With the happiness changes on March 18, and the promise of more higher valued decos to come, there's no excuse now not to give the specialist level decos an 84 value.

Sounds good to me, and maybe instead of the same 6 stages with higher collect rate it would make it more interesting just to add more stages with better rewards.

Then I dare you too. You will see it is not as easy as you think it is. And there would always be someone saying that your game isn't fair because you can't please everyone.

At the end of the day you can play this game for FREE. If you want to have the biggest and baddest farm then the reality is that you will have to pay money. Because people who PAY money for the game get advantages. That is nothing new in online gaming.

If you can't have a good sleep due to the rules changing in an online game then maybe it is time to step back and stop playing these games.
Lol, ok.. ill take your dare... but as you said.. its not just yaya and do it.. dont know why you assume i think it is.. so expect it will take a little little time:)

you can participate in this game for free, you can not PLAY it for free.

there are popular games out there with a different idea of how to make money, where payers get advvantages, but not in such a way that they can pay themselves into a top position.. for that , you need skill.. i like that method:)

And finally ROFL to the bad sleep.. sitting here right now with my coffee after a great nights sleep. Pllease do not confuse disagreeing on a topic.. with being upset in any way... i make my observations, and speak about it how i see it.. dont have to get all flustered to do that:)

I do really feel sorry for people who have invested large amounts of money only to be forgotten, ignored or worse being told it is "their" fault about their concerns. The developers need to realize that unless the majority of people are happy they have nothing, no income and eventually no job. But there seems to be a never ending supply of people thinking that things will improve so I'll just buy a few more ........ and good luck to them, it may just pay off but I am yet to see that happen to an online game as once the player numbers start dropping so do the updates. I have seen it so many times before.

The best thing about games like this is that you, the individual, get to play how you want to. Sure if your super competitive and can spare the cash go for it. Me I just cruise along at my own pace doing what suits me and helping the co-op along the way, I have had the misfortune of spending gold unintentionally because of some "glitch" on more than 1 occasion but I didn't pay for that gold and will NEVER pay for gold unless these problems are addressed. I'm not silly enough to believe its not fixable and certainly not silly enough to believe it's unintentional from the developers.

I'm at level 46 and running around 62-73 happiness on my main and gourmet farm. I actually saw a tiny increase in happiness on all farms, until I decided to add a meadow to the flower farm, and don't have room (until the next expansion) for enough decos to raise my happiness. Maybe I'm an oddball here, but I figure if I can get anything working to reduce costs, I'm doing good. After all folks, it's a GAME, and it's a way to pass time and be a little competitive, but if you're intent on making your (current) life's passion then I think you need some other hobbies.
It really IS, just a game.

Rules... They should make a game interesting and fair! Every game has been evolving, has its own history of rules and as a chess player I get really amused by reading anecdotes about old ones :). The game flow should reflect sense of coordination, balance, your imagination which helps you estimate and anticipate, pure logic that leads you through the jungle of possibilities... Your hidden childishness which drives you sometimes to disturb the balance just to see what will be born out of the chaos ;).

That makes me start thinking that Big Farm is not really a game. But what is it then? A fair maybe, vanity fair...

    Not a fair one...

Bundy4, Jiesta & Trippel..... WTG..... oh and TY Jenisiss62 too. Good to see people with a LIFE and common sense about a silly game....Made to ENTERTAIN you NOT OBSESS you !!

Don't give the game all your power..obsessing on the past...seems like such a waste of time...we all need to move forward. Come what may you are in control of you and no one else. What a little bitty insignificant part of life this game is.

I pray you will find peace in your heart and forgiveness so you can find joy again! :)

Did you even read those posts? Bundy4 has a down to earth, nonpositive view of this, and is pretty firm in his statement .
    Trippel2 seconds his statement.
Jenisiss62, says just about the opposite of what Bundy4 says..

And why.. just why.. is it so important for the ggs fans.. that the rest of us stop speaking? Is it really so hard to stay on topic? And by that I mean.. say that you love the game.. you are entitled to love the game.. its your right to love it and to say you love it.

I for one is still not upset.. no.. not even now:) atmost a tad flabbergasted:) that our opnion is such a threat..

We are told to shush if we dont like it.. and by many , told to leave.

If our posts , that do not glorify ggs are so provoking to you.. why do you read them? :)

Hugs, I wish you happiness and peace of mind, be thankful the world contains a multitude of different ppl,, would be so boring if there was only one way of thinking.. no challenge then ;)

Thank you laidygrail ;), but I am the one who have said that this game should be left to humble, reasonable and thoughtful people who like healty competition . And... all those who spend so much money and/or time (including myself, not proud of that) should be defeated by those who are more skillful, smarter! Therefore we need more mini games in which everybody would have the same starting positions, same farms, same amounts of money and time to reach the complex goal.

And i dont think i ever said i disagree with you:) After all, this game has loads of good ppl playing, like yourself.. and being humble and reasonable.. to me... does not equal being ok with misinformation and greed. Pick your battles :)

And i very very much agree that skill, and not money should decide your ranking. Wheres the challenge of skill, when money can get you to the top ( if you chose to spend it). And i dont know who is the best player here.. could be anyone ( but me).

