Yes, but it is a nice balance of long and short time tasks--I am not anxious to keep the mill running constantly with chicken feed nonstop. I think it will be ok ;)

Is there any step in this event where we need mill ?

there are lots of empty spaces on the spreadsheets -- I am not sure. It really depends on your schedule and where you are at in the event and your inventory. Personally, I would not upgrade the mill during an event-especially a new event.

Task 3 we'll need cow feed, but if you have at least 13 in stock, you mightn't need the mill, I haven't heard what the last 2 tasks are yet

one of the tasks is to collect apples--lots of poop is needed for apples. There IS a lot of time left in the event though.

Just managed to feed the cows before going to bed, so that's worked out nicely :) I've built two temporary cow byres which will reduce the task time by half. Happiness is 259% lol!

It is a shame that the happiness for the 5x5 crop circle is only 36.... would have loved to replace a thicket with a crop circle decoration... but it makes lower happiness :(

OOOh i am liking the 4x3 deco 'mysterious relic' i am finding lots of little unused spaces on the flower and resturant farms to use that one ;)
and the crop circle looks so cool! I don't mind to build a few for variety and then put them in storage if my profits are going bad.

    x2

This needs to be addressed. With the new upgrades available, we all need more workers which reduces happiness. So, it would only make sense to have new decorations that help offset the negative effects of more houses or upgraded houses. While I think the crop circles are a nice looking decoration, it is not a smart investment of your 5 x 5 space.

Yeah, I'm disappointed too; I had really wanted to plaster my farms with crop circles just for the silliness... :-/

Me too! I had one annoying 8x3 space that is now neatly filled with a pair of relics, for 5 happiness more than the wagon that had been there! :)

No, I don't think this does need to be addressed, since it is already addressing a different problem. The crop circle is a mid-range decoration available at level 34, and it is highly suitable for players at that level who still have 13 levels to go before they can buy lakes. If the crop circle doesn't suit your needs, then how about buying a telescope instead?

So i think if we have the money and all ready we can finish the mill upgrade before the necessary task.

I finally did the math on how long feeding my cows was going to take, and realized it was going to take only half an hour less than my mill upgrade, so since I won't be spending all week building decorations after all, I just started that instead, right after my first round of cow-feeding. Huzzah for a level 5 mill at long last! :)

One possible reason for the lower happiness on the crop circle is that it has such a low profile. so for those that have difficulty seeing behind the thicket, the crop circle is a possible replacement. Personally I am not likely to build one, but I do like how they look.

I also really like the look of the relic, I did build one on my flower farm just to have :)

    Strategy

Growing special corn with humus is the quickest way of completing task 1 although since it's a quick task anyway, if you do not have much humus, it may not be worth it.

Consider building temporary byres and associated housing for task 3, supply byres with feed.

Build up stocks of fertiliser, consider building temporary apple orchards and have them ready to harvest for task 5, collect apples.

For those who have little space and/or little money : store just enough decorations to build an extra cowshed for step 3 and leave it on your farm for step 4. After finishing step 4 (or nearing the end of step 4) demolish the cowshed and build an apple orchard on the free space. Leave this orchard for step 6 also ( I assume it will help in step 6 but I have not yet gotten that far). After the event demolish the orchard and (if build) the extra house.
On avarage you get one day per step and finishing early has no extra bonus, so there is no need to spend tons of money in building more than one temporary cowshed and/or apple orchard.

I noticed that the chart ends data collection at level 18 and above. I just started another farm on a different server and started this event a few hours ago when i made it to level 15 (same level as the cow barn introduced). I will provide screenshot rather than writing out the data. I have tried a few times to give the details and i mess it up.

    first 2 tasks. ;)

On new events I always fear that I won't be able to complete them so I like to get the tasks done as quickly as possible in case there's a really slow/long one in future. The last task seems like it's a long one - it's going to take me two days and I'm out tomorrow, so I'm glad that I've raced ahead and taken the pressure off.

I will build temporary buildings because I don't generally play on the weekends so I like to try and finish before then. And it would be a good strategy for those who don't play as much to help.

Since I don't see the level 55+ reward for the last task in the spreadsheet yet, that's 150 XP.

For the average player with the average number of fields, orchards, and buildings for their level, this is absolutely true...

...and this is excellent advice for those who have fewer than the average number of fields, orchards, and buildings for their level, in addition to those who have other reasons for wanting to complete the event early.
