don't give up. Those players in turn should appreciate those that spend gold because after all this is a business and without gold being bought and spent there would be no game for any of us to enjoy.
Should the game be a little more rewarding to players who don't buy and spend gold? I would like to think yes but then again I don't know the real numbers. I did think the one box, one rose seed so on and so forth for completing the 2 year was a little underwhelming as a thank you for player loyalty. Maybe at some point they can configure things like the island to work like the challenges use to: if you're a certain level player the costs are this as compared to players on another level. With the understanding of course the higher the level the greater the rewards but in the end all players can earn a goodly amount of horseshoes with a reasonably fair amount of investment.
But in the end the game is what it has always been, a game of choices. Each player has a right to determine their future and how they get there. For those who want to spend massive amounts of gold to take greater advantage of what the game has to offer then I say good for you. (However, if you should spend $200k in gold on the wheel and not win a chicken coop I am going to laugh when you tell me the story and probably say something along the lines of dumb---.) For those of you who don't spend gold or don't want to do things like the island I say good for you, spend your money how you best see fit, good luck and if you need some advice just ask.
Thanks Jiesta - it's nice to read a positive post. Good grief it was getting pretty clamorous in here! I liked the island, I was sad to see it go but at the same time I've also built up all my other farms and it's nice to start a new one every once in a while.
I overspent on gold last time so lesson learned. It'll be fun to see the enhancements on this next go-around and I'll have to take it much slower because I'm a bit low on funds. So what - it's just a game!!
Here's GGS's translation of your feedback dragonpride
give us rewards for coop projects = introduce more popups at log in
update the mine = more prime day offers
make it so players cant accidentally spend gold = a new ranking system for naughty/nice event users
thank you for listening and keep up the good work
No, the island will not be permanent. And no, it will not be where you left it. Everything is gone, and must be built again.
I have a GGS translation as well.
"We've listened to your feedback and responded to it"="We've disregarded what most of you said and replaced it with our own reality where people are clamoring for a ranking system and want to spend even more gold and money on something that goes away in thirty days."
To be honest, not even a bit anxious to see the Island this time. I think depending on what it brings, and if it is something that we will need for the future, my time here will likely be ending soon. I have already backed off buying any more gold, because I am not sure what is coming.
