Lol, that is about what I feel when another gold update comes out. Some jealousy of the awesome things I cannot buy, I am not gonna worry about it, rather have fun with the game the way I can.
I'm considering putting the cats on a diet though, I want that wellspring :p

Also the new fields are not 1/2 smaller but just 1/3..might be a small issue but wasnt there posted that it would be half its size?

Half of 6x8 is really 6x4, so it ís half :)

I am very dissapointed about this update! We have nót asked for a decoration tower and it is utterly useless! Ok, you can see your decorations up close and I have finally found out what the black and white spot under the fairy tree is. It has done it's duty, can I bulldoze it now?

The fertile fields, well, gold for the goldplayers, dollars for the dollarplayers.

But with the way this update is implemented... I am cranky like a bear woken from hibernation! Problems with moving decorations out and in, problems with the graphics and the game is slow as thick poop through a funnel! And the chat problem is really irritating too. Type, press enter, cuss, click green arrow. And then click back into the type space, because you needed to say more than fitted in one part.
The blurry graphics are giving me a headache on top of my cranky mood!

I am usually patient with bugs that have to be stomped out with an update, but this was an update we didn't want or need and it comes with way too many BIG BUGS! Sorry GGS, but this is not nice.

whoops spoke too soon about the bug.cant put my decos back now.but seriously people take a pill or something.this is a bug not a terrorist attack and will most likely be solved by morning.worst case scenario,we wont be able to place any of our fake decos on our fake farms and will have to fork over more of our fake money for a little bit until the problem is solved.just breathe folks i can almost promise that no one will be harmed.

Thanks for the update GGS. Too bad about the bugs, but poop happens, good luck hunting :)

One thing though, i reserved some space on my farm in order to build/destroy buildings. For this event: an extra field, then an extra orchard, then an extra cowshed (maybe 2) etc. I couldn't build the orchard, so i rebuilt the field, but if this bug will be here long, i will possibly not be able to finish the event.

So i hope you can find it soon, or maybe offer some sort of compensation if it takes more time. Like make tasks easier, or the goldcost of the deco a bit cheaper or something. Cheers!

still to me cutting 1 of the sides in half doesnt make it worth to spend lots of gold in, since i heard it costs pretty much. hopefully the bugs get fixed soon and more non gold related updates without huge bugs that harm farms in progress ;/

im assuming the next update will be (along with all the bug fixes of coarse) an option that you can obtain dynamite from your mine to blow up the new building. now ild spend money for that.

In process of contacting US patent office for dynamite idea. Will let GGS purchase it from me for 1,000,000,000 gold once it is approved
In our co-op we've already discussed that the next fix needs to allow us to use our dung and fertilizer to take the building down

Also could someone plz explain to me why i would want to complete an event for a lower lvl happiness deco (on the news page talking about the next great (not) update). I've spent way to much time and $ trying to make sure I can fill my farms with the highest happiness per parcel I can. And please don't tell me its not to fill that ugly tower (unless upon filling it GGS will reward us with say 1,000,000 gold then i might consider it) I already am coming up with plans to bring it down

I propose that GGS change the name of the game to "Bug Farm"....

Anyone ever heard of this thing in the online game design world called a "SLOW rollout"???

I love the dynamite idea. Wonder if blowing up that stupid ugly tower would also bomb the bugs that came with it?

    Roaches be a flyin! lol.

this has got to be your worst attempt at an upgrade yet. another stupid building more glitches then I can count. instead of wasting our time with more stupid building give us a 4th farm work on that. all the time wasted on these crazy worthless upgrades you could have the 4th farm done. you want us to spend gold then give us something worth spending it on.

Most sensible suggestion I've heard yet. Are you listening, Management? Let your people do more of what they do well. If it ain't broke, for pete's sake don't fix it.

This is my main issue at the moment! So you made a deco tower to show me the decorations I don't have when i'm already well aware of whats missing. Not only that but there's now another massive building next to my farm thats completely ruined gameplay. Everything about the gameplay is laggy now including dragging farm, deco placement, harvesting.....its like i'm playing this game on a commodore 64! Please allow us the option of hiding the tower in village so that the game can run smoothly again.

Yeah, what gizmo said. I quite like the interior of the tower and I'd use it to look at decos up close, but I don't want it, or the library which I don't use, beside the farm. It would make a lot more sense to place them in the village, which is under-utilized anyway.

And whatever is using up all the memory and interfering with graphics and gameplay needs to be fixed pronto.

A couple of people have mentioned memory - my laptop keeps telling me I haven't got enough virtual memory when I put my farm on.... it started before this update though - is that what is happening to others?

The only thing I have noticed is the game gradually running slower and having to log out and clear flash and cache more often to fix this. This first started when they brought in the library. Now that deco tower is here this problem is a whole lot worse and clearing flash and cache does nothing to fix it. Constant lagging when dragging my farm and very slow item drops during harvests.

Moving decorations is shot to pieces. I can't put them back where they were. My running costs are now +124, from -48. Many graphics items appear blurry, lags are terrible, and nothing to do with cache. Whoever decided on the detour with this tower development instead of focusing on farm upgrades needs a new job.

Nice try GGS, starting an event just before the upgrade so people won't bug out after?? I'll check back tonight and if it isn't fully sorted, I'll consider finding a new game. Such a pity.

Remember that time that GG Studios made a game update that added nothing to an otherwise fun game and then the update ruined the game?

    Yeah, that was awesome.
  • edited 29.01.2014
I guess this update was targeted for high leveled players. :)

No, not targeted for us.. targeted AT us, in an attempt to get blood out of a stone.

Ahhh... Missions revamped... The Return of the King? or The Return of the Ragpicker? I wonder...

So long as the price is right... including the upgreeds.... sorry, upgrades...

Yes, it will double as a hitching post for your elephant when you find it.

I thought the "upgreeds" comment was funny. The "hitching post for your elephant" made me nearly fall off my chair. We have a Stewart or Colbert here!

Horrible the new building. NO added value and wast of time in designing. It a mess next to my farm. USELESS.
BACK TO THE CORE BUSINESS< FARMING< please. I agree with comment given "give us a 4th farm work on that. all the time wasted on these crazy worthless upgrades you could have the 4th farm done"
If this goes on you will loss customers, dummies.

Lagging is becoming a real drag. I see it's not just me.

    Admins....
There comes a time when you really need to sit back and say to yourselves,

This was a mistake. Lets undo it and go back to the drawing board.

Lets add a big wrecking ball to the game ok?

Is there any function to the tower except displaying information for decorations?

I think the marketers have excelled themselves with this update. The grasping has finally gone beyond the realms of decency.

The fertile fields are delightful, having an appealing appearance, taking up half the space, and being potentially twice as productive - at a monster price. Who would not love to have them? Hardly anyone! And who will actually get them? A tiny few.

In the last six months there have been some marvellously bad contenders for the worst update award, such as the blue barns, but this one wins, indisputably.

I might have missed it being said somewhere, so I might be wrong, but I don't think the deco tower's decorations count towards the happiness on your farm... So wtf is the point of it?