And the kind of games you talk about about.. where its fair.. do exist out there.. and as ppl get more and more insistant on getting value for their cash even in online games.. I hope that will be the way to go for companies that actually enjoy sharing a good game , AND make money on it:)

I'm glad that you're hearing me, but unfortunately I feel a vague notion that you're not listening. No matter, there are those of us that see this as what it is, a GAME, not a competition, not something to rant and rave about or lose sleep over because we can't "be what we think we deserve to be", and certainly not to come to the forums and (verbally) abuse anyone in the game. What exactly is it that you want from the game? to be on the TOP of TOP? really? something like that is so important that you would behave in such a manner here, where there are lots of folks that just play by the rules instead of insisting that the rules are made to accommodate them. Take this at face value only, I don't know you as a person, but as a community player, you appear rude, narcissistic, and entirely too involved in a mere computer game. It is players like you that keep me from even entering forums, preferring to just play my game according to the existing rules, and play it the best I can. And that's all I have to say about that ~ Forrest Gump

Ok,... namecalling... why the need for that?
If to listen means to hear and agree...? then i cant do it, sry
yes it is a game.. but its no longer the game i started playing.. and i no longer log in on my farm as it has no meaning.. i cant even be sure what it looks like from day to day.
not a competition? Yes a game is rlaxing.. but even solitaire.. or throwing ball at a hoop in ur backyard is a competiton.. with urself... see what you can do.. and in multiplayer games, a lot like to compete for the top ranking, so yes , sry but it is a competition
Those of us who feel cheated by the gamedevs for both money and gamechoices rant and rave, but i suppose you are not? As long as there is no namecalling..
When did i abuse anyone? .. ive been called a conspiracythorist, a blasphemer, an idiot, a fool, and several other things in this thread.. and yet ive never retorted with similar words or a similar attitude.

And no i dont care to be on the top in this game.. 1 its no longer fun, 2 its waaay above my paygrade to manage.. and 3 its no longer worth a dime.

the rules were fine, then they changed.. i didnt change them, infact i asked to have them changed back.. like a lot of ppl that are harassed daily here for having an opinion that doesnt suit the ggs fans

you call me rude.. because i have an opnion u dont like and i asked you t mean what you mean and let me mean what i mean in peace.. and narcisistic? i dont think so hon, sry.

Is it up t you how involved i can be? .. and ave you even read my other posts?

I have multiple.. and a mean a lot.. of pms from ppl that do not dare enter here because of this kind of posts.. not mine. but yours.( yes I know both sides have that issue, but thats my point.. BOTH sides have it)

They are afraid to get hurt.. but as you cannot hurt me, im ok and dont mind being in here.
But this namecalling needs to stop.

I never called any of you by any negative name.. i have disagreed with a lot of you on topic, but i hold no grudge towards anyone for having another opinion.. it is your right to have that.

if you feel it was rude of me to wish you well, i apologize, but i will never wish you ill.

    Update 18.03. - Happiness achieved

    http://en.board.goodgamestudios.com/...ead.php?101703

Have fun discussing This might be an exciting one, so be sure to keep it civil

    By Latten

Topic : The ugrade named "Happines achieved".

Keeping it civil : Speak your opinion openly and be polite to the rest of the players.

Keeping on topic : talk about the upgrade, pros and cons.. add information, data. numbers, ask questions and review the answers. Weigh to and fro and come to your own conclusion.

Off topic : Arguing about whether another players personal conclusion is valid or not valid. Asking other players to be quiet , or to leave the game if they are not in favour of the upgrade.

Important principles may, and must, be inflexible.
    Abraham Lincoln

A people that values its privileges above its principles soon loses both.
    Dwight D. Eisenhower

The principles of living greatly include the capacity to face trouble with courage, disappointment with cheerfulness, and trial with humility.
    Thomas S. Monson

Rules are not necessarily sacred, principles are.
    Franklin D. Roosevelt

To me, consensus seems to be the process of abandoning all beliefs, principles, values and policies. So it is something in which no one believes and to which no one objects.
    Margaret Thatcher

I love those who can smile in trouble, who can gather strength from distress, and grow brave by reflection. 'Tis the business of little minds to shrink, but they whose heart is firm, and whose conscience approves their conduct, will pursue their principles unto death.
    Leonardo da Vinci

This is a principle I live by.
I disagree with everything that man has said, but I will fight to the death to defend his right to say it.

SheepsFlower, the architect has been coming round today, perhaps he is wearing a cloak of invisibility for you? Very mysterious. As for game rules, I believe there is a code of conduct available somewhere in the forums/informational sections, but I think the rules as discussed here are largely more along the lines of parameters or boundaries actually set by game functions (how many builds of a specific building/facility, the happiness algorithms before and after update, etc.) Not so much a set of rules but governing functionality boundaries. Though I may be wrong and just haven't come across a set of rules for the game itself, which is always possible.

