Back?
The almond orchard isn't mentioned in the pop-up as one of the safe buildings. "Almond orchards will be made smaller..." is what is written there. So are we going to have to rebuild them or not? Same thing is for gardens.
dear kat :did you read post #17??? if your money is for free then give me some!!!!!this outrage!!!!

did you put any money on the game?????????
1) The main money-maker farm won't be back up and running for a long time, thus less money for running other farms and donating to the co-op and research.
2) The time reduction for rebuilding is only for 1 week... that is not long enough, unless the 50% off is reduced to maybe 95% off, especially for larger levels of buildings. Depending on the player, there may be a lot of buildings and levels to replace.
3) Will the co-ops get their money back for the research that's being removed?
4) If the Almond Orchards, Gardens and Bakery have to be rebuilt, that could stop production of some money-making items in the Flower Farm as well, leaving only a couple items and main farm for profits.
5) Since the Restaurant came with the Gourmet, I am assuming it won't have to be built, but will it start from level 1 and we have to upgrade it again as well?
I agree that if a facility is being replaced with a "better" version it should already be replaced once the update is installed, we should not have to do that footwork again. All that does is delay our ability to get up and running again making profits. A building can't be used while it's upgrading, so it's like going back to the beginning, only we are larger now and require more profits to sustain our momentum forward, and the calculated losses from downtime are greater.
I do like the addition of new products and facilities, and understand that some items may have to be removed to allow this to happen. New strategies will have to be developed by all players, but it will add a little bit of new excitement to the game while it is all being figured out.
Some people were wondering if their gold used to skip building times would be given back... it's never happened before, so don't expect it now. Skipping with gold is not a requirement, but the cash used is, so most likely only the cash will be given back. The gold buildings are not being changed so they will remain intact.
Some suggestions to GoodGame Studios...
1) Don't run an event at the same time as you introduce the new Gourmet Farm.
2) Thoroughly test (and retest) the new Gourmet as a whole on it's own and as part of the group of farms offline before installing it on the active servers to make sure it really works.
3) Have a good backup of the current game status before installing the new Gourmet so you can go back to the old version should the install not work. (it can happen)
4) Actually go back to the old version while fixing the new one should the install not work; unless it's a really quick simple fix don't try to figure it out on the fly while the servers are offline for excessive amounts of time, that's just bad business for you and your customers.
I'm not telling you how to do your jobs, but this is a MAJOR change to the game as a whole, all players will be negatively effected at first, and it would be really nice to finally have an adjustment to the game go smoothly and without glitches, bugs, login problems, etc.
I'd like to know about this myself. Will our co-op be refunded all the dollars, gold, and time invested?
If it's not possible for the Dev's to swap that particular research with a new one, then there will be a refund.

So now that we have the new info/news button that gives us some idea that the changes are coming, would it be wise to start/continue to work on the gourmet farm?
Please give us some more details, just a little peek we are good at keeping secrets I promise lol.
Thanks for any information or secret that you can/will give us.
According to the info button, the Goat Stables are one of the safe buildings that will remain during the Gourmet renovation project, so you will not have to rebuild them from scratch. However, all of the other production and processing facilities appear to be marked for change or elimination, possibly including the Restaurant itself (we know some recipes will be scrapped), which means a lot of rebuilding is ahead of us.
I have done the same, and recommended to the rest of my cooperative that they only add/upgrade facilities that are on the safe list, like Decorations, Houses and Goat Stables. Why waste build time and money now on something we won't get to use anyways once the upgrade happens.
So is this our first hint that the Spaghetti recipe is to be thrown out, or was this just a random example of possible what-if scenarios?
Also to any Moderator, do you have a basic time frame in mind as to when you would like to institute this overhaul? I think most players would like to have a general time frame for planning their time in the game, like sometime this month, next month, this summer, next Christmas, the year 2047? We know you want to take the utmost care in checking and rechecking... and rechecking again... for bugs and glitches and functionality issues:rolleyes:, so we know an exact date cannot be given.
As for the researchers, it's a guess on my behalf sorry. I should have made that clear in my post.
Kat.
No one knows when they will be available:) It should be during the year though, if all goes to plan
To purchase the gourmet farm all you need do is go to the village, click on the gourmet farm sign then buy it from there. You won't be able to purchase it though if you are not high enough in levels to have it unlocked for purchase. Looking at the gourmet farm sign itself will let you know whether or not you can purchase it. If I remember correctly, there will also be a task assigned to you to purchase it.
Hey Finrod3, I would guess that GGS will give us a heads-up in advance of the actual implementation of the "new" gourmet farm. They have always let us know in the past when an update is scheduled. I don't see this as any different from the rest in that regard.
Everyone, read the info given. Goat shed - stays - restaurant gone, is being combined with the bakery that will need to be built, vs2 remember? All houses will stay, ONLY product no longer being used in recipes will be sold, etc etc. Read the words as stated.
Last info I've seen in the forums on when this all will take place - sometime towards the end of this month, March
This is a visual bug from flash. So you need to log out of the game and clear the flash player. Then log back in to the game and it should be back to normal.

but right this in easy words
and tell me how can i change my gourmet farm to my new farm
Kat.
the forum tends to be a bit of guess work by some monitors...i dont seem to trust the information i get.
It doesn't seem we got "all the money" we paid back.
I understand not being able to convert a Level 5 Restaurant to a Level 5 Goat Stable, but it makes sense to allow for the Level 5 Bakery to remain a Level 5 Bakery, especially since we didn't get all the money invested back. It may be old news by now (a few days) but these changes don't seem fair.
they are very good at upsetting everyone.
It's because of update like these prior to the event that caused even more anger and frustration. I redoubled my efforts to fill up my almond storage so I would be ahead of the game...all gone, not "safe". Almond orchards also gone. So were the fields. Maybe the people we look to for answers should say "I don't know" instead of building up expectations and providing false sense of security.
i have lost all my goat feed, can't get back. i have lost my restrauant, and i'm never going to get my farm back in the time alotted. There are some VERY false statements being made and I'm assuming you think we are to thick or young to notice!!!!!!!!!
