    Hey Griffith,

    as already stated in the discussion thread, there will be just bakery v2 after the revamp of the gourmet farm. Both dairy and bakery v1 will be gone and the restaurant will turn into bakery v2. :)

    Regards,
    Steffi

    thanks and that's a very disappointing news btw. means less parallel process building and time management and more like second main farm, not restaurant/ business like or gourmet farm anymore.
    i just hope if you're making a second main farm, you bring new events for it too at least cause the basics seem all the same anyway.
    1-field step(collect vegetable step), 2-collect orch step. 3- process buildings collectible step(mill,silo,composter). 4- donate/run/make feed (duck egg, goat milk, donkeys), etc etc.
    if everything is going to be same again at least give us some new events.
    and to be honest i dont think new gourmet will make money anymore. cause there's no dairy and bakery and restaurant to run at same time with time management anymore. just same old little by little profit making by duck eggs i guess.

    p.s. idk if its just me or others feel same too. but it seems like you're basically implementing main farm's exact interface on gourmet farm and renaming everything only:

    field = garden
    almond=apple
    cherry=peach
    chicken=duck
    pig=donkey
    cow=goat
    mill = watermill
    silo = watersilo?!
    composter= watercomposter?!
    etc etc

    the only difference i see is cabin replacing farmhouse, and a bakery v2(=restaurant) which we probably shall sell omelets in it forever. since other recipes due to no dairy or bakery parallel processing will probably take a year to prepare.
    I can just hope you don't do the same with flower farm and distillery and apiary and mixing plant later. cause that way all 3 farms will be just same thing anymore.

    That's what I meant by my comment about it being a re-skin of the main farm in the opening post.

    My gourmet farm is completely built and has been for quite awhile. I got into a regular pattern with the timing of everything there, and it has become really easy for me to operate it. It will be a huge adjustment to re-learn the rhythms and cycles there.

    We don't know anything about the production cycles yet, though, or the new recipes or values of any of the finished products. It may be every bit as profitable as our current gourmet farms. And then some. Or not.

    So - although I'm quite content with the gourmet farm as it is, I'm also quite curious about what GGS has been cooking up over there in Deutschland. If I don't especially like what I see, I might finish building the flower farm before I mess with reconstructing the new gourmet farm.

    How can the gourmet farm have no restaurant? If thats true it completely messes up my strategy of running marzipan ice-cream, in fact my whole gourmet farm is designed to maximise the production of this dish.

    i so agree with u gizmo...we don't need to change the gourmet farm into something no longer viable for making big bucks, like the ice cream. Now we won't be able to make the $$ from the honey cream either and i just upgraded to the max, making over $800 thousand dollars every 7 hours!! I am disgusted with these changes!! Why not ask the farmers what they want for petes sake instead of just doing some hair-brained scheme? Oh i forgot; its for them to make more money on gold purchases!!!!!!!

    I agree with you guys ...my farms run in the icecream and honey cream back to back everyday and i have it flowing easy so i really hope that the peach and almond pie or muffins will sell for the same amount or whatever is that the bakery will be producing...i only wanted more levels to the dairy not a repeat of the main farm.

    If the new gourmet farm makes us all have to find a different strategy, I am all for it, the game is not challenging enough after around level 70.

    I don't understand why everyone complains about something before it's even rolled out?
    Give it a try first.

    But......

    THEN I would hope the game admins take note of what is good and what needs to be scrapped.
    They never seem to do that. Things that I see complaints about in this forum over and over never get fixed.
    So I get the impression, they don't listen to people here at all. Oh the forum moderators do, and that's great.
    But the actual game developers? I don't think they care what we think.

    I'll just play the game and figure out which changes I like to use, and ignore the ones I don't. At least there is enough stuff here to do that.

    Change is good. Even bad changes are good in that this game would be very boring otherwise. Especially for those who have maxed everything out. No longer any point in staying.
    So change is a good thing. (hopefully.)

    EricaJ has been updating the first post in this thread with the info she's collecting, so don't forget to check it occasionally and follow links, such as the one to the post where Latten said this:
    Latten wrote: »
    We will try to exchange researches 1:1. This means that the former cherry juice research will still stay marked as finished, but it will affect another good, e.g. peach juice (I just made that up - it will be something that is available at the same level and will replace the former good).
    If we really have to remove one of the researches, you will get a refund for researcher and research costs. Same goes for researches that are running during the update process. These will be cancelled and you will get a full refund for all expenses.

    thanks montuos, trust me to not read all of it.... but one more question, if there are refunds where will they go? to the individual or the co-op? any ideas?