Ok, first thank you for the kind words about my previous posts friends.

    Second, WTF did I miss?

We went from discussing things that we (the customers) were not happy about and the generic/lack of response from the game developers over certain issues/flaws with the game to a verbal slinging match?

I'm new to forums and don't understand why things get personal? Why do people write things to intentionally hurt/upset others? It's not like speaking where people get passionate, upset or angry and just blurt out inappropriate things as a knee jerk reaction, you can write and then read through what you say before clicking the POST button. If you personally attack someone in writing you have no excuse, you are either a mean spirited nasty person who means to shock/upset someone or uneducated and lacking people skills. Two very good reasons to stay away from forums.

Whether or not this is the game you started playing and enjoyed and if you still like the game there really is no need for name calling or putting fellow gamers down because you have a different view on a topic. Imagine how boring a game would be if it had rigid guidelines and rules (you need 2 apple farms, 1 cow shed ect), everyone's farms would be the same, everyone would claim the same goals at the same time.

Yes people will always have different opinions because everyone has their own perspective on what the game is or should be, but regardless of the game play the real issue is still NOT what the game is evolving into but the underhanded sneaky way the developers have forced us into the need to purchase gold to achieve what we were achieving before the last update with good planing and hard work and so on.

That's right, what we were all doing at a certain standard/happiness before now requires gold OR much much more time, cash and room on the farms to achieve. What has this added to the game play? Well it has made it much more difficult to manage a balance between moving forward, levelling up, making money and improvements to the farms (not necessarily a bad thing depending on your point of view and how much time and money you put into it) but most importantly it has upset customers/gamers and caused angst in the forums.

This would not be the problem it currently is if the developers would actually inform people why they are going down this path, why they do not listen to the majority of gamers wishes and give real, honest answers to questions like why they refuse to fix the issue with "accidental" spending of hard earned gold.

People come to the forums seeking answers to many questions. Some are here to vent frustration, some looking for tips on game play and some want justification for changes that they don't like or agree with and want to find others going through the same issues.

Enjoy and embrace the freedom this game offers and don't let anyone dictate how, if and why you enjoy the game. ESPECIALLY don't assume that the game developers are making all these changes in your best interests for you or the game play, they are trying to make an income and have shown that they have their own agenda. The developers are not honest, open and upfront, not because they necessarily think we are all idiots but because it would cause uproar amongst players. They do things the way they do because they know the majority people won't just up and leave the game but will complain in the forums for a few weeks/months then realize nothing is going back the way it was and move on in the game. We are our own worst enemies.

I have never purchased gold through the game because I see that as a premium upgrade for which you don't really gain much advantage AND because at least 5 times I have used gold unintentionally on stupid upgrades that I did not want due to game lag/glitching while harvesting or moving items around. The first two times I was told that it was my fault and either a browser issue or an internet connection issue, I know that this is BS because after reading through the forum there were so many others complaining about the same thing. So while the developers are trying to pass the buck many of us can really see that they are being dishonest which in turn leads to alienate the player base. We are not all kids and will not just follow blindly accepting everything told to us.

So please, lets keep this civil, if not because you really want to aggravate/upset someone BUT because there are kids here reading these comments as well as adults and we should be setting some sort of standard for them.

Have a GREAT DAY ALL :)

Brilliant! lol.....you do realise this will just cause even more drama don't you?

How about GGS gives jaystarr an elephant and gives me my rollercoaster decoration? This thread is going around in circles with the same opinions and views often been given by the same players. Both sides are bringing up the rules and telling the other to stay on topic and not get personal when the reality is that they are indirectly insulting and offending each other with sarcastic words and ridicule. All players have their opinions and will come to forums and state it if they feel it necessary to do so. They don't need people coming here and claiming to speak on their behalf when the fact is this person just wants to voice their opinion over and over and over again.

Bundys got my vote for best post in thread, this is how online games work. It may be wrong but its their game, their rules. You can choose to continue to play or simply leave and find another game......its not rocket science.

Yeah, I'm not sure if this thread is going for some world record for "most replies to a topic", or "most times a dead horse can be beaten" or something like that, but pretty much the last 10+ pages was just the same people hearing themselves talk or something. Sure, they have a right to do that, but come on now, it's just boring. :(

P.S. Do the elephant and rollercoaster deco have some sort of happiness value that will actually make a difference on my farm? :P

Well I was thinking the elephants would be a dung making machine, one paddy alone would be equal to all stables combined! :D

The rollercoaster would be the king of all happiness decorations that would make a whopping 1% increase in happiness if your running costs were below -85% lol.

Does the game belong to you? Who does the game belong to? Do they have the right to change THEIR game reguardless of the outcome? Has GGS forced you to LEAVE because your trying to force them to YOUR WILL?

If that is not what your doing then what is it...we've heard it all over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again..get my gest? YOUR POINT IS MADE

No one is calling you names, if they were you'd have something NEW to complain about!

Have you ever considered politics..8)...LUV YA
