Question: Are leaves&twigs going to be ditched in favour of just fallen leaves? If this is the case, will the leaves&twigs we have in stock be replaced/merged with fallen leaves?

    I have a few questions.
    1. since we are getting 50% reduction for building time for 7 days, is it possible to rebuild the whole gourmet farm in 7 days?
    2. Are we going to be reimbursed for the lack of income on the gourmet farm during the rebuilding?
    3. there are products from the gourmet farm we use in recipies on the flower farm. When the recipies are changed, will these products be replaced or just sold so we have to make the new products again from scratch?
    4. Can you show me the posts on the forum where people complained about the gourmet farm other than about the dairy?

I really hope someone can answer these questions for me.

    Regards Vikingur1-

    Hi vikingur1-2

    1. Since we do not know exactly how long the buildings will take to build even at 50% build reduction it is very hard to answer that. It would also depend on how often you were online. If its only 1 hour a day then my guess would be not possible. However I could still be wrong.

    2. You will be reimbursed for the buildings removed. As for the loss of income nothing has been said about that, I would hazard a guess and say no, simply because how is it possible for anyone to know how much you would make in a day. Plus how time consuming to do that with each member. I stick with my guess and say no.

    3. I have no idea what will happen. I think they would sold (you get the cash for what you have made) the recipes on the flowerfarm will be altered to cater for the gourmet farm change.

    4. The posts are numerous and everywhere. Sorry I do not have time to hunt them down. :(

    hello

i don't think this will be a good update... all of you ask about gold refund..
and we know that ggs always get back our dollars or gold..

they will remove the product that give back for us a big amount of money example marzipan ice cream level 5 (405000)... what the price of the eggs will be ? or the small recipes... ?? a few amount of dollars.

50% of the ggs update in those days it how to let the game stay a long long time and cant update everything.. they do it the first time in the main farm.. and they upgrade two more levels for every buildings and the last level always need architect and the architect every two weeks or three to back...
i don't know why some members and farmers are happy with this stupid update... and the same will be on the flower farm ( remember )...

if really ggs need update do a fourth farm for level 100+.

Leader of " Lebanon " Cooperative top 50 on international 1.

    Thanks,

I'm really REALLY grateful for the all the information about the gourmet farm. I think we are all anxious to see how this will turn out. But I can also understand why people are annoyed about the loss of gold used to speed construction. If you're hooked on the game enough to love it and spend time and money on it, then you're allowed to upset when it gets changed - even if other people are happy.

Have asked this question on another thread...but may get a quicker answer here....why the need to start the goat shed from the beginning to go up two levels...why not just upgrade as we have done on the main farm....also share the question from other players on how can we upgrade all the new buildings, orchards, and fields to level 6 to compare to our existing items in the 1/2 build time from our gift from GGs? Be safe and hug the ones you love every chance you get....

The goat sheds will stay on the farm! So they will still be there after the upgrade in the same levels they were before :) The other buildings will be removed and new buildings will be available to build (for example the dairy, bakery and restaurant will be replaced by bakery V2 (as Erica named it). The fields will be completely revised, same as orchards and they will also need different amounts of workers and different upgrade prices, so they have to be removed and built up from scratch :( It is not certain whether we will manage to upgrade them to similar levels the buildings we have now are in 7 days with 50% building time reduction though :( So I guess that question still stands!

Yes, just work it like normal, it'll still make money until they make the changes, no point losing money

Besides that the gourmet farm will keep making money until the update hits, demolishing all the buildings will give back half of the costs you paid and GGS will give you (as far as I understood) the full costs back when they remove the buildings still on the farm when the update hits. So it is better to keep it the way it is than to demolish it :)

I agree with you gizmo! I too have my gourmet farm designed around the restaurant and making the ice cream! It is upgraded to the max and making a lot of $$ for my total income. Why not leave the restaurant alone?? Why fix what ain't broken??

