Just a few questions for ggs. We dont have to do the island but we need the decorations for our farms and at the end of the task for our deco collection. We can only get the higher happiness deco's with gold but lower happiness deco's make our running costs go through the roof. The lady with the car offers dollars for gold when its gold we need more than dollars as our farms make plenty. And we need to buy island land with gold as it would take us a year to save the money for buying it. Baffled beyond belief! (which does'nt take much)

All i can say is that there is no need to buy gold decorations. Just complete the events there are (currently we have the Tessa Camping event) and get a good decoration. This game is still a game that can be played without buying gold.

I haven't spent a single gold dollar on the island and I am doing just fine. I also do not spend gold on decos yet have very high happiness and make lots and lots of money off all my farms. It's all about gaining in levels and using strategy.

I'm not buying gold. Just saving all gold game gives. Have 2 water towers now. And just bought gold mining licence from Omar. Now i'm waiting to have 4000 gold again....

All games are going to have things like this. I know a few people that haven't had to buy a single coin, yet their farm is a functioning high level.

It's all about balance and knowledge. I suggest joining an established co-op if you haven't yet, the information the experienced players will give you can help you a lot.

I hear what you all are saying but to buy land we need gold, we need workers so have to build houses which i have done. I have an idle of oasis, 6 palm trees, 6 houses (upgraded) and 1 large palm tree. Theres no room for a lemur pen and i'm only just in the grEen guage of happiness. Ive upgraded my bank 3x and have to collect a million before i can set everything away. I'd love to see these farms that are managing very well, while i'm doing my best and still struggling. Ive bought most of my land except for 4 pieces and all bought with gold. I can't see how anyone can do very well without using gold!

The very first thing I did with the island was upgrade the bank to level 6 so I could transfer large amounts and get things done quickly. That seemed to help quite a bit. Next time though I'd probably stop at level 4 right off the bat as I found it to be draining my regular funds too much for my liking with transfers Q2h. My production costs are at -67% but I am only just starting chapter 2 (I missed lots of playable days due to work commitments). And I did not use a single gold dollar.

Hi Prima D, I am a lower level than you but on the same server. A piece of advice I gleaned from somewhere on here which has helped me enormously is that you can destroy things you no longer need, to share out the workers. I have used no gold and am now approaching the end of chapter 2. I have only 6 houses at level four. I have got 5 fields and two lemur pens, but am slowly removing my peacocks as I don't need them. There is also a spreadsheet somewhere of the tasks and side tasks (which I am largely ignoring) which has helped me decide which of my buildings to keep. Sorry, I don't know how to put the link in, I am sure someone can help with that if you haven't seen it. Feel free to come and look at my farm if you would like - I have looked at yours and am impressed that you have so much land! I hope I helped, good luck

Hiya sweetheart, ive only just got your reply thread now. I thank you dearly, thats a brilliant idea! I'll check it out now on what buildings to destroy. I need my peacock coops at the moment as i'm using the fertiliser for my coconut orchards as its a massive seashell reward but i'm sure i can destroy other things. God love you for being so nice and i'll look at your farm now. Thanks for the compliment on mine but its only coz i spent lots of gold. I really wish i had'nt now but hey ho. i have noticed things that they have done such as getting rid of vouchers for one thing, also thee amount they want us to spend for the island farm alone is outrageuos, which is why i stopped playing it except for an occasional crop. not upgrades, no tasks, not finishing the events on it, i spent close to 50 mil before i realized what was happening, but if you want to be truthfull the whole big farm game is temporary because they could stop it at any time and anything that you put into it was a waste

A tip that helped me was to upgrade the island farmhouse as fast as possible--you get more workers without affecting happiness, and it speeds up the building time on the other buildings. Also, if you can, buy at least one house with gold--you get a lot more workers without taking up as much space.

Erm, you gain 4000, so you actually profit 2000, which is a lot... Unless you bought the mining licence somewhere (Omar for example, which costs 1500, 2000 to pay the mine, 4000 turnover, 500 profit)

It is because of those people that "choose" to spend money on this game, that 1000s of others get to play it for free.
No one is forced to play or forced to pay & no one said GG was a charity, you think it is cheap to create & run a game this size? :huh:

I too am not buying gold and saving all my game gold until I get 2,000 gold. I only wish I had known about the valuable water tower at the beginning of the game and saved ALL my gold. When I get 2,000 gold, I will use my 1 free "Gold" Gold Mining license to change my 2,000 gold into 4,000 gold in the mine and buy some water towers and then save my gold again. You need a "Gold" Gold Mining license to process gold in the mine and the only way that you get them, after you use your free one, is to buy gold when they give them along with the gold that you buy. So, just maybe they will get me to do that someday. I'd rather earn the game rewards, no fun for me in paying to win.

$2000 in the mine becomes $4,000 when it is done. 2,000 gold becomes 4,000 gold in the mine. I don't know how much the "Gold" Gold Mining Licenses cost.

I was lucky yesterday. I had saved 3580 gold, and Omar had an offer to buy gold mining licence with 1500 gold. Now i'm waiting to have a 4000 gold from mine. So i'll win 500 gold

And after that saving again and waiting Omar....

You can by a gold mining licence from Omar for 1500 gold and use it to make 2000 gold. So, its 500 gold earnings.
Very usefull for non gold buyers.

You can get gold mining licenses on the WoF too, I was lucky enough to get 6 from there, but then of course the question is how to get the tokens lol 8|
