:p what do you like most about this game?

:p as there has been a bit of negativity about game of late, especially gold use (some from me) i thought it was time to discuss what we actually like and enjoy about the game,
#1 what is your most favourite bit about the game
#2 what about the game you enjoy the most
#3 what would you like to have implemented into the game to increase your enjoyment of playing
#4 if you could have additionall decorations , what would you like to have

for me i like the challenge of the game, the different tasks and trying to get them all done without going backwards, i would like to have a greater amount of $decorations that are colourfull, as diiscussed before, perhaps a dog + dog kennel, scarecrow etc. I would like to have another choice of $ value housing, once again just to bring some variety into game, having lots of things the same is boring. :p

    1) i like to grow and grow.
    2) Its non-agressive, just a relaxed build-game.
    3) A bit more different crops, with more different grow times perhaps, being able to build on 2 or 3 sites at once. Maybe a machinery barn with tracktors/combines which gives a bonus on crops harvest?
    4) Different flower fields, or upgradeble. Some smaller ones like 3x3 or 2x2. More collectable "specials" like the birdhouse

i would love to have a lot more variety of decorations available as well, especially the $ variety. some with 2x3 and 2x4 lengths. i would love to have some park benches, love to have a kennel with a dog to travel around farm with the workers,
like lord shivan i also would like different crops available as well. we go from 2 min, 5min, 45min then 6 hours. it would be good to have something around 2 hour and 3 hour timeslots for those people that come and go in the game.

1.) I like the management feel of the game. The game forces you to make decisions that sometimes require you to sacrifice one thing for the other which makes it much more realistic.

2.) You can play this game as a multi-player or single player game. The game does not force you to play the multi-player part if you don't want to.

3.) I would GGS to implement a similar system of missions that the co-ops have available but for single player experience. I feel like I'm missing out on the co-op missions but I'm not really interested in joining a co-op or being committed to one.

4.)I would rather have the option to buy a decoration slot (4x4, 4x5, 3x6, etc) with a happiness level and then have the ability to choose what decoration i can place in it.

I know some people think it's a bit slow (and expensive) at higher levels but I really enjoy the pace of this game. It forces you to take a step back and let the game breathe for a bit. I'm actually glad it slows down a bit because I can take my time planning what and when to upgrade and I can also revise my layout changes for upcoming expansions. With that said I really wish the game had some kind of editor mode where you can look at your farm from a top-down view so that you can easily rearrange your layout and plan for changes.

1)my favorite thing is the awesome people who play this game and who let me be a part of the awesomeness (thanks guys :):):):):):))
2)I play a lot of shooting games so this is a nice change of pace to my day:):):)
3)like the others said I would like more crops
    4) I would like to add a flag pole to the game in which if you didn't feel comfortable with putting your countries flag you can place a flag designed by your co-op leader:):):):):)

I feel like i am more likely to hear of news IF and when the other farm game will be restarted. I miss it.

This one lacks individual style since the decorations are so closely tied to profits. I am not that fond of the icecream carts, but i still have like 4 of them on my main farm and i have 3 in storage. The resturant farm looks great with icecream carts all over since it is a eating theme farm, but that many on the main farm looks silly. I am not that impressed with the lake either, since they take up so much space.

Lois, this is a great thread idea... thanks! :)

I really like the different themes of the farms and how they all interconnect with each other on some level. I love the strategy required too - getting your farms to run as efficiently as possible by juggling the happiness level with production facilities and fitting everything in together with as few spaces as possible. The length of time things take to build, produce and grow is another positive also. It allows me to fit it in with other things I need to get done.

While there are some things that could use a bit of a tweak, over all, it's a big Well Done to the GGS teams for planning and implementation.

Btw Monica, I think you misread the theme of the thread. :p

No i think i read it correctly--i am just playing this game to stay close connected to hear when the other farm game is getting started. I like this one--but I LOVE the other farm game. This one lacks individual creativity, because we have to have mega decos to stay profitable.

