mission reputation points

when you sign up for a mission, you are told it will cost you a certain number of reputation points. I believe they are deducted from what you 'win' at the end of the mission. What happens when you drop out shortly after the mission begins? Are these points taken off from any points you have accumulated in previous missions?

nana28282, Yes. And that is the way that many people lower their reputation point scores so that they can get into missions with lower level players who don't use as much gold. They enter & drop out over & over until they get under 100 points, where it is easier. But, the points, both Reputation & experience are lower when you win. So it's a tradeoff. The money you win is also less in under 100 point missions. : )

Yes, if you drop out you will just lose the reputations points you are paying for that particular mission and no other missions are counted. Many people use the strategy Zitella described above, including me (if I ever do missions).

thanks. Good to know...though with over 3200 points, it would take a while to get under 100 :)

Why? Just register and quit immediately. Pick the missions that require high RP. You will have dropped in seconds ^^

thanks for the advice. I just actually wanted to know if points are deducted when people drop out, since I often see it happen during the missions, and yet it is with people who actually are quite competitive and are trying to win...and then when they start falling behind, they suddenly drop out
Anyway, thanks all, I already have my answer :)

Y...yeah. Just wanted to add, they are quite stupid. Doesn't matter where you end up, you will get at least some XP and dollars (but lose RP). If you drop out you will solely lose RP. What would you rather have?

But I think they do it because the top players will get less RP, as the full prize will only be given on a full group. The more people leave, the lower the prize for the top players will be :)

Open the multiplayer tab - 3 people
    then Missions - rosette
You will see the league table but your RP are at the top left
    or

Open the multiplayer tab - 3 people
    The Ranking - a podium
Again a league table is shown, with you centralised, but by default it shows your rank by XPl. But near the top right you can change it to RP

    or

top left of the Mission window

Sometimes my computer suddenly gets really slow.. When i log out and then in again, its fixed. But what if i do that while im in a mission? Is it the same as quitting the mission, or am i still participating when i log in again?

No, you'll be fine. You will still be in the Mission

Lots of people drop out during missions when they realise they are up against a gold user. Its pointless to even try and compete with someone thats constantly skipping by using gold especially when the reward is a couple of thousand dollars and a few reputation points!
