    GREAT THREAD!
I haven't spent a huge amount on gold, but I've spent more than I should have. I'm thinking some craft supplies would be nice... I've recently started teaching myself kumihimo (Japanese braided cord) , and the stuff I have on hand to do it just isn't quite right.

    Hi Orson
Amazon uk sell it so it is likely that Amazon US does as well. The UK link is http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=kumihimo+braiding+cord&tag=googhydr-21&index=aps&hvadid=28639159980&hvpos=1s1&hvexid=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=10999439019336690133&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=b&hvdev=c&ref=pd_sl_48fkdbw3ve_b

If they don't and you need some shipping over let me know

Wow what a great thread.. I'm in agreement... Friends, Food and Fun!!!! Lets all meet up and have a giant party on GGS.. Then I will get away from the computer and go fishing with the family when it warms up... :)

Then after this I will buy a bunch more hiking gear and head for the mountains for a week.. Nothing is better than hiking and fishing with friends!!!

wonderful idea to make this thread:) Just what everyone needed about now, and with the spring advancing here, tiny little flowers showing color, sun shining... If nothing else, I will certainly spend more time outdoors:)

Thank you for being such a caretaker ;)

Camping sounds a great idea can i recommend "Lobb Fields Barnstaple N Devon" a great family friendly site close to beautiful blue flag sandy beaches. We go there regularly during the summer, walking distance to the pub and great food if u dont wanna bbq. And cheap!!

Hi fran just took a look, that may work for some of our coop members from that neck of the woods. Have you tried Fforest fields in Buith Wells Wales? It is a dark night site so is amazing for stargazing. Last year went up and sat out all night watching Perseids Meteor Show, it was fantastic.. . They have a canoe.swimming lake and a separate fishing lake. The facilities are brill, re showers, washing machines and a room lined with fridge freezers that you can put your goods in. The honest shop is brill it has organic meat, local made welsh ice cream and lots of other stuff, You just pop the money in the box and take what you need. I will let you know when we go camping again and you are welcome to join. They hire out braziers silly priced couple of quid with wood so you can toast marshmallows, great fun and good hiking x

nothing beats home grown veg ladygrail, other than my organic free range chicken eggs, lol. I Spain 2 weeks ago, only one got cracked, which was good going considering case was in the hold. Its fun growing chilli peppers, have some growing on window sill now. Let us know what you grow and the progress xx

Hi Monica it is so tempting in the UK to buy the seedlings and plant them out, then Jack Frost comes and takes them. I try to resist temptation re planting out before May, I done put anything in the flower beds now only Blackcurrant buses as the free range chicks think they are treats for them, lol.

They are allowed bottom part of blackcurrant bushes. Lovely to watch them in the garden even better when the head hens join us for breakfast in the kitchen, They never want to in the winter or spring only summer and occasionally winter. No idea why not other times, They come in and eat the cat food, much to the cats dismay xxx.

Where do you hike Tigle? we join the Thursday Hikers group from Las Vegas when we are out visiting that way. Mount Charleston was awesome in Autumn. There are some fab national parks in US and Canada. xx

It brings a new meaning to eating out nanns, love cutting up local veg for a soup on the camping stove, it may be fun for us all to share camp recipes. xx

I think this is a very nice idea, this thread. Being part of a coop is being part of something bigger then yourself. In this case I really like the fact that this thread is bringing many people together from many different coops. Coops coming together to make ONE REALLY BIG COOP.

Anyway, I was just curious, exactly how much money have I spent on this game? So I looked up my credit card statements and to my shock I have spent just over $200 since I started playing. To some that sounds like a lot and to some others, that is just a drop in the bucket compared to what they have spent. This is the first game that I have really liked and actually spent real money on.

So what am I going to spend money on now that I will not be buying gold? Well I have a 3 day weekend so I am going to be going out of town to see my sister that had a serious skull surgery. I will spend the money on gas and a very nice dinner out for my sister and her husband. Thanks GGS for paying for the trip.

I be going to the shops and buy a game I do not have to keep paying for and that is not changing all the time just to get money out of you. Whats the bet that when they open up the new parts of the farm you will have to pay for it.

    Hey Peggy,

I know it's been said a bunch in this topic already, but I give you mad props for the solidarity that this is creating over people having alternate ways to spend their money. It looks like lots of people have common interests that wouldn't be discovered had it not been for this topic! :)

    Hi Larino
That sounds a good plan. Maybe you can start a travel blog when you make your journey. If you do, will you consider taking an egg and painting a face on it and attach a note and take a photo of it then send it to us at Happyhens. The reason I ask is that is what we do in our coop and post it on our webpage.

A word of caution don't do what I done when I took eggie (that's what I call my travelling companions) to the
Stuttgart Beer festival last year after her photograph shoot I put her back in my bag and forgot about until a week later, Not a good smell. I hope they found the eggie I left in the Luxembourg spa hotel,
You can find amazing places to put eggies. One of the Para gliders in the Black Forest took an eggie on a flight and realeased him to do a free fall. Don't think eggie survived that one. We leave little notes with the eggies, Latest ones were eggie left on a plane with a note asking for Political Asylum and one eggie that was claiming the throne at
    Alhambra Palace.

It would be good if you had a eggie go on your travels with you. She/he can be your friend, and there is the bonus that if you are ever caught in a hungry situation, eat him.

    Have fun Larino xxx

LMAO sooo cute luvin this thread x

    Hi Monica
Glad you made it back alive, we would have had to send out helicopters. The feel and smell of fresh linen is bliss. I think I will give the housework a miss, have a distinct dislike of housework, cant stand it, more than happy for someone else to do it for me. Good job we all have different likes and dislikes it equals the world out in many ways. Enjoy the city and zoo outing,

    xxx

    Hi ezio
Always a good feeling to use owm money on yourself, the only thing that beats it for me is buying something for someone else. Enjoy your weekend and new game.

    Hi Jjaystarr
Many thanks for your comment, I love the phrase 'mad props' / I had to google it as it was not one that was familiar to me. They will be my words of the week next week. So far on the thread we grab a canoe, for a paddle, then hike to a campsite after having upsize KFC fries have a quick go on a ps3, read Larino's journey blog, have lessons learning kumihimo, whizz down the mountain on some snowmobiles, get some new cars to drive to aplot of land where we can grow flowers for gramps wife and farmchuckins sister, sell the rest so maria can go to Australia to see family and have a shared fund to pay bills. I can add to it as payment for anyone who wants to tidy my house (they have to love chickens as the head hens like to hjoin us for breakfast in the kitchen inn Summer) Then we can have manicures and pedicures before going out for a Chinese meal and a skating display by jaystarr If it stops being warm in our hot spot corner and gets a bit chilly we can snuggle under monica's newly made blanket. Stay safe and have a great weekend folks xxx

You have all made me really hungry reading these posts. I saved 30 euros today as for the first time I didn't buy gold on a 100% offer, so I think I will suggest to hubby a meal out:-)

    Hi Maria

When you look at it the world is really a smaller place than we sometimes imagine. What part of Oz are your family in. My sister lives in Sydney and is home in June for a holiday. She has live out there a long time and would not return to the UK to live. Maybe start your fund now and keep us updated.

stay safe and you can make your wishes come true xx

    Hi Peggy,

My two aunts live in Melbourne. So nice that your sister comes home for a holiday. And I must agree with you, world really is a smaller place than we sometimes imagine. And thanks for the great idea, I will start my fund now :)

    Love,Maria