I love that this game is challenging and you have to be patient, make decisions to balance happiness, growth, design and profit. There's always something happening. I love that the newer farms interact with the first farm. I think the graphics are cute. I love that you can play singularly or with a group. And I especially love that it is not an aggressive game - you are not battling others and harming/destroying any of their hard work. I enjoy the challenges, missions [wish times were more suitable to aussies].
Collecting easter eggs was fun, I'd like to see more of that kind of challenge. I'd like to see more options with decorations, I end up with too many of the same and I don't like the overall way my farm looks. I like the previous suggestions that you buy a decoration space, and then you can upgrade that to increase happiness and choose the decoration you want on there.
For the forum, I would like to see a like button [like facebook] so you can like someone else's post.
I find that overall there is a good balance for me in spending gold - I'm happy to spend a reasonable amount of gold, but I hate to waste it. I felt that I have wasted it on the previous charity drive as instructions weren't clear, but that has now been rectified - thank you! Clear instructions are so important, and I don't find that the instructions always give enough information eg research projects and also some of the extra challenges and what the reward actually is. As a newbie a reward of - a time with a blue star next to it with a picture of a process, meant nothing to me and I had to research it. A pop up explanation that tells me that for every apple orchard harvested I will get an extra experience point for 4 days clears everything up. More clearer explanations would be really helpful.
I have played every day since beginning this time, mostly logging on a few times a day. That isn't likely to change as this game is awesome.

Thanks Lois this is a great discussion starter.

1, The strategy. I love to plan and work out what to build or grow and where to put this or that.

2, The complexity. This game takes a lot of planning. With the third farm and only one build slot it makes the game that much more complex. I love how it all fits in together, I love how you can run the farms singularly or combined. With the flower farm , even the wild flowers come into more action, instead of just being a means to make money when you have none, now they make bouquets to give even more money.

3, As some have already said more crops, that could be used in the restaurant. And roses to be used in the flower farm not necessarily the red roses but pink or white roses to grow in the meadow and then build into bouquets or turned into oils.

4, I really want a dog kennel with a puppy to run around the farm freely or attaching itself to one of the workers, just like a puppy would do. like the cook as she would be smelling of food and more than likely feeds it, so it would follow her everywhere.

Monica the post is positivity .... what do you like most about this game?

Geez-as i have stated 2 other times: to keep connected so that when the other farm game starts--I am soon to hear of it and i can start it up as soon as it is ready. I didn't know i had to sugarcoat it. The original post asked Why we like this game and i gave my honest answer.

i would love to have different houses available please, having everything the same takes away from the game, would also love to have different animals as well. perhaps sheep, ducks etc.
love to play the game every day, puts a smile on my face. also like the forum, love catching up on people and being blown away how helpfull peopke are, especially those who work out math formulas from land values to deco happiness per square to value of produce, the people on this game that help and chat are a big part of why i come back every day. :)

i would like to have a bigger variety of things to do for all the different times you log in. sometimes i can play for 1 - 2 hours at a time non stop, and only doing corn and chickens, with occasional cabbage, and hitting bludgers over head to get money bags. so it would be nice to have a lot of different things to do in that time bracket. other times we come and go, so need something else in 2-3 hour production slots. other times when you know you cant get back for 6-8 hours there is heaps to do in this time slot.
i would also like different houses made available as well ( great idea) also i still want a puppy dog to run around farm, there could be different kennels available at different happiness levels.
love the game, as there is no violence ( apart from gold use debate ) also like the interaction between people on the forum with discussions like this. the ideas people come up with is fantastic'
the strategy involved in this game changes the higher you go up in levels, and deciding if and when you do side pannel tasks and how they can affect the game in play is sometimes brilliant and other times making you frustrated that you have done the wrong thing at the wrong time
    great game

    Hi Monica,

I assume here that you are talking about Goodgame Farmer. Unfortunately it will not be coming back, it's gone for good. Has someone told you that it would be coming back? If so they have given you the wrong information i'm afraid!

    Regards,
    Malreyn

i hope some of these ideas could be looked at, the idea about some different houses sounds good, as well as additional crops, these could be new recipes for gourmet farm, etc.
loved the idea about different animals. ( if we could have additional cow stables to have the ability to sell cows like the pigs)
different sized and new decorations for happiness is also a fantastic idea.
the mission times with a lot of different ones available throughout the day, so people dont have to hang around 6 of 12 hours. i havent done any for a looooong time (after 1st week of play) because there havent been any when i have the time to sit down for extended periods, i come and go a few times during day and at night for me there is none available that i can do. so lots more every hour or 2 hours, and more people might just do them ( just a thought)
any other fantastic ideas that we could talk about that can only improve the enjoyment of the game ??

I love this game. I must, cuz last week a mere 116 xp's from reaching lvl 40 - I contacted support and asked them to cancel my account just so I could start all over. And before everyone asks - I did it just for pure fun. This game makes me feel like a kid again - and one of the greatest things about being a kid was 'do-overs'! I'm having a great time. My only teeny-tiny regret is that I miss my birdhouse from the Easter Egg Hunt - but have high hopes that something similar is on the horizon.

And one more thing that I just have to mention about this game is....the awesome board moderators. They are always there to lend a helping hand, point you in the right direction, or simply offer a word of support when you need it. Great group of people.

    Happy Farming!
