I'm on task 4/6 to 'Find Cherry Blossoms'. I clicked the compass to see how to collect them, and it directed me to the apple orchard. I started a production of apples, and when it came to the end, there was nothing to collect.

Does anyone know how to collect the cherry blossoms for this task?
You have a CHANCE of getting 80 blossoms per apple orchard and 200 per cherry orchard. I does suck when that chance doesn't come through.

Aly, You can get cheery blossoms from apple orchards and cheery orchars. The chance of getting them is random.

Apple gives 80 per harvest while cherry gives 200 per harvest.

The count also varies, I got 120 at the last time in my apple harvest, which also finishes the task for me.

Fingers crossed! We took advantage of the great weather and went away for a night and ofcourse most of the 2 days too, so both my friend from the States who's here and me are behind on the event.
Making cabbage like crazy now and saving up fertilizer for the orchards for the next task.

I upped to level 16 last night and got the Asia Event. So I'm guessing 16 is the lowest level where you get the event.

Task 1: Collect 30 fertilizer and begin production of 1x cherries
Reward: 3x Rice Seed and 50 Premium Chicken Feed

Also; hello! My first post on the forum.

OK I'm a little sad and disappointed. I'm level 48, currently at task 6. I have to find 1000 origami crane birds. I've just harvested 6 corn fields 3 times in a row which is 18 and found only 1 bird. After that I've collected from silo and chicken coops (I have 4 of them) and got nothing. I'm not worried about me, I'm very active and there is still 3 days left. But what about players which are still at task 4. Most of us work, go to school, bla-bla...don't have much time for games. It's pretty hard to find those birds if you ask me :/

Love the events but if I have to sit 8 hours daily in front of PC to accomplish the tasks pfff...not very good.

At level 32, I got $6,000, NOT $60,000 - for sure. I double checked when the post above mine was so much higher

us1 farm--I got to the paper cranes this morning and nearly half way through it. I am planting mostly corn and making chicken feed. I planted a few cabbages and wheat just to see--I think it is easier just to continue with corn and chicken feed.

www1 farm--about half through task 5. I think i can finish tonight and start the cranes tomorrow.

You're doing well Monica :) - yes Milling chicken feed is by far and away the best way to get cranes - you get at least double the amount of the next highest crop/harvest, and since you've got the feed, it makes sense to keep the coops producing dung for the silo which is another reasonable source of cranes. If you want a more relaxed play, mill cabbage, feed pigs, run silo. Running the chicken feed production line gave me ~70 cranes per hour. If you hit a corn storage/milling constraint, sow Rice or flowers. If you hit a chicken feed storage/use constraint, mill cabbage.

As ever, I've worked it all out, see the stats in my sig.

Was it you who liked the Japanese ink wash cow ? I grabbed a copy if you'd like it :) -

I think i will just keep on my path--it is working for me and after making all that pig feed for task 5, still nearly full.

    Can u help me? I'm level 13

Sadly, meo12345, it looks like you may not get to participate in this event unless you level up to 16 pretty quickly. In the previous theme events like this one, people who reached the starting level in the last day or two did not get to begin. The tasks are set to be fairly challenging at each level, though, so getting all the way through with this late a start won't be easy at all.

I just hit 500 [cranes] after my morning four hours.

Ok, that sounds pretty promising, then. My level 54/55 farm only got 320 cranes in the first four hours, and my level 56 farm took longer still to get that many.

The mill running chicken feed was hands-down the best provider for me on both farms, and all the processing buildings did better with multi-runs than single. I got almost nothing from fields (except from roses), coops, and sties, a grand total of 4 cranes from all orchard harvests combined, and never saw a single one from any cowshed harvest on either farm.

    EDIT:
[Deleted incorrect reply to ana_maria due to Mae Anne's positive confirmation.]

    Let me amend this:
For absolute certain the hover-over "Reward" text showed $6,000. I am somewhat less certain about what I got when I clicked "I want it!" because I wasn't paying attention to make sure it matched the promised reward.

lol! OK, glad you liked it montuos - it makes me laugh, it's just so wrong ! I don't know how a Japanese ink wash artist would have drawn it, but not, I suspect, like that ! :)

Yup; it amused me for just the same reason! ;D Although I believe it's supposed to look like our inexpert BF residents faking the style using local subjects; doesn't that look like the front of a level 3 barn in the background?

These, though, are far more representative of the style:

I had pretty good luck with wheat - but I had it planted over night and got it first thing when I logged in this morning. Still, it's random so my good luck might not be an indication.

We just have to wait and see bear. GGS doesn't release the Event timetable ahead of time unless it's a new Event and even then it's not always guaranteed to start when the update is completed.

question: I see on the spreadsheet that no matter the players' level, must find 1000 origami. but, the reward in experience varies, from 90 to 180. how is that fair? 1000 origami for all, but only half XP if you are low in the game?

based of past events, there should be less origamis to find at lower levels! or give 180 XP to all of us :)

Maria, I think, its 60K only... Since every other is like that.
Level 27 gets a reward of 45K. I fyou notice the cash reward for task 5 is same as that of task 3.
