Well, I hadn't unlocked them some time ago, but I was thinking to myself that surely I have had way too many expansions "unlocked" already...

How about adding some adversity to the game, to pull co-ops and communities together... a hurricane perhaps? a drought? a fox in the hen house? Farming shouldn't be this easy.

Yes I think I'm about ready to give up. I have no more tasks except the endlessly repeating low-reward main farm tasks, and spending $20m on an upgrade so I can earn that $20m back at about $100k a day (that's about six months).

Actually, I have thought and thought and still not understood how on earth is it possible to earn only $100k a day at level 71 when there are no more tasks left? After all, just one 30-min soap box gives already $60k...

I think they mean the $20M for the final flower shop upgrade. Would increase honey cream by about $100k per day if they only did one per day

To get back on topic, what motivated me to keep playing was getting the next upgrade a new piece of land completing an event. I guess just finishing someting that was a challenge working towards a very difficult goal like getting millions to buy that new piece of land or upgrade completing it and feeling satified about it.

Now after playing this game from day one it was released, having finished every thing on all farms about 3 months ago i am struggling to keep playing. There are no challenges no goals to work for and events are becoming repetitive.

The only thing now that keeps me here is the fact that i don't want to give up all my hard work. Hoping the new farm will be released soon. And the changes that have been talked about by staff are interesting enough to give me a new boost.

I just finished the last task on flower farm... I guess I'll wait to see if there's going to be anything new in new future.

I don't know about here but on the French server, we have "travellers".
They are usually players of very high level, travelling from co-op, to co-op to help the ones in need (mostly for the challenges) and meet new people. They can stay for a few hours or a few days, depending on what they want to do.

My farm on the French server is level 86 and I am also quite bored there.
I am the leader of my co-op and we are very good friends. We talk more about our lives than the game :-P
But I also started a new farm on the international server, to keep me busy and rediscover the game I started almost a year ago.

I love the concept of travelers and it fascinates me that people even thought about doing that! :D

Personally, I stay interested because I've got my farm set up so that I can run it as a background thing while I do other stuff. I'm not overly ambitious with it however and I'm really laid back when it comes to visits from the Architect. I'm upgrading things to that level slowly - it doesn't bother me if I miss him or not. :)

I'm really wanting the Gourmet farm revamp to be introduced quickly though, that's really got me curious. :D

Yes, me too, Kat, especially as I've done all of the side quests for the Gourmet Farm now. The Gourmet farm is the weak link out of the three farms, as far as I'm concerned, so a revamp will be welcome.

Yes, now that I have thought it over, I agree that gourmet farm could use some revamping. For example, which other processing facility besides dairy has the max time you can set it at under 4 hours? Very annoying for putting it to work "overnight".

The quoted post was made several months ago, but I just discovered it. As someone who isn't part of a co-op and isn't sure I want to be, I am very intrigued by the idea of travellers and would like to learn more about it. Not that I'm at a high level yet, but it's the sort of thing I might be interested in at some point. Does anyone have details as to how this works?

I think you will need to make your own rules. You know how you can join a co-op and leave again, right? So you pick a co-op that may need your help, stay in there to finish a project or donate some towards a research and when the co-op is doing well enough you leave again to find another co-op that needs your help. You can also provide them with info on how to run the co-op or help them recruit. I think you will have to look for co-ops that would need your help yourself - am not really familiar with how to find them.

Thanks for the reply, Larino. I know I'm not anywhere near ready for something like that yet, as my own farms all have much work to do on them. But I was hoping someone with experience with this "traveller" concept might have more information to share on how it works.

I think there aren't many French players on these forums as they have their own forum :) Maybe you can try to send Nathalie a private message, maybe she is still playing :)

I could use a traveler. I'm trying to run my co-op, but I didn't recruit well the first time and a bunch of people left the game (probably because of the missions) without leaving the co-op, so I'm going to have to clean house on Monday and start recruiting again. I don't know much about running a co-op though. This is my first time being in charge of a collective. I have been a deputy twice on other games that had collectives, but it's a little different being in charge.

Pinjo, if you wanted to practice on my co-op, I'd love the help. Advice is more what I need at the moment anyway since I haven't actually gotten the new members yet.

Don't think you mean me ;) I am not playing on the right server and am happy with the coop i am in at this moment. If there will be a time for me to travel around, the coop i am helping really does need the help.

