Gourmet Farm Update

When the bakery and rest. get reworked do we get workers back. What products will be sold? Thinks as it is forced .....should be reimbursed @ buy price...........as there was production costs. Would like to know so as to not waste time and money!

All products that will not exist anymore after the update will be automatically sold. I am guessing that is, among others, pasta, shortcrust pastry, goat cheese, cream. I think it will be too difficult for GGS to give back the money at buy price, since everybody has different production costs. I have 0 production costs since my gourmet farm is at -100% running costs.

And yes, I assume you get the workers back for the buildings that get removed from your farm, same as the build and upgrade costs that will be paid back into your account.

Lol - hey I cannot know everything. The in-game information does not tell anything about workers, only about upgrade and building costs being paid back. You are not going to get any better information than this I am afraid, since the weekend has started and no GGS official is reading during the weekend. If you want to know from GGS, then send a PM to a community manager and wait until Monday :)

Pay attention to information GGS has not given out yet? Impossible. I have a life too, you know. I cannot spend 24/7 on these forums reading every single thread. Somebody tried that before and she was away quite soon again. All I read is the questions forum, the official annoucements and sometimes the technical problems. If you do not like me not knowing everything, then read it all yourself. I cannot afford to pay attention all the time.

What worries me a little bit is how many different things are at play here, and with GGS's current track record.. I hope they don't get too much of it wrong!

I for one will be keeping a list of what farm buildings (and their levels) I have on the gourmet farm, and a rough idea of inventory, although I'm trying my best to run it down to as close to zero as I can. I suggest anyone else with similar concerns does the same.

Hey guys, just to let you know so there is no nasty surprises for you, all of the goods in the Gourmet farm side of the storage will be sold off when the update for the farm occurs.

Does this include all the harvested products in the gourmet farm management part or is it just the products that we produced? Is there any products that we will be able to make that will still be the same and are any of the harvest items remaining? I hope we are still able to make the marzipan ice cream...my favorite thing to make.

PS. sorry didn't know how to do the quote bubble.

It's all the good in the farm management window for the Gourmet farm. I don't know what the recipes will be for the bakery, but I am doubtful that marzipan ice cream will be one of them since we won't have a dairy any longer sorry.

And to use the quote feature, the easiest way is to go to the post you want to quote, then click on the Reply with Quote button underneath. :)

That's news to me. Why is this information being released in a piecemeal fashion, rather than in the in-game announcement ? Not having a dairy affects the flower farm where I've just spent over $80m to be able to produce hand cream, which uses... cream.

You might be interested in this thread, where I've summarized what we know about the changes to the gourmet farm.

Since the existing processing facilities and recipes on the gourmet farm are going away, some of the things produced in the flower shop must change, too.
