Hi there. im fairly new to the game and when looking at other peoples farms i noticed that some have more than one. do you have to be a certain level for this or is there a certain way to do it?

At level 20 you unlock the Gourmet Farm for Gold, and at Level 25 for Dollars.
At level 35 you unlock the Flower Farm for Gold, and at level 40 for Dollars.

Don't worry about buying extra farms as soon as you meet the farm requirements. Once you reach those levels you may wish to save your dollars to expand your main farm or upgrade stuff (Each upgrade and expansion costs more each time).

    +1

Concentrate on your main farm as, like All4Fun said, upgrades and expansions are expensive. For instance, you'll have to level up your Mill once you reach level 34 for ONLY $1M. LOL I'm currently level 37 and I've just started to slowly get some work done on the Gourmet Farm and as for the Flower Farm, it's not even in my plans for the near future. I've seen a lot of players spread out their resources and money way too thin because they played both farms. End result, neither one is running efficiently, nor running at its full potential. Come and visit my farm... you'll see what I mean.

    Good luck!

I have to add, that even if you don't decide to expand or develop your gourmet or flower farms right away, you should still buy them as soon as you can. Even without development but just a few decorations you can make extra money pretty quickly, they more than pay for themselves in less than a week.

I found that when you buy the new farms, the first getting you started bits are fairly cheap with the quest lines that go with them. Once I had got the very basics up and running dont even think I had a meadow on the flower farm just the shop, as this used ingredients from the second farm I just used this as a little extra income then gradually built up.