I agree with Gizmo, My gourmet farm is set up for Marzipzn Ice Cream and my flower farm for Honey Cream ,
One batch of each and that's an easy million. My guess is that they figured some of us were making too much money and wouldnt spend real dolllars to buy gold. Think this is just another way to get people to buy gold. It is a business and that is how they make money.

I really hope that isn't what are they doing, and that they won't replace those high income recipes with something not so useful.

Think this is just another way to get people to buy gold.

I fail to see how giving back every farm dollar you have invested in buildings that will be removed, plus an entire week of 50% construction time, is forcing anyone to buy gold. I get so sick of seeing this complaint! If you buy gold, that is 100% your own choice, nobody is twisting your arm to do it. GGS have been very careful to keep the game perfectly playable without gold, and give you regular amounts of gold as well. Gold undeniably makes play faster and more comfortable, but it is by no means a necessity.

Let's not make too hasty decisions on the Marzipan Ice Cream disappearing and the farm becoming useless or anything. Who knows what the new bakery will be making? Maybe that bakery will make Marzipan Ice Cream as well (which may not really be a recipe for a bakery, but who cares). Or maybe it will make something even better than Marzipan Ice Cream! We cannot be certain until the update hits, so yes, I am still happy with the update. Becoming unhappy with it is always possible after I know for sure the new lay-out is good or bad for my farm and the way I run it now. I just try to struggle on with co-op researches and building up my farms until the update hits. :3

montuos, u missed the point, I never said it forced anyone to buy gold , but taking away high revenue items would help encourage it. It is how they make there money and they are a business, so encouraging gold purchases by making it harder to earn large amounts of cash it not out of the realm of reality. BTW if you are so sick of seeing complaints the stop reading the forums. It it a a venvue for us to discuss what we fell about the game.

I'm with you on this one Larino, we don't know what's coming yet, so what if we lose Marzipan Ice Cream & Honey cream, I sure it will be replaced with something of equal value, i don't think GGS would silly enough to try that.
I wonder will there be new side tasks for the new buildings, 1 our members has 1 task to go (4x level 5) gardens, it's worth finishing for the 450 xp, will he get any new side tasks.
Looking forward to seeing what's to come.
    Happy Farming

Gizmo, it appears that the bakery will take on more of the role of the role that the restaurant had. We will have to wait and see what recipes/items are available to make and then re-set up our Gourmet farms to run those.

Personally, I'm loving the thought of being able to get stuck into the Gourmet farm and build new stuff. :D

Oh yes gold will be required, just will not be up front about it. It will come cloaked in a guy named STEVE. Yes they are upping the levels of the items on the gourmet farm. Currently I have 45 items awaiting steve on my main farm. He visits for 12 hours every three weeks. So by my count it will take 2.6 years to upgrade everything. Now add waiting for him on the gourmet farm as well and we get a whopping total of 5+ years to upgrade everything. That would be unless you pay, wait for it "Gold" to speed up the process. Although like all business's they will adopt the like it or leave it attitude because people refuse to walk away. Show me one that does and I will show you 1000 that do not :)

Aren't you assuming a lot there with little information really? We still don't know what the bakery is going to make, let alone how much the recipes sell for. :)

As for montuos leaving us, that's not allowed - I'll drag her back here kicking and screaming if I have to because she's a valued member! :D

Latten/Nafaru, I would like a more clear reply on this question plz
I did ask a question about whether bakery/restaurant/dairy will be merged on the other thread.

    Latten replied:
"No, the bakery will not merge these 3 buildings but be a new one that is pretty similar to the restaurant, just with new recipes. "

but what i meant mainly by my question is. after the update will we have all 3 types of buildings. Restaurant, Dairy and Bakery (v2). or Restaurant and Dairy will be removed from gourmet farm forever?

    thanks in advance

    Hey Griffith,

as already stated in the discussion thread, there will be just bakery v2 after the revamp of the gourmet farm. Both dairy and bakery v1 will be gone and the restaurant will turn into bakery v2. :)

    Steffi
