All my farms were running at -100% before the changes, and I'm using good to very high quality decors on all my farms, but as of today ...

    Main farm +354, running cost= -84%
    Gourmet +374, running cost = -85%
    Flower +196, running cost = -75%

Those are very, very significant drops. It seems that to get back to as close to -100% running cost, we have only two options: either delete buildings and replace them with decors, or replace existing decors with existing higher quality ones. But according to RulerWirehair1, an increase in +24 happiness gives out only 1% improvement in running cost, so it's certain that new decos with even higher happiness levels will soon be introduced. And it will definitely be mostly gold-based.

housing in this game is factor for number of workers so ofc it shall mean more unhappiness than happiness the more number of workers it gets. that's not even a reason at all. if we were buying workers for pure unhappiness, then yea housing could be a positive factor and every house becomes like doghouse which gives more "happiness" with each upgrade. but realize that in this game houses don't represent accommodation, it represents number of workers you get.
Lol ok.. so we have 10 houses that noone lives in... no wonders the workers are grumpy over that, and its totally realistic.. it was realism you meant?
but since it cannot be explained well, by reaalism standards.. its not a factor at all.. i see...

Actually i dont see at all tbh. Either a game is a game with its own adapted rules, or it is realistic ( or as close to as possible). Either way you cannot defend and adapted games rulechange with realism if its not apparent in the rest of teh game.. and vice versa.. if a game is realistic.. you cannot defend it having totally nonrealistic aspects can you?

Unless ofc... you change the rules during the game.. leaving players at a loss or at a huge disadvantage, no matter the game

dottie, we all know this wasn't about making any of us happy (other than the players moving up in ranks from people leaving).we used our voices ggs could have cared less with what we have to say. there's no point to playing all day. I will log in to fulfil coop obligations. spring is around the corner, time for baseball, fresh air and buying a xbox today to fill in the time that i choose to play a game.

    RulerWirehair1 @ us 1

In real life all the shops have to listen to their client's complaints - the client is always right. I agree with you, I will collect my daily bonus, help with coop projects and don't worry to play any longer if I am unhappy to do so.

This update made more than 80% players unhappy, but GGS does not adhere to their complaints. What will happen if this update stays any longer? A lot of players will leave the game and GGS's income with decrease magnificently. Why did they do not a survey to each player's private message box BEFORE this ridiculous update?

Sorry, but I am one of those that are very unhappy and did not enjoy farming anymore. Maybe I have to look for something else, but surely it won't be a GGS game.

    WOW!!! seriously???? :(

i just now woke up to log back in after the update and i guess i must still be sleeping and in the middle of a nightmare?

my running costs went from -91% to -79% in the blink of an eye (main farm)!!!

not awake enough to produce anything and check actual costs yet...but wow!!

just seeing it go from -91% to -79% is scary enough..:(

and in my mind.....i have lots of decos there, for my workers to look at........

:( going back to sleep and will deal with it when i have had more sleep...:(

    all farms:
main went from -91% to -79%
gourmet went from -80% to -73%
flower went from -98% to -82%

note: main farm does NOT currently look like it normally does (before the Asian event started) because i had to add 3 extra pigsties to get thru task 5 on the Farm Specialist level!

The real impact of this update in my main farm:

    Before -100% and now -84% (?!)

    some running cost:

    cherry 0 and now 1424
    Apple 0 and now 499
    cow 0 and now 186

    mill
    wheat 0 and now 300
    silo
    before 0 and now 209
    composter
    before 0 and now 60

    field
    now for wheat 533

So do not tell this is a low impact update.....

And this is only on main farm (the loss of money)..
All i worked hard is now in vain.....

So those of you stating, "the game will move on, etc." do realize GGS has already had 2 farm games fail, correct?
This version was supposed to be more about keeping players satisfied and fingers out of the coin purse.

    Any of this sounding familiar?
People learn from their mistakes right?

Well, we were told to wait and see, we were told it was a lot of fuss over nothing and the impact would be small and would balance out overall and even benefit some players. Well my farms were all -100%, now they are all in the low 80s. Not a small impact imo. Added to which we have another pointless and annoying update in the harvesting where you have bought books. I wish I could go back and un-buy my books as the animation is really, really annoying and gets in the way of harvesting. Please, please GG put some thought into game play, not just into how you can squeeze more gold purchases out of the gold players!!!

    Hey everybody,

we're still going through and forwarding all of your feedback.

A small heads-up for those who think about changing to "no deco"-farms as a consequence to this update now, please be aware of the fact that second farm changes are just around the corner.
The new gourmet farm will focus a bit less on pure production for net earnings, but some more on producing actual goods you will be able to use on other farms as well (humus, fertilizer, dung).

