New farm means I can't expand my old farm

I have been waiting to reach level 44 so I could buy land and expand my gourmet farm, however this morning I discover that the option to expand once you reach level 44 has disappeared and I now have to wait until Level 57 which also means I can't buy the goat stable. Presumably this is intended to make you play the flower farm but it seems very unfair to treat players differently by changing the rules all the time, going off this game fast )-:

Oh no....You are right...I am level 41 now, and was looking forward to expand at level 46. Having to wait until level 57 (or is it 51) will take many months because each level requires so many points now. Guess the Gourmet farm will stay the way it is now for me...One field, one restaurant, three small houses...and nothing more in unseable future :(

yes i too was looking at getting one more piece of land to improve happiness level. just put flower farm in place and first task to upgrade shop. that will have to wait. the farm was $120,000 and the upgrade of shop is $120.000. then build two houses upgrade fence
the meadow needs 25 people you need 38 people to run flower shop level 2
think first thimg on to do list is buy land before anything else an meadow is 13x10 so that and 2 houses is 2 plots, what space left in existing land will have to be filled with high level happiness

Same- here - I'm a lower level - was trying to get to lvl 28 to get new land for gourmet farm - now goalposts have moved. Had I known this was going to happen - I'd have played differently. Very irritating.

The point about it being different for different players is a good one - not a level playing field - just simple manipulation.

thats just great....thinking i couldnt get land for more than 10 levels on gourmet farm i just brought 3 plots on flower farm, thus using up a fair chunk of my money saved.
now you tell us it was an error.. thats just great. this has stuffed my plans up again.
i had gust finnished rethinking all my plans for the gourmet farm and transfer them across to flower farm. now money gone you tell me land will once again be available in 1 level. now Gourmet famn will continue to rua at a loss
