Actually, -79% running cost is already a very good range to be in.

I know, isn't it! I was fine until those two updates, and as listed above, just with half the required buildings I no longer can even update. I know all the tricks and what brings money but I will have to tear down something to stop the boring stagnation.

With the upgrades that we have had, including this one, it seems that things were/are getting more expensive (facilities upgrades, land expansions) and $ are not that easy to earn anymore. Keep in mind that with the happiness readjusted formula all of our 3 farms' profitability took a hit. Now with the new GF, you have to rebuild things again, so your profit from this farm is currently zero. Those could be factors that contributed to your low $.

I still used the tool - you can use shapes from the other farms. The Water Mill for instance is the same size as Main Farm Field. The only awkward one was using 3 of 7*3 decs for the Garden

Kat Nip has said in its own thread that oAISAo is working on the update, so we should have it fully functional soon :)

Trial and error as before. Many of them are either six or seven squares in one direction (then the silo messes that up).You can line up the gardens with the donkeys (7); and goats with the mill and composter (6) - those last three then combine with 4 square decorations into 10-square pieces of land. The sevens are always more annoying *shrug*

    @Speedydog:
What I meant is the combination of modifications made by GGS, plus building upgrades and research. All together it will most likely give the same profit. Maybe a bit less because (as far as my interprtations go) the whole revamp was also a way to balance out the game a bit more. To make it more challenging for higher level players. But it would still be a profit.

Yeah, I would lose out - but it's so many workers, and per upgrade I only need 1-2, and I simply can't make the money to upgrade!

I think that now the happiness doesn't matter, the only real deterrent to tearing down those freeloaders villas is the high HOUSE upgrade cost?

ETA: one torn down lv 3 house would be give me minus 25 workers and plus 91 happiness - just not sure if that makes a change to my current minus 79 percent cost.

Hey snork, if you tear down your lvl 3 house, that will bring you at -84% (maybe -83% depending on your current happiness).

It's your choice if you want to destroy it, but you will have to spend about 60k$ to build it back up latter on...

I'm in nmbr 1 Coop and all research are done and i make a littel over 100.000$ on fruitcake whit cream in level 6 bakery I've got workshop/watertower level 5 so I get a littel for my Fruit cake but stil loosing on the other products. So I cant see any future for low levels players whit this bakery and even whorse for those who are not in a coop
I'm not producing anything in My bakery at the moment since they migth sell anything on stock when they'r comming whit their new numbers and recipy (migth be a loong wait if it takes same ammount of time as it took them to get to where we are now after their big fanfare for this update)

So sorry for all those not having My coops " BIG " bennefits

ps. looks like I'm gooing to have another mass productionfarm whit mostly goats, ducks and almonds

Yes, we're all on the same page here - patience is needed.

But it DOES prove that the money we got in "compensation" for all the lost buildins was nowhere near the expected or the equivalent amount, otherwise I would not have so many lay-abouts strolling around now :) Half the farm empty, 58 workers idle, yet only half the required buildings, all of them only lv 1 or two.

    To all players:
Take the time, it's only 50 hours since the update. Remember how long it took you to build up your main farm? I know the old buildings had a high level and made a lot of money, so will the new buildings, it just takes a few week to be at the same level it was last sunday.
Patience is the keyword in this whole rebuilding proces.

    Well said.

For me, this game has always been about the journey, not the destination. Once the rebuilding is complete, it will become endless repetitive production, just as it was before. This time of rebuilding is exciting for me, as I eagerly anticipate the appearance of some new things I have not yet built, and have never had before. :)
Problems (the bakery) will be solved, and in a few weeks it will be as profitable as it was before.

I'm not so sure about that. Frankly, I don't expect the new bakery to be nearly as profitable as the old restaurant was - but perhaps the additional animal stables and orchards might make up for some of that.

There seems to be an expectation that the new bakery is supposed to replace the restaurant, but that isn't necessarily so. The restaurant was clearly the centerpiece and focal point of the old gourmet farm; the new bakery is really just another processing building. It is difficult, I suppose, for players to let go of those preconceptions that were based on the design of the former gourmet farm, and adapt to this completely different model.

