By the way BigEars, I didn't need to say it, you said it for me. I do wish your farm well though whatever that choice you make with this Event.
Kat.
I would like to see that box be proportionate to when you are zoomed in where the box is a lot smaller compared to the facilities. Right now the box maintains the same size no matter the zoom level and when you are fully zoomed out it practically covers any building behind it. Another solution would be to have an option in the setting menu to turn off this animation.
Not sure about the coding requirements involved, but I don't think it would be too hard to reduce the size of the box by 25% at the middle zoom and 50% at full zoom out.
Agreed. And I was by no means trying to force my views on any other player. More like trying to nut out exactly what was going on (and still am to some extent). I'm thinking it wise to most usually defer to Kat Nip. I've some forum moderating experience, and time doing so has a way of rounding out one's grasp of the big picture. Finally, you are more than welcome. I figure that we're all kinda in this thing together, even if on opposite sides of the fence.
I completely agree with you on the importance of the happiness in this. I used -1% because I gave up trying to get it to 0 after 7 or 8 decoration combinations. Zero seemed to me to be ideal, as any +/- factor could be applied. The perfection bit quickly ran out of steam.
Understood, and I do concur. However, my comparison/ contrast required a truckload of both crops either way it went. Yes, the true bottom line would be affected as you said, but one still had to have the produce in hand to decide on turning left or right at the crossroad. This exercise started out much smaller in my mind, and then got a bit crazy on me.
Errmm, yes and no. I was putting together two figures that ultimately became a deficit on the books while looking at our truckload of produce: 1) The cash value of the crops on hand, and 2) The out of pocket expense of milling said crops into feed. Both of these become negatives against the books when the feed is given away. If I sell the crops, #2 becomes a non-issue, if I produce and use the feed for my animals, the costs incurred go against the final profit of the animal production. At this point the value of the unsold produce doesn't make a difference to the books, and I do stand corrected on that. This error on my part does indeed skew the profit/loss calculation considerably. Your figure look much more reasonable on that note.
Here is where my tunnel vision bites me pretty hard. Again, I was looking at this whole event as an enticement for newer/lower level players to get a jump start on a stagnant leveling aspect that they may feel was occurring. That line of thought had me seeing players with limited production capabilities, and that led me to compare the quick fix with more long-term investment. My own experience in GGS' Empire had me holding off on completing tasks to keep myself from leveling up so quickly. It is fast becoming apparent to me that Big Farm is a completely different row to hoe. At least thus far, the creepy neighbor dude hasn't tried to burn down my barn...
To All: WOW! Are we tired yet?
This really became so much more than I envisioned while punching away on the calculator and throwing the figures into a txt file. I crunched some numbers, posted it quick-like, and went out to do some actual gardening with my kid. I came back to more dazed and less confused. That's the beauty of an active forum community, there's always something to learn. I appreciate all of the feedback. Next time, I'll try to find the definition for brevity.
The developers should RECONSIDER the move to change the co-ops in this fashion. They set the enormous costs to complete research and therefore co-ops require members who are active and donate fairly.
If the developers are going to change anything set a minimum that each level co-op member must donate and work this out mathematically to what research level and rank the co-op is on. That way it is out of everyone's hands and it will allow everyone in the co-op to contribute equally.
Otherwise have state co-ops only and dont ask farmers to run private co-ops and not allow us to remove those who do not participate.
If co-ops are being unfair then check the facts of both sides before judging and possibly create penalities for co-ops and/or exmembers whatever the case maybe. But be warned if you take the fun out of the game then many will turn from co-ops because it wont be worth the headache.
First, Im very excited about a third farm. I dont want to get bored of this game and GGS is working on adding new features for us. The great thing about a second and third farm is that if you dont want to have them then you dont have to, but for us that are craving something new and challenging, please bring it on!
Second, I thought the Ventura event was great. At my level its very hard to get XP now, so any opportunity to get extra is a wonderful welcome. Again, no one ever has to do it. I didnt participate in the fountain event because for me donating my cash to my coop was more important. This was my choice though and congratulations to those that did participate and reap the rewards. What I am trying to say here is that you always have a choice. If you dont think its worth it and wont benefit you then dont participate, but if you do then go for it.
Happy Farming, Em 8)
But 500??? That won°t be easy.. I really play a lot of hours during the day but even for me it will not be easy...
as im very active but if I lose a lot of sleep over this and don't get them all it will be a waste of time like the bee event
I got 20 eggs so far
ps I got 2 eggs for producing 20 fert I thought I would share that with you all so I hope this happends again:)
So it takes time to have all eggs. Not for me, i do not have time to play all day long, and i do not need wheat so much. Butt it is okay, I am just farming
But I am running out of roses now :-(
it should be at the bottom saying so many of 500
like mine says 22/500

I've received eggs from the chicken coop twice now.
You will have to own the second farm in order to be able to buy the third.
yes very much so I have found that the mill and the silo have givin me multiple eggs but they don't always give them
only when I have produced over 50 cow feed and 70 fert so the more you produce im guessing the more chance of finding multiples I have even found 3 eggs in my silo 3 or 4 times for producing 70 fertilizer plus chicken coops
don't give many eggs iv found a few but not as much as iv found from my silo and mill hope this helps
ps 140 eggs found so far
You need to ask the cooperatives why they have booted players first before penalizing them.
I fully understand penalizing the cooperatives that are taking new members in, making them donate and these members are helping and then booting them out for absolutely no reason at all. That is just cheating, but when you are getting players that are joining your cooperative and then sit back and do nothing then you should be able to do what you need to do to help your co-op grow to your best advantage.
If you go ahead with this, then you may as well get rid of cooperatives because I will not go ahead with mine, I will not put my own money into growing one when I cant choose who I want in my own cooperative and be penalized if I kick someone out. I am sure I would not be the only founder who would do the same.
I think you would be signing the death warrant of this game if you did that, because I would just leave and go back to playing my old game and I am sure other players would do the same, dont take our free choice away from us.
I see there hasnt been much more comment on this...nor a tribunal for wrong doers "on both sides"... We ask the moderators to ask the Developers what are there plans and will they announce before putting into motion any changes to the co-ops that affect the founders and members and growth... possibly some Q & A with founders might be the go.....
