They don't keep their running costs down - the profit they make off of selling all the milk/eggs/apples etc. counteract their expenses. The buildings must be at maximum levels and normally their flower and gourmet farms have high happiness so they are bringing in decent profit too.

Thanks Georgenollie. :D Oh so you can have the other 2 farms with higher happiness and that counteracts the main farm being turned into a factory/high production farm? Does that help with the high running costs of your main farm? Sounds like its slapping your face to see if you're awake type of situation. 8o Truthfully all this drama with update glitches has just got me drained. Its not really too much fun anymore, reminds me of the job that stressed me out, helping me gear up the disability, lol. time to go on holiday.....

Do you have 2 5 x 5 decorations that you can store for 15 or 20 minutes so you can build one level 1 house and 1 chicken coop and then destroy both of them to get your XP? I can't see your farm since you are on different server.

George...does this glitch clear up or not exist if I had a major upgrade going on my BAKERY FARM when it all happened? I just went back to my main farm and clicked on my mill to finish feed production and stars came out along with the feed and cash register and basket:?: I recorded my XP level and how many XP I need to attain the next level rank. I checked again, after clicking my bakery. It added 13XP points to my level & decreased by 13 the points needed to get to my next level. I am thorougly confused. ?( Do I need to build a house/coop to clear the GGS glitch up?

Do you still have the tasks to be completed in the main farm? That need workers to be assigned?

Do you still have the tasks to be completed in the main farm? That need workers to be assigned?

Yes upgrade composter to level 3. But the workers have already been assigned and checked off. I just have to upgrade it. I just didnt want to spend the $750K yet to do it since I dont have the 'extra moola' to do it at this time. Is that what is holding me up?

ummm after I built the chicken coop assigned the workers and built a simple house. No new tasks. Did I read the thread wrong? Wasnt there supposed to be 3 more tasks with this update? I didnt get a collect cabbage, 100 chicken feed (could be cos I already had task for collect 400 chick feed), and 120,000 spending, tasks to do. Again, very easily I am confused. ?( Help!

You should see my "to do lists" for all three farms . . . big picture scary - to get my farms to the highest level and where I want them still (and I am level 82 currently) I still need - $65,400,000 for main farm, $210,370,000 + (there are two upgrades I haven't been able to confirm their amounts on yet) for the gourmet farm, and $121,480,000 for the flower farm. However, the satisfaction of erasing an item at a time from my list as I finish it is the satisfaction I need. I don't expect to do all these updates overnight - each one will be done when I have the money. This game for me is about the journey not about the end game. :) Happy Farming.

The tasks mentioned are the "keep busy" tasks when higher levels have done all the other tasks on the main farm. They cycle through 7 or 10 different tasks. They come up over and over and over for very little XP. It gets kind of boring but it is still XP. If you haven't finished all your main farm tasks, you will get them soon enough. :)

Store one of your 5 x 5 decorations and build a chicken coop - assign workers - demolish coop - replace decoration
This completes the assign worker portion of the tasks and takes about 12 minutes.

lmao i love that i tore down all my level 6 regular fields recently. Built gold fields. was planning on keeping my gold fields on level 1. I only have 1 gold field on level 5. Was never planning on going any higher than that. They are priced so ridiculously in my opinion. Now i have these tasks. So what to do. Guess with no space on my very full farm, i will take decorations down go in the red because of the update of our happiness, lmao (and laugh while doing this), upgrade a regular field to level 6 and tear it down. Or leave the task there forever. Either way I do not want to spend over 13k in gold to upgrade my gold field to level 6. If i would have known this stinker was coming my way I would haven't have made this move.

    I only had 1 spare worker & a 12 hour upgrade L5 coop to L6.
I put 2 5x5 decos into storage, then built a chicken coop 7:30 min to build & simple house 7:30 min. build time.
After finishing the side tasks demolished them both & put he decos back, it took 1/2 hour

So I logged in today and got all of the tasks noted below on my main farm. many of the items have already been done and are checked; however it says to assign workers, but why and how do you do that if task is already checked complete??

