Ruler, milk is milk.... if a ingredient calls for cows or goats milk, it should not, because they are both the same. If you don't find it useful to make goat milk because of production time or cost, it is okay, the cow milk can be used for everyhing. Just like duck eggs and chicken eggs, they all are just "eggs", and therefore are interchangeable.

:S So you are saying you don't have to have goats or ducks, if the main farm can keep the barn full?

Is there a way I can totally shut down and sell off the entire gourmet farm? Jim

I like the idea of goats and ducks for co-op missions - my land is filled with six barns of cows and six chicken coops so being able to bring more eggs and milk to help without having to move decorations and build houses for workers on the main farm is great idea for me. And the surplus gets sold off anyway. These are the great features of the revamp. The bakery not so much . . . waiting to see the diagram Latten says they are hopefully making available tomorrow to explain this - hopefully it will make more sense.

Saying as the level 1 silo on the new gourmet farm needs less dung to produce fertiliser than my level 5 silo on my main farm, does that make the silo on my main farm basically redundant???? Or am I missing something?

Edit: And why would I bother with the composter on my new gourmet farm when you need to use a lot more leaves to create humus than the one on my main farm?????

Edit: Edit: Oh! I see its a matter of time difference when producing them! Less leaves = More time, More leaves = Less time! Still not sure That I'll be using both, but nevermind!

You do not need to use anything from the gourmet farm.... although I am building lots of orchards there, so might need some animals for more dung. I think it will be a balance, if you need dung, ducks and donkeys produce quite a bit, ducks can produce lots of eggs for an overnight haul, ect. I have low happiness on main farm, maybe I can just put a silo on the gourmet farm and demolish the one on the main as well as a house to get some more happiness there. It will take some thinking and tweaking for everyone to get the right balance.

how do the times compare, Jumbo Whiffy? I haven't built the silo yet - but my understanding is that it takes more time.

I thought this then looked at the production times. Takes ages on gourmet farm

you can demolish all of the houses and decorations but you are not going to get your money back for the land or the fence or the gate or the start up cost

I think there is a lot of potential to be good, and people can use what they like, but I still think the Bakery is out of whack and hope they come up with their graphic that shows us how great it is soon... early info from some high level players it still seems to not be better than selling items off. Maybe I am just used to making bank on honey cream and soaps so was expecting something great.

    To Nafaru

    1. Why should we use the composter/silo on the gourmet farm? We can also use it from the main farm right? So what's the profit in that?

    2. My coop was trying to do the cherry juice research. We didn't start the research yet, because we didn't have enough members yet. But now this research is gone and we are not transferred in another research.
What happened to the money and gold we invested to join the research??

Does the renovation of the gourmet mean permanent removal of the restaurant right? Cause I can't find any trace of restaurant in the store O.O? So, anyone kindly tell me what replaces the restaurant to produce gourmet foods?

Thank you for all of your replies. My bad, I freaked out with the restaurant's disappearance while just skimming the announcement of changes T.T
Now i'm just at level 29, hope to be up to level 30 soon to have a hands-on exp with the new change :)

Instead of the restaurant you are now making goods in the bakery

the bakery replaces the restaurant.. it makes dishes that go into your inventory, not sold for a price right away like the restaurant did.

It is obvious for all of us, that this new bakery as it is - does not make any sense, it does not even make cents, not talking of dollars... And if it makes profit in the long run (after all upgrades and research is done), how on earth you are supposed to earn all those millions needed to pay for the research and upgrades? Thank goodness, for the flower farm and honey cream, hope you are not planning any changes there

I am afraid that is what they will do... honey cream and soaps are a great money maker, so you can almost bet that will be changed.

They did make a great change to the honey cream however, that you can now use milk. Simple change and I like that.

I m really unhappy. Its a copy of the basic farm egg is egg milk is milk pigs are donkey's and losing money in the bakery even the apple pie and that other appel thing will cost you money if you make them even at level 7 (-4k and -3K) the profit for the 2 other items are on level 7 +25K and +6K but what will it cost me to upgrade this building!!!

From my understanding (and correct me if I am wrong), we are not supposed to see profits from the bakery until "the late game" where our co-ops have done sufficient research to make bakery goods profitable.

So... if you can't find a co-op, or you don't want to be in one, or you are in a co-op that is low leveled and hasn't unlocked all the research, you're basically going to be bleeding money until you can get to a point where you can make goods for profit. Or if you don't want to be in a co-op then the bakery is never really going to be profitable for you.

    What's the logic in that?

Jay, you are right I do not see the logic in that. A few people that skipped building times to get a level 7 Bakery are not seeing very good profits. So the best a coop can give you is +20% right? Even that does not seem like the "big money" that we are supposed to see when the graphic becomes available.

It was stated from the very start that the Restaurant would be removed and replaced by a different kind of bakery. So essentially, the bakery IS the new Restaurant.

I am excited for the new updates but will we get reimbursed for the production of items that we had in our inventory? Will we get credit in money as if we sold them? I think that one of these 2 should be done to compensate those who were in the process of producing and had inventoried items for later production.
