Will gourmet farm be renamed? It isn't really appropriate any more. What about "Elite Farm"? Goats, donkeys, and ducks are rarer on farms than chickens, pigs, and cows.

I call it my Dung Farm. I only use it to process dung into fertilizer....

there was no level six or 7 before, that is new so if you are at level 6 you are better than you were before.

if you worked on getting the bakery, mill, gardens, and almond orchards up and going a week is plenty, but to get ahead with silo, composter, ducks and donkeys will take more time.

I'm enjoying playing the game and p;laning what to upgrade next.

i did notice that you get the architect on the gourmet farm and flower farm now as you can upgrade to the level on both farms i don't know how you would do one thing on each farm though when he arrives unless you use gold.

You are right - architect only available on the houses probably because those graphics are already available. The other buildings are going to have to require an actual update with different graphics which I am assuming is probably in the plans for the future.

the way i thought about it was if we are able to upgrade our houses on the flower farm we will probably be able to have less houses giving more room for decorations

when is farm 3 to dissapear and will we get the same "rewards' to rebuild, pls a fast answer so I can turn away from the game before it makes me sick, and as I'm already older, it might harm my health, having built a nice farm, to get to level 6 on my farm 2 took me already over 250.000.000 dollar and 75000 gold, thanks for this poisoned new farm 2

Thanks to the ongoing 2014 project (the background with the boat/plane/greenhouse/corral) any other major revamps are not being planned this year per Nafaru. Cannot locate the exact post at the moment but that was her reply when someone asked about it earlier.

I've tried with and without the bakery, with and without the ducks - I'd read all the threads and crunched numbers and just wanted to see what it would feel and be like in actual game-play - and I remain so broke that I can't update a thing either way, both by focussing every dollar on the GF or running it on the side. No upgrades on any of the farms, because I can't even afford the land anymore. Like the quote said, I started spending most time here, then decided to stop that and "play", but came back because it's more boring than the forum even at its most aggravating.

    Meh.

*kicks the stupid donkey that's obviously just stuffed anyway and tears down the lovingly painted sign of "Donkey Sanctuary"*

It's god to know somebody else has this problem. I thought I'm stupid or something. I spend all the money we got back from old farm and now not making a dime. I need about 10 millions just to get those people off the left side of the screan and don't get even me started on the other upgrades I need.
So maybe we got this wrong. I mean this farm is clearly not made for making money or they wouldn't turn all the XPs on it. Maybe this is the forth farm and the second is just cancelled. Right now it just makes more sense to invest the money I make on main and flower into those farms and play with cute animals on gurmet when I have nothing else to do.
    Is that the idea here?
Cause I don't know how else I'm supose to make all that money needed for ugrades.

Sorry, I speak english better than I write

    Hello,

I had the gourmet farm with everything and at top levels, now I've only 17 hours left of the discounted time frame. And I've just managed to get the only bakery to level 6 keeping up almost all hours to manage to get the max built.

Yes, the time given is not enough to get all the buildings and to the levels that we had before the changes were made.
CGS should have given time based on the level the players are and the buildings were, instead of just giving 1 week to everyone. Now those who were on low levels have managed to catch up to their state before the changes, but some of us will have to spend weeks only to get back to that previous status with all the buildings at the max levels.

    :(

Yes, Elena I feel the same way and posted the same thing a few pages ago. I had an amazing gourmet farm and when I saw that the bakery provided no profit, I decided that I would add some buildings on the GF, but also upgrade my cowsheds and other things on the MF and FF too. Then we get this announcement that they are now going to fix the numbers, and that yes, we will make money off the bakery's goods.

So with all this being reconciled, I do think that GGS should give us extra time to build at a 50% reduced building time with Wednesday's update, as in, another week added on. For the mistakes of originally giving us a huge mess of a GF, we deserve this.

As a paying customer, I purchased gold to build my farms as I wished, whether it was to speed up construction or to buy expansions, etc. I didn't expect GGS to be able to just take away the features of the game without any penalty. To be honest, I love this game, but this is really a huge annoyance and I can't believe GGS is legally allowed to just take features of a game away, particularly when players actually spend money towards it.

No I am not referring to the people who play for free, so any naysayers, don't reference that point please.

Thanks, and I hope someone at GGS will implement a longer 50% reduced building time to make up for their mistake of giving us that bakery.

I am not so convinced about this dung/gourmet farm yet either but I am trying to make the best of it, hard though. I agree with you Tonia2 (not about being stupid though), that all of the money I got back was not enough or what I spent to build/upgrade what I had on the real gourmet farm. Not to mention that it was not enough time to get what I had back due to the amount of time needed to build/rebuild. Then the land had more that doubled with this downgrade, which is really unfair. If we had to have this new dung/gourmet farm remodeled/downgraded and we loose the revenue/income from real gourmet farm why should we also have to pay so much more for land? Especially on a farm that isn't a profit/making profits, has only 4 recipes & 6 ingredients, no prices listed for recipes (which are supposed to be fixed next week, maybe), and a farm that looks identical to the main farm. The recipes from the real original gourmet farm had 10 recipes at maxed level a variety of recipes I might add. This bakery/pastry shop should have more recipes & make a profit on the recipes along with recipes that have dairy/butter/wheat/ in them as well. I guess these are sour pastry cause that's what I think of when I look at these so called recipes. I know apples & peaches are naturally sweet, but that is not enough sugar in these sour pastries.