And no haven't seen a traveller in the WWW server yet and really don't know if there are any.

You sure got that right - it's a lot different being in charge! And I admire anyone willing to step up to the plate and lead a co-op. I think for a lot of people, it's a learning experience.

Thank you for the kind offer! I'm pretty sure you're at a higher level than I am (I've just barely reached level 61) so I very much doubt I have any useful advice to offer you. Or anyone else, at this point! As I said, I'm still developing my farms and have a long way to go myself. I'm sure I have much to learn from you and others who are more advanced. But I do like the traveller idea, and might aspire to such a role someday.

I don't have experience with running a co-op, but I am a moderator on another gaming forum (Sims 3) and if you think that experience might be useful to you, feel free to send me a message here or in the game, as we are on the same server. And good luck with your co-op! I suspect a lot of co-ops go through growing pains as the leaders figure out what works and what doesn't, so don't let the setbacks discourage you. I know from seeing your posts in this forum that you are helpful and friendly, both important qualities in a leader. :)

I am pretty much a "traveler" of sorts on the EN and AU servers.
I have been playing this game for so long and since the work of my co-op on the US server is easier with my 6 wonderful deputies, I have more time to do work on the other servers.

What I do on the other servers is join a low level co-op, normally under level 15. And I help out in the co-op, help them become a better co-op, teach them tips about to make a successful co-op. Give them advice on how to make there farms even better. Stuff like that.
I am not a very high level on those farms either, 32 on EN and 41 on AU. But I help as best as I can, mostly just giving advice.
Depending on how much the co-op wants to listen to me, I may only stay a few days, or few weeks. But either way it is a great way to meet new people, and since I love to help out people it is even better.

And Wildcard, if you need some advice on how to run a co-op, I would be happy to give you some, I can't leave my co-op to help, but I would be happy to give you some help Via messages. Feel free to contact me here o the forums, or in-game.

Oh, okay. Yeah, I'm level 73 and rising quick. But if you wanted to park with my co-op while you get situated, I wouldn't mind whatever project help you can contribute while you fix yourself up. Idk how much time you've spent in a co-op, but it might help you in your traveler future.

Leading is leading and that's the part I'm having trouble with. I've avoided those positions for most of my life because I was always worried other people would end up paying for my mistakes. Now I'm trying to get over that fear and take the reigns. So yeah, any leadership advice you can offer, even just watching what I'm doing and letting me know if there's a better way to do things, that would totally help me out. I have been practicing, but every little bit counts.

Thanks, Pinjo. I do my best. It helps I've been studying the successful and unsuccessful leaders in my everyday life for several years now, trying to learn what to do and what not to do. I've noticed the best leaders don't tell people what to do so much as help everyone coordinate for the common good. ;)

Thanks, SuperSpaceGirl. I think I'll take you up on that. I've found the more sources I have, the easier it is to tell what advice is good, bad and best for me.

Haha, you used Pinjo again ^^ It's Pingo - one letter difference, but they both exist :P I'm sorry, I'm just messing with you.

In all my years as a leader (just 1.5 or actually since January last year :P) I still have a lot of things of which I have no clue how to do them. But still I think I can say I am experienced enough to help other leaders. So if you have any leader questions on situations of which you do not know how to handle them, just send me a message. I do not think there is a correct way of leading a co-op. Everybody has his own ways and there may be room for improvement, but there is no wrong or right. So yeah, any time you need tips or opinions, I will try my best to answer ^^

Lol, sorry about that Pingo. Yeah, I'm called Wildcat all the time for some reason. I guess I seem more like a cat than a card. It's better than what I was called back when I was Darkwinter.

Thanks Larino. I think I'll take you up on that. Agueda things very highly of you.

Hands down, it's my cooperative. We have grown into a little virtual family and I go online every day to see how they are doing. It's like having real-time pen-pals :)

My co-op had a "traveller" of sorts join us a while ago. He didn't tell us anything much at the beginning, just seemed really knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He was super chatty and helpful to our newer players, we all thought we'd bagged a good one!

Then a few days later he sent a group message saying he was moving on to a co-op that needed more help than we did. He said we knew what we were doing and he liked to join co-ops that needed guidance, to help them grow.

I looked the player up after that and he had joined a much lower level co-op. This player was in the 90's level-wise at the time.

I think I know who it is but I am just trying to confirm with other co-op members so I don't just give you a random name. I'll PM it to you once I talk to them.
