where to spend gold advice please

Hi I have enough gold to upgrade one building but not sure which would be most beneficial (if any) I can upgrade either my barn or house to level 3, my field to level 4, or my dog to level 5, any ideas or am I best saving it for a while until I have enough to go for the water tower level 2 or the nursery level 3.
Such a big decision considering none of its real rofl any advice appreciated thank you :D

My suggestion, save your gold until you have 1500, then wait for the bazaar to come around. Your doghouse makes prices come down on everything there and the gold mining license is only 1500, even though it gives you 2000 gold! So you'll actually make 500 gold by buying it! You'll just need to get 2000 saved up so you can run the mine.

If you already have a gold mine and a license, I suggest saving up the 2000, running it and then buying another license at the bazaar.

Also, if you saved enough gold like that (I would always keep 3500 at hand so you can buy at least one more license from Omar if it hops by and run the mine instantly, winning 500 gold), I would definitely first upgrade the doghouse before anything else. The dog house gives you extra happiness, extra good presents and helps collect event collectibles like the evidence photos, ufo parts and footprints in the event currently running.

As well as making Omar's sales even better. He gives free money depending on the doghouse's level.

I think the water tower upgrade is the best buy once you get that gold built up. :)

Heya AliRox - out of all the buildings you mentioned WATER TOWER is numero uno !!! why?
On any farm, the biggest issue is always feeding the animals or Orchards, and humus on fields - to help that you have the water tower & Workshop. I would say on Main farm, and Gourmet the best investment is Water Tower, on Flower farm you could benefit from both Water Tower and Workshop.
Nursery - not worth upgrading pass lvl2, water will come soon enough to make the seeds, water is free & usually before you finish producing one batch of seeds , you gain enough water drops saved up to start another batch.
Dog House !!! yes for the doggie - he gives your farm permanent happiness, you get XP points daily just for training the pooch, the gold upgrades, also get him to fetch gifts for you (hey $50,000 or 500 cherries, or 500 apples awesome gifts at least twice a day).

I would say WATER TOWER or DOGGIE :)

The gold priority for me are:
    1. run the gold mining license from the upgrade mine to Level 2 - need 2000 gold
    2. Main farm water tower
    3. gourmet farm water tower
    4. Doghouse gold upgrade to L6 and L7.

Why upgrade the mine? It just makes it go faster, right? I really don't see the point unless you want to make more money or have a lot of gold mining licenses coming in.

I wouldn't upgrade the mine. Some want their gold faster. I really do not like the mine all that much. its ok for when the bazaar comes around and offers me a gold mining liscense, otherwise I don't touch the mine. my personal favorites are The water tower, the workshop, Gold barn (though not a necessary, just a favorite) and I love boosters.

I plan to upgrade all my barns and houses to blue-roofs. Eventually. First though, I want to save up enough gold that I can clean out the Bazaar of all the gold mining licenses it's got. That requires getting my first 2k, which I'm only at 1600 in my US account. Levels are few and far between at level 77, so I'm mostly waiting on my login bonuses. :(

WWW account is skyrocketing through the levels though, so I've already started the gold mine and will be harvesting tomorrow night. :D

I don't think Woodstock was suggesting upgrading the mine beyond level 2. The post said " run the gold mining license from the upgrade mine to Level 2" which I took to refer to the task to upgrade the mine that you get at whatever level it is.

I like all the things mentioned above. The water towers don't have to be upgraded very far to make a significant difference. Mine are all at level 2 and probably will remain there. The farm boosters are very nice, particularly for someone like myself that isn't in a co-op and isn't getting the extra money from the researches. For someone with a limited amount of gold, I think the water towers and level 1 boosters give good value for money.

And like Wildcard, I'd like to eventually replace at least half of my red houses with blue ones.

But I have say, one of my very favourite gold purchases is the blue barns. The increase in storage capacity is enormous, compared to the red ones.

I'll bet it is. It's unfortunate I can't use the increase in storage capacity to help with missions anymore, but I can at least have an easier time feeding my windmill, which sits every so often because when I have the time to tend my fields and produce a ton of product to run through it, my windmill can't keep up and I have to sell excess. But the second I have to go somewhere or spend a day doing stuff away from the computer, I end up running out of stock. It's really frustrating. Having an insane storage capacity will really help even that out.

Can anyone tell me how to spend the gold as a co-op?

If you mean donated gold, that's for later. The upper levels of researches sometimes require gold to start, so you'll need it after you've done some researches.

If you want the advice on which research to spend it, I advice recruitment.