We should have been given more time than 7 days to build/rebuild farms that took months of work/farm cash & time. Also for small level coop like myself it is hard/will be hard to do some of the researches to make any profits at all. Due to the constant turnover of finding good coop members who want to pay the game let alone be in a coop. So coop leaders are constantly looking/recruiting form new members. reading the forums & trying to stay updated on the news from the forums, work their farms, run a coop, and hope ti make some money so that they can help/pick up the slack for the members who don't assist as much.

I do hope there are some real adjustments to the bakery/pastry shop so that we an make some profit whether we are in a coop big or small or choose not to be in a coop.

What about the money we would get from all the buildings and upgrades? I only got 6 million, while upgrades where like 1.5 million each time/each building..

This is a link with all the information on it for each building in the old Gourmet farm - and when I figured it out the money they gave back to me was pretty accurate http://big-farm-addiction.wikia.com/wiki/The_original_Gourmet_farm#

Do a little research on Goodgame with google and you will soon see why they couldn't do what you suggest.

This company does not get experienced computer/game programmers to do their work so they can save a few $$$, they don't look after employees (unless you count free breakfast cereal and a swimming pool), they blame all the mistakes and lack of thought on the low end employees and they have little to no accountability to their customers. Don't take my word for it, google them.

Such a shame to develop a great game then ruin it by having people with little or no experience making unsupervised changes.

That is cool - I knew that GF milk and eggs would count toward projects, missions, and events - but just realized they also count for main farm XP tasks too.

can't harvest my bakery. Click it, the bar moves like it's harvesting, then nothing. The muffin icon is still there, the gourmet farm is still green meaning something is ready to harvest. And I can't get it starting anything else.

This is the only farm it's doing it on. I have one on the us server and one on the uk server and those are fine.

Think this will be fixed with next Wed. upgrade?

Hopefully yes - but right now to fix it you need to sell off some of the muffins. If that does not fix it, then sell some of your other baked goods - it is registering that the inventory is full.

FlowerChild - do you have enough storage space available for the muffins?

If not, try selling off some of them. I believe this is also a known bug, in that it does not bring up the inventory to prompt you to sell some.

You are forming an opinion of a company based on 9 reviews from mostly former employee's that have the safety of being anonymous. GGS employees well over 500 employees, so you are taking the word of less than 1%.

Learn to read and form your own opinions.

I insulted nobody, unless claiming that the staff are not properly trained or qualified is an insult? How about how the players have been treated with contempt by goodgame?

If you are referring the peanut bit that is a common saying here in Australia meaning YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR it is NOT calling anyone a monkey.

Goodgame pays low wages so they get staff who inexperienced and are forced to learn on the job. How else could all the simple basic errors and miscalculations be explained?

I am only speaking for myself here with opinions that I have formed myself from researching goodgame and why the game is loosing its player base and appeal, and I have done this because I did like the game not to long ago.

SirGeorge, dig a little deeper. There is more info out there than you are referring to, I found what your talking about in 30 seconds but please do look further, more in-depth (try things like financial status and credit rating ect; you will get the idea if your smart enough). I don't make statements like that without more than 1 source of information.

For me it is over, the developers refuse to listen to the very people who pay their wages. That can only be bad for everyone concerned. Even financial pages don't rate goodgames as high as they once did.

It's time for this little black duck to jump this ship.

Good luck everyone, I truly hope that your concerns are not only heard but listened to.

I'm not exactly sure how it came up in the first place, but please leave the 'detective work' on whatever situation is thrown around by people who may or may not have worked at GGS to another thread ;) You will stumble over these things for pretty much every company in the world, and it's doing absolutely nothing but derailing this discussion.

    Thanks a bunch,

Monkeys don't eat peanuts, find out at your local zoo, many small animals do as well as birds and elephants, last but not least humans, so yes if GGS are paying peanuts then they are probably employing one or more of the above (which is their choice) but definitely not any monkeys.

If someone from GGS came on the forum and said the same thing about players who never paid for gold would you still agree with that same "paying peanuts getting monkeys statement"

With that line of thought, I wonder what someone from GGS has to say about those who played heavily with gold and were given the last two recent downgrades (happiness/running cost & gourmet).

They have slowed us all down with what you call downgrades SpeedyDog, including every gold buyer, which is what a lot of non gold buyers have been shouting for. Now I visit the ones who said they would never buy gold again and guess what? They have all got full Gourmet farms all with fully upgraded buildings and decs, I wouldn't waste any gold on stuff that can be done while I sleep/work.