I demolished my bakery. Trying to keep some animals to make dung, 4 gardens for animal food and only 1 almond orchad. Almond are enough to Flower farm and i can still sell some. My happiness is -79% (not bad) in gourmet farm. Other farms about a same happiness. And i do not have enough money to all upgrades that mainfarm still needs.
Very hard to earn money and i am level 52. My co'op has done almost all recurches only some left on flower farm.
Maybe, just maybe i some day build bakery again. After i have all other farms to make good money
No bakery for me for looong time

I do not like the update to the new gourmet farm. I am looseing money in the bakery... if I sell the products alone that it takes to make the products in the bakery I make more money... please fix this problem.

OH man the whining in here is deafening! And you folks with the spread sheets give me a head ache.
This is a game people. Just enjoy the new toys. They had to toss out old toys to make room for new toys.
And slow down growth a bit. Think about that. How much fun is this game if you make it to the end? Everything upgraded to the max, and just raking in cash. No room for new decor because your farms are stuffed.
That had to go. I get that. Yea I miss the ice cream. And the old restaurant was a lot more attractive.
But... this is what it is. If you really hate it, leave. Go find another game to play. Stop the whining.
Post problems. The losing money thing is something they can fix. They wont' even look if all we do is gripe.

Separate post because I really came here with a question.

My coop wants to know if when doing projects, I'm pretty sure poop is poop and would count regardless of where it's made. Same for eggs????? Would duck eggs count towards one of the projects?

Yes, according to the official announcement, that's a correct assumption.

For those like myself who are struggling to make any profit and are therefore slowly running out of fund or already have. the only temporary solution is to not spend on production of none profit goods, simply concentrate on where you can make even a small profit and fingers crossed the bakery corrections we are expecting will alleviate the problem, ultimately I think you'll have to rethink your strategies but until we get the re-crunched numbers....don't start demolishing what you may find you will need!

Latten, are we getting a new restaurant? it seems strange not to be able to make recipes from goods on farms.
    Bakery doesn't cut it.

You are so arogant saying no one should "whine" and just be happy aint the first time people are trying to stop the arogant answers from You!! We are all entitled to "whine" if what We paid for aint rigth and don't give us what we expected it just a game You say but a game lots of people paid lots of real money for to stay alive and devellop so others can get it for free and any change in the lay out that change our enjoy in the game + aksing for another truckload of gold for poorly thought through updates where the bugs arn't fixed / checked on a testserver or the math simply are so bad that even a child in fifth grade would get a thumbs down from the teacher presenting a calculations like this. You are rigth to You opinion but STOP ask peolple to stop whining this is a propper way to complain about things when they are not rigth or breaks down. If no ones complains how do You think they would know how to fix things since they cant figure out problems in their balancing team and do simple math

Was just selling my pigs and noticed that there is a darkened transport option - when you scroll over it, it says it is not available yet. Hmmm . . . wondering if this has to do with the boat or plane we see on the background? Are they finally giving us another way to profit off of pigs? And since I haven't built one yet does the donkeys also have this not available transport option too?

The transfer option is currently only for moving items into your GF Bakery storage that will be used as ingredients in the bakery goods it produces. Pigs and Donkeys are not made into bakery products (at least not yet :)), therefore there is nowhere to which you can transfer them. There is the possibility of adding that feature at some point to those items, but until that happens the button remains grayed out to show that the function is not possible; the same thing happens for other ingredients when you fill up your bakery storage for those items.

I did notice the word "Bakery" is in a bar at the top of the transfer screen that looks like the standard drop-down selection bar, so it appears the transfer function has been set up to allow for future expansion into other farms and/or facilities; or maybe even the new Airport, like you had mentioned.

Well said!! i don't get what the rush is either to get to the point where all your doing is clicking and earning massive amounts of money..honestly once i get to that point it's game over for me and i move on. I like to enjoy the journey as another poster stated not rush to the end as fast as possible where there is nothing left to accomplish or do except click click click...talk about mindless gaming that gets boring real fast;(

All I can say is WAY TO GO ARTMAKER !!

It would not matter if the game was perfect,,,,whiners always find something to whine about....but since we are on the subject,,,,I would like to whine and ask for a chruch or chapel for our farms and would gladly pay gold for it!

    God Bless You :)