    I assume that research costs would be refunded to the co-op, and researcher costs to the individuals who paid them, but I haven't seen that particular question asked before or answered anywhere.

    From your quote from latten
    "you will get a refund for researcher and research costs."

    I know it's not spelled out but wouldn't the researcher cost got to the individual farmer's funds and the research cost to co-op's fund. As that that is where they were spent form

    Thank you very much Erica J. I was wondering what the gourmet farm was pertaining to, is this something that players would have to initiate or just over time you will be able to build the farm from scratch just like the one when players first started with the game?

    You can purchase the Gourmet farm from level 25 with farm dollars ($50,000) or level 20 with gold (5,900) Rhonda. You'll be prompted when you get to level 20 with a task.

    The Gourmet farm starts off with a restaurant and a cabin on it and you build it up like you do the main farm. :)

    Thank you for this great thread Erica! :)
    Just to be 100 % sure: The prices on new land wont change, right?

    Im very much looking forward to this - the new animals and fruits, the gardens shrinking and with more crops, the billion (more or less;)) i expect to get for my obsolete buildings, and the possibility to have some done meals in stock - hope it will be some expensive ones, then ill save them and sell when Steve turns up!:D
    In fact i dont understand why some people complain about loosing the icecream making, when you havent got the slightest idea whatsoever wich new recipees will be available.

    Eaters no longer give rise happiness

    Hi, I no longer give rise gourmet happiness, everything was a recess susidelevau like me comfortable, I have put together back all the happiness and the happiness of man does not rise, now is the +208 as I play!!!!!! !

    Hi Zydrekas
    First off this is a English forum so Please write in English only in future.
    I am not completely sure what You mean, and thats probably google translates fault. You need more decorations for the farm. Each house you build will drop the happiness of the farm, so you need to make sure that for every house you also have extra decorations. I hope that helps :)

    Using google Translate to Lithuanian

    Sveiki Zydrekas
    Pirmiausia tai yra anglų forumas, todėl prašome parašyti tik anglų kalba ateityje.
    Aš nesu visiškai tikras, ką reiškia, ir thats tikriausiai google verčia kaltę. Jums reikia daugiau dekoracijas ūkyje. Kiekvienas namas jums sukurti išmes fermos laimės, todėl jūs turite įsitikinti, kad kiekvienuose namuose, taip pat turite papildomų dekoracijas. Tikiuosi, kad padeda :)

    Kat replied with the info on when you can buy the gourmet farm in its current state. Right now it indeed comes with restaurant and cabin.

    However, if you already have the farm, it will be updated by GGS somewhere end March if we are lucky. The buildings that will disappear will be taken off by GGS and the money used to build and upgrade them refunded into your account. The products in your farm management will be auto-sold and the researches in the co-op replaced or refunded. After the update (in which the game will not be accessible) you will be a multi-millionair and your gourmet farm will be stripped from the old buildings. At that time, you can start building the new buildings from the build tab again. The shape stays as it is, as will the decorations that are on it, the goat stables, houses, cabin, water tower, workshop, gate and fence (did I miss anything?).

    If you do not have the farm yet and you buy it after the upgrade, it will probably start in its new lay-out - not sure what that will look like yet though! ^^

    Here's a question: Since we will now need the architect for the top levels on the gourmet farm as well as the main farm, will he visit more often and/or for longer periods of time. Or will he have SEPARATE visits for the main and gourmet farm? Will there be other ways to be able to start the architect event in the future such as a prime time?

    For now, the architect will not change after the update. He will come by about as often as he is visiting now and he will probably stay for roughly the same time, so you will have to prioritize which building needs an upgrade first (as before with the residentials).

    I will forward your feedback in regards to this, though. ;)

    :( ah well can't have everything...

    He's more like an occasional bonus than a necessity anyway

    ohhh yeah--
    like the part about we can have as many almonds and peach trees as we want. Is that so we can get all of the main farm rebuilt from this happiness mess, just to go through it all again on the resturant farm?
    I'll pass. Thanks

    Latest info tells us we get milk from goats and eggs from ducks. Will there be no distinction of the milk from cows or goats, and no distinction of eggs from chicken or ducks? If this is the case, will they all contribute towards projects and mission totals?
