cheap pigs and expensive gold upgrades

My suggestions
1)There should be a option for deassigning workers from factories and fields which are not operating due to lack of resources.
2)Some times there should be rare products like golden pigs should pop up while harvesting whose price would be 100 times of the normal product. We could even display them in the farm in a showcase(can be in decoration category), which can be viewed by other players.
3)We should be able to see statistics of how much each player harvested during the cop. projects so that we can remove the non working ones.

my complaints
1)Pigs are priced very low.they sell for only $5 while eggs for $3 but still coops are more profitable since they take only 10-12 minutes for production while pigsty around 70 minutes. So I think pigs should be at least for $15, otherwise its a loss giving stable.
2)The buildings bought with gold are way to expensive to upgrade.Like for the water tower, its purchasing price is 1300 gold while first upgrade is worth 7400 gold.I felt like being punished for buying that water tower. You should not forget that after all gold comes from real money and it should have some value in game.200 gold is around $35000(in research category). So you yourself think how much you are charging for first upgrade.

What do you think guys?

Is there any chance that price of water tower upgrade is coming down?

I wouldn't have thought so siddartha, as it has only recently had a price adjustment

You mean it was higher than 5400 before?Does gg studio want to loot only those who buy gold?

No it has recently increased in cost. And I doubt they will revert their decision

    Edit to add
It was increased on 11 Feb. Here is the staff post announcing it with the reasons why. And the discussion about is here

And The Bleeding Continues. It is not worth upgrading the water tower past level 2. When I went to level 3 on the water tower I did not know of the recent increased in price when i realized the cost I said F-me. Well thats not going to happen again. But I wonder what would happen if you had 3 water towers each on your farm an cost 1300 total 3900. A lot cheaper then 13000 on the 3rd upgrade. Would it still give 30% less. I wounder.

They only let you have one water tower. Otherwise with two level 5 towers, you wouldn't be using any fertilizer or feed. That would be way too powerful.

I think this is related to pigs. I am hip deep in dung, 9k worth, is there a limit to how much your farm can store? I am max. out on fertilizer, just afraid I won't be able to produce pigs, milk and eggs. Thanks for any help.

I don't think there's a limit to dung and leaves, however the fertilizer and feed do have the limits of your barns capacities. Perhaps a higher level player can answer better. There's another thread about what to do with all the excess dung and leaves, and the developers have an idea what to do, but they haven't implemented it yet.

If you need to use up fertilizer, then build another cherry orchard. Over a 24hr period, an extra cherry orchard can use 60 fertilizer (modified by the level of your water tower). I'm not sure if you are at a high enough level, I think it comes up close to level 40, but there is also a task that requires you to give 100 fertilizer.

And the pig sty upgrades are really expensive and you only get an extra 5 pigs from level 3 to level 4 and 5 more from level 4 to level 5. It's not worth it.

It's like that with most things. With fields, you get one more thing in your harvest per level. That's not worth it either for the amount that you have to put in for the upgrade. If you have the space, you might as well just build another low level field and get more from your harvests. That balance between costs and benefits here seems a bit off to me.

It varies though. You get a lot more wheat with higher grade fields and wheat is expensive, plus if you then use humus you get extra again, so for some things it is really worth it, just not for pigs!

I suggest take a poll for water tower upgrade prices and you will yourself find that its prices should come down.

I also wanted to mention that the co-op research helps pigs more than eggs. You can have level 4 Healthier Pigs research done before you start level 2 Organic Eggs. When the pigs sell for $9ea. their profit per hour is on par with milk (at least until the milk research gets to level 2). Still, in general they are the least profitable of the stables, but they do produce about twice as much dung per hour than cowsheds and require less time than chicken coops.

i thought mpst people upgraded pigsty for the extra dung to make into fertilizer, pigs themselves selling was an extra bonus