Obviously we want you to experiment to see what you feel works best for you, but please do consider that if you now change your playstyle, you might have to change it again when the gourmet farm update occurs, which is going to be really soon. If you swap to find something that works now, it may not be the best setup in a few weeks time and you might notice some changes to the amount of cash you earn after the second farm rework. We would recommend that you wait for the rework before making any major changes to your farm.

    Regards,
    Steffi

Changing the happiness calculation is crap. I had -100% on all farms now my main farm is 89& this morning and you expect me to buy more gold...fat chance of that and i will most likely just quit this rediculousness all together. If many players do that what will you have? Nothing. No gold buyers, no revenue...not going to help much is it?

you guys with your prophecies have gone too far in your head, I'm a normal player like you guys nothing else, ask ggs company directly and see xD
second i said it before you are not seeing whole picture this change is also related to gourmet revamp, which is hopefully soon(or latten said so at least, dont blame me if it wasn't xD)
and i mentioned it before and i mention again, my words here are not for those "who threatened ggs to quit if anything changes xD" my words are jsut for those who are still playing and looking forward to new changes. if you're too upset or idk whatever, go quit that's 100% non of my business at all, but if you're still playing just realize how more challenging this game is becoming and enjoy it.

p.s. @ Nafaru and Latten: I'd like some rewards it seems plz since others already assumed i've gotten some it won't hurt anyway right? xD

but if you're still playing just realize how more challenging this game is becoming and enjoy it.

Sry in advance.. i just cannot resist..

Yes i am quitting, lol.. but i would appreciate if you didnt try to get into my head, trust me.. you would get lost so fast, besides im a psychic... and im not intruding in your head:P

    And the whole picture is:

GGS starts a farmgame, pushes the goldselling as far as it goes and finally closes the game down. Then they do THE SAME THING AGAIN. That game closed too.. due to customers leaving.
Rinse and repeat.. they are doing it.. again.

Yes it is realistic, very realistic, do the same over and over, and you get the same result.

Or as Einstein put it.. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expect to get different results.

    This game is dead.

that happens to all online games not this one, and im not gonna explain why it happens really(cause you're a psychic but i'm a businessman). but i do feel sympathy for you if you thought this game is lasting forever and spent lots of money on it with that thought.

We really have no idea what the percentages are on who is happy about the change and who isn't. No on in my co-op has really said anything about the change or seems to be bothered about it. I don't think they really care, but will see what happens today.

exactly one out of 17 is unhappy in our co-op. so idk where this 80% exact statistics here came from either and why these guys are so sure of themselves that they are the only ones running this business too. xD

I wish you the same too and to all other ppl who think im a secret agent or sth too xD
p.s. just because the ppl who are satisfied with these changes are not bothering to come say thanks here, that does not mean the majority of complainers here are majority of players. seeing how you guys can't even take another player being positive about this and thinking of him as a secret agent of ggs company or sth, i do understand why my co-op mates tell me be careful there on forums xD

I am guessing this the business strategy that GGS is using... They start a online game then reach a glass ceiling where the revenues are coming in slower and because they don't have many bright ideas they go on the path of making consumers unhappy and then close the game down! Then the whole cycle starts with GGS starting a NEW game where they generate real money faster... and on on on we go...
Its actually a brilliant business plan!!! not so brilliant for the consumers...

And who are you to say that is less than 80% of unhappy players?!

The other player have all the right to express what he feels or thinks!
But you have no right to comment like that!... Say your opinion and not mess with others!

very disappointing!!! With this upgrade I went from 100% happiness down to 85% on my main farm - nevermind the changes on my other farms! As my farm has been complete for a while now this makes me very angry considering how much time and effort I put into getting it to run perfectly!!!

you're the one who getting it the wrong way, i just expressed my own opinion on this board, but soon the negative types started swarming me and offending me even going too far in their head that i'm a secret agent or sth and being rewarded lol, go figure why other players that are happy with changes don't come here posting anything.

When I put a deco with 74 happiness on my production farm, my running costs went from +470 to +469. That is what I call INSIGNIFICANT. So no need to put extra deco's on that farm.
Having about 14% running costs extra on the gourmet farm and the flower farm I call very significant.
On the www farm I put 13 deco's back on to get to running cost +418. Besides this taking up very much space it also looks very messy and ugly. I think it looks neat and tidy without the deco's.
As to the achievements: I couldn't care less, it has no contribution to gameplay at all. I ddn't even look at what was added.

So overall I am not happy, but it is not going to change the way I play this game. I wasn't buying gold because of the missing "goldlock" anyways. But when my farmdollars are all spent I will be laeaving this game.

I am really NOT looking forward to the change in the gourmet farm either. It means I will have to rebuild it. And I liked it the way it is now.
