How much of a benefit is the workshop??

Previously I was not planning on purchasing the workshop since I don't buy gold and the price for level 1 was too high. However, with the initial cost being reduced I was wondering how beneficial people have found it.

I know the water tower is, in my opinion, the best thing to spend gold on, feed and fertilizer being the 2 bottlenecks on the main farm. But is it really that helpful to reduce the amount of produce needed. Corn by 1 or 2, cabbage by 2 or 3 and wheat by 3 or 4 per 10 bags of feed?? Or dung by around 10?? It must be taken into account that I will not be able to upgrade the workshop to level 2. Up until this point and into the foreseeable future I have no problems keeping the windmill and silo running constantly, so I don't see a real need for the workshop, but wanted the opinion of those who have purchased it.

i have it and i think it is kinda useless, especially with the special seeds fromt he nursery now. i would consider using the gold on the nursery so it uses less water :)

Back when I was level 30, the reduction in dung for fertilizer was a HUGE help to me since I didn't have as many stables as I do now as a level 77. I have about 40k dung at the moment and the only way to run out of that now is to constantly make 400 bags of fert. Don't need the workshop anymore. :S

I just got the Workshop at the new, greatly reduced price and I love it! It has already made a big difference in savings for me in the supplies I need to use, especially the dung. It suits my style of playing very well. I, for one, would highly recommend getting one, if you can. :)

I think after I get the last expansion on the main farm--(OMG 2 more still!)--I think I will get at least a level 1 now that the price is within reach. We'll see how it goes, lots of other things continue to take precedence on the resturant and flower farms and always keeping enough in the bank to put Steve to work. I don't really have room for it yet anyway, so yep expansions first, then the workshop :)