    New: Main Farm Tasks

We added more tasks to the main farm, one more quest for every building! Don't worry - if you already did upgrade those buildings, the quests will still pop up and you will be able to collect the reward immediately!

omgoodness.....Edith I'm having a heart attack! Yes I have a sticky note To Do list. ha! I am having trouble w/laptop at moment only tmp profile. So it does no good 2 try 2 do something in a document bcse if the thing hangs up(& it does often 3-10 times @ week) & needs 2 b restarted I will lose anything I have done/saved, moot point. I'm only @ lvl 41 & struggling 2 keep it at $7million 400k+ mark! Ohhh I realize that this isnt going 2 b done overnight or in a week 4 me. I c u have been playing 4 almost a yr. Do u know how many lvls there r 2 rank out? Or will they keep expanding them? Im over the moon bcse Im finally @ the lvl where I can plant lavender. Its so pretty. I know strange..... Again u r correct George its all about the journey, thankyou 4 reminding me. Stop & smell the lavender, now I can....virtually that is. Oh, ok now I understand I thot these were newer tasks that had been activated w/this newest update. Thanks 4 clarifying that. Oh, I am working on the old mean mans(is it Lester?) 400 chicken feed, I have more than enough to do. Thx 4 the help

WOW!!!! I'm not very smart but it took me all of about 3 seconds to figure out how to finish the "assign workers" part of the new tasks. I am starting to think that there are a lot of people playing this game who just like to complain. This is no different then lets say just for an example you are upgrading a cow shed and when it is done you assign the workers. There was no task you just wanted to upgrade. But you do have a task that says you need to upgrade your mill. Once you assign workers to the cow shed the assign workers part of the mill upgrade shows completed. Come on people, think a little bit!! If you have a farm with no deco's or anything to put in storage then that is your choice and YOUR PROBLEM, quit blaming GGS for the way you play. GROW UP, you sure wouldn't make it on a real farm : )

Building a house does not assign workers; all it does is increase your free workers so you have some to assign. Assigning workers is when you have a new or newly-upgraded production or processing building with that yellow flag with people on it, and you click that to add workers so you can start using it.

If you don't have a building you expect to upgrade between now and when GGS removes the "assign workers" part of the new tasks, then store a 5x5 decoration, build a new chicken coop (faster than an orchard, smaller and fewer workers needed than a field) to assign workers to, and then demolish it as soon as you're done. You only need to build a house first if you don't have 5 free workers.

It is a good thing I love this game, or I would have been really upset about this.

the problem keith is having. this update could have worse timing.we are just coming off going broke building the bakery farm.and now he must first spend the time and money to clear these upgrade task.before he can go back to having his normal set of farming task.755 xp's is a joke.when in that 138.25 hrs that it will take to clear these new tasks.i can tell you he would make a heck of a lot more xp's doing our collecting, producing, spending, etc.in that same amount of time.so until he can complete these tasks on main farm, that farm is stalled on xp's,and he'll make what possible on other two farms.for myself i earn more xp's from main farm in a day then i do off the other to together.

From small task, you can have about 1000 xp in a week just for beeing busy in your farm (about 20 from one). Well sorry if that's not enought for you.

so all these new tasks are fine with me more xp is great, but all my buildings on the main farm are completely level up already and i cant "assign free workers" like it wants to finish the task cause I already assigned the workers long ago when i upgraded the building.

So how am I suppose to complete these tasks?

If you see what writing others then you will see, or just build one more chicken farm, little house, and with assigning to one building you complete every tasks.

Hmm, I did the "build a house and a coop" thing but then it bugged out when it was demolishing, like the demo timer got to 00:00 and was stuck, and I couldn't do anything or harvest crops or whatnot unless I went to another farm and came back. :/

White screen is usually a flash problem. Close the game page, make sure flash is up to date, clear your flash cache as well as browser cache, completely close and restart the browser if you had to update flash, and then reload the page.

They haven't gotten rid of the three tasks - I still have them - you just have to finish the new tasks they gave you yesterday.
