1, 2, 3 is part of the TOP 100 or begins the TOP 100 with 4, 5, 6,
maybe there was a mistake in the translation that made it unclear
i'm on the us server and i though it was very clear how the prizes where divided
and it clearly said:
Top 3 will receive the charity fountain decoration
Top 100 will receive the 140 rose seeds + super humus + super pig feed
the rest gets 70 rose seeds
This means in my opinion that the top 3 should get the 140 rose seeds and stuff as well.
Cause top 3 is part of the top 100
Logic would also dictate that they paid more than the required amount for the rose seeds, so they are entitled to that as well. In fact, the top 3 qualify for all of the possible prizes.
Either give the top 3 the prizes, or clarify this for future charity drives.
I was very disappointed about de answer of the board Moderator
Wonder why they do it like this. ?? I think it would be a lot easier to get people to spend money the next time around if the game were known to treat winners well...not like this !Its a shame really !!
It is the worst managerial decision to cheat and disappoint precisely the players contributing the most with their dollars, normally at this level of donations gained with lot of gold = REAL money.
Announcing the Top 100 donations will get a special reward and giving it to only 97 - this difference is illegal.
Saying that donations for 3,000 points will guarantee 70 roses seeds - no matter of final ranking - and not giving them to 3 players on each server, even they donated dollars for much more points than 3,000 it is also illegal.
In business terms, like this game is for developers, the moment I charged 1 dollar in this game, I was changing the status from player to CLIENT. And I am a very disappointed client. Because I feel cheated, for the reasons mentioned above. I am not the only one.
Technically doesn't it go from #4 to #103? That's what I was of the understanding that they did for the "Top 100". I'm not saying it's right though, but they did technically reward 100 players.
Also, I honestly find Lizzy's response above to be totally unsatisfactory. She (I assume it is a she) has not addressed the underlying concern of the query, which is clearly the fact that someone in the top 3 was not getting the top 100 prize. Saying "if you are the top 3 it shows what your gift will be and it shows you only receive the decoration for being in the top 3" does not address the fact that the charity drive was organized on misleading wording at all. Her response is like saying "oh, you did not read the fine print, that is your own fault" when the fine print contains a logical contradiction that you could not follow in the first place.

I can't find where it's disappeared to. But the purpose of the thread (titled something like "Clarification of Orphanage Donation") was to have the rules verified and clear, so everyone knew what they were getting into before they started spending big $$'s.
Anyhoo, it's over now. Not much can be done until the next one.
It's like competing in a marathon where the Top 100 gets paid and the Top 3 gets medals ... and then refusing to pay the Top 3.
It is false advertising, illegal and makes no sense!
Please correct this, else you will find a lot of players refraining from participating to their full capacity.
For places from 4 place to 100 place would be correct reward 210 roses seed,70 humus and 700 pig feed.
And for 3000 points the reward is 70 roses seed.
This is my opinion and it would be proper.
The reward details is :
The reward for everybody has minimum 3,000 points is 70 roses seed
The special reward for the top 100 is 140 roses seed, 70 super humus and 700 super pig feed
The special reward for the top 3 is the wellspring
So for everyone who has minimum 3,000 points must be receive 70 roses seed.
The top 100 must be receive :
minimum 3,000 points = 70 roses seed
special reward for top 100 = 140 roses seed, 70 super humus and 700 super pig feed
The top 3 must be receive :
minimum 3,000 points = 70 roses seed
special reward for top 100 = 140 roses seed, 70 super humus and 700 super pig feed
special reward for top 3 = the wellspring
It's not fair they are donated very much especially for the top 3 - They must be get all reward by the conditions. This issue must be resolved properly and fairly.
My english is also poor, but as i read this text i have no doubt the top contributors/donators SHOULD get ALL the prizes....I really agree with the above here...
I cant get it into my head why the developers are making decicions that will clearly put everybody off donating more then the minimum next time. I thought they were running a business here !!All businesses depend on happy clients and a good reputation. This will provide the opposite...Of course !
They should be rewarded or REWARD NOW
Sure, it's just a game! But they deliberately had the orphanage project running at the same time that you could swap gold for cash, so clearly that would entice people to use paid for gold to build more cash! Yes, I am all for the game supporting itself by the sale of gold and find the prices reasonable!
However, this is clearly a miscommunication to most players and I think that it should be rectified and that anyone in the top 3 should get all prizes ALSO that the players in the top 100 should also be entitled to the extra 70 rose seeds.
This is a massive oversight from the games management!
Having had a read through this thread i can see that there has obviously been some confusion because of the wording as to what prizes should be awarded for each position. I've spoken with Latten and we will talk with the development team to see what changes can be made to the text to try and make it clearer to understand.
Thank you all for your feedback!

Malreyn
Thank you for your response! With due respect, and as was pointed out already several times, the problem wasn't just people being confused GGS's wording for the prizes. That confusion was totally justifiable. The problem was that GGS was using an extremely unclear way of describing the prizes that contradicts ordinary understanding of terms like "Top 100". When people acted on an ordinary understanding of that wording (as apparently no clarification was given until late into the challenge of how the prizes would work), for them to not get what they could have reasonably expected from the charity drive is where the problem arose.
Saying "The Top 100" would reasonably suggest that it would also include the Top 3, and both the top 100 (however construed) and the top 3 would have to have made the minimum threshold for the most basic prize. It's not unreasonable to think that this was the case, and if people went into the challenge on these reasonable expectations then it is actually unfair (I wouldn't go so far as some people to say illegal, but at the very least unfair) that they did not get those prizes, since GGS was using a non-conventional understanding of the top 100 without any clarification.
As a suggestion, for next time perhaps the challenge could be done in some way so that either there is an example included (i.e. actually say "The top 3 will receive [these specific things] only"), or have some tracking thing where each contributor can see exactly what they will win. I know there's something like that now when it says "Your prize" and there's a picture, but that is contradicting the wording, which most people I presume would be working off for determining their prizes. Having a more transparent process of prize determination would alleviate this problem in the future.
I think the problem lies in not the tracking thing, or the wording, but the combination of the tracking thing AND the wording appearing to be inconsistent.
