I must insert my congratulations as well on a super job.
I have two requests if you are accepting them ;-)...
1) Is there any way to save the completed layout? I would love to be able to keep a copy of how my farm is laid out so that as I expand things can be moved to design the best use of land with the new changes without having to start from the beginning. The second reason for saving is running out of time and needing to shut down in the middle of a redesign.
2) Would there be any way that the name on the block could be changed once it has been placed on the grid? this would help tremendously in differentiating between the different 4x4 and 3X4 ETC. blocks.
3) A button to expand all terrain, so we don't have to make 25 clicks to expand the entire farm?
And thank you for everything, it's really a great tool
thanx
Right click on the .swf file and click Download. After downloading the file open it in your browser which you are using at the moment. i.e Chrome , Mozilla.
You expand the grid into the same shape as your farm. Then you click on one of the squares next to the grid, which then moves to the center block in the right half. Now you can drag that piece wherever you want. Drag it into the grid the way you want it. Want to rotate it? Drag it onto the rotating tool. Got too many of those or do not need it? Drag it onto the bin. Continue until all buildings are on the grid the way they fit best. Then you use the 'nameless' squares, with the size on them, as decorations and fit as many as you can. This will be your example lay-out. Now you go back to your farm and store all decorations. Then you move the buildings in the places you put them in your example. Then you put the decorations back. You have redecorated your farm! Good luck!
I have always wondered if there was an app or something like this!

Kat.

Oh, this is not even necessary. You can just open the file in your browser. In the post above you Samty has posted a link to my tutorial how to easily open the file ^^
I was wondering if there would be an update in the future to accommodate the new Gourmet Farm changes when they appear and the smaller "Fertile Fields" in the main farm? There may be some other selections that can be used for size placement but it would help in keeping the positions correctly marked to avoid confusion when adjusting the actual farms.
Thanks in advance. Good work!
i download this but i don't know how do i use it.
please someone tell me how can i use it?
plzzzzz
Click the board to open gridmarks corresponding to the shape of your farm.
Click the building names to get pieces. Make sure you get the same number as the buildings on your farm. Drag them to the board and arrange them to your heart's content.
If you need to rotate a piece, drop it into the rotate block (yellow curved arrows).
Once you like the way you've arranged it, use it as a guide to move the buildings on your farm.
since we know the sizes of every building if anyone is still here please make a new one quick
