How do you like the second farm so far?

I am still not sure whether to buy the second farm or not. A couple of weeks ago I simply didn't have the money for it and wanted to upgrade a little more before adding another element to the game. But at the moment I am doing pretty fine with my first farm and reached level 31. And I can imagine that I would like to buy the second farm just to start something new.

How do you like your second farm right now? Has it improved your game or made it harder? Do you like the challenge?

Your experience is more then welcome!

Hi nienke! I think the gourmet farm is a great investment. It's only 50 000 and it's fun starting from scratch again. It's a nice added income. I do suggest saving up, because by lvl 31 you already have a MILLION upgrades. (I should know. I'm on lvl 32) ^^

Yeah, going in at at level 31 you will have a lot of stuff and upgrades available straight away which you would otherwise have worked up to.

I find it frustrating that there is only one build slot between the two farms. So you have to choose which farm to work on and which to let get on as it is, but I don't regret getting the second farm at all

Save up some money to get the 2nd farm going. Don't start the 2nd farm if you are not doing well on the main farm or you will just make your situation worse. The 2nd farm requires an ENORMOUS number of workers to do just about any upgrades. So start out with 3 or 4 low level houses and then upgrade as you go. The main house is important to reduce your building speed. Build the first few decorations required for the task as wild flower or the small tree, but replace them as you build more houses.
When you expand the land, they are not very expensive and some of them take a lot less time than others. So, open up one and see if it is a short time--if it is a longer one and you have the money open a different one. There is plenty of time to rearrange to your liking later (like during endless hours waiting to build the next house LOL)

I'm really enjoying the second farm. I did have an advantage in some ways I guess, I was a high level when it was introduced so I had my main farm set up and running efficiently as well as having a few million farm dollars I'd saved.

I've enjoyed the challenge of starting over with something new. Being such a high level though did have some drawbacks for me - everything was available and upgradable all at once which made deciding how to go about setting up the farm a challenge. It's been fun though and I now have 2 of everything on the farm that I can have multiples of and am slowly upgrading everything.

I have just reached lv 41 and I love the second farm. It does take lots of workers but it gives alot of farm dollars in return. I am still building up my main farm so I use the second farm for money income, I cant wait to get in there full time to build it up.

If I'd have the choice again, I'd probably get the 2nd farm, but wouldn't do any upgrades, expansions or buildings for a while except perhaps some decorations, and only use it to make apple or cherry juice from my harvests on the main to generate a bit of additional income, up to a time where the main farm requires less farmdollars and attention.

So I just have to remember this for the 3rd farm, and not get carried away by my curiousity ;)

Nienke, I think go for it! I was in the same position as you - going well with my first farm, on Level 31, not sure whether to take the plunge. I was put off a bit by reading a lot of the forum posts and I interpreted many to be saying that you needed a stack of gold, $'s, and you basically couldn't do anything on it unless you spent hours and hours upgrading. This really isn't the case. I made sure I had stored everything - apples, eggs, etc. I bought the farm ($50,000). Started the restaurant straight away with making an omellette (just uses eggs) and gives you $1100 after 12minutes or somethng. Easy money, plus it fulfills a task at the same time. Then I moved onto making apple sauce (just uses apples). While I did this I built another house to get staff. And once the house is finished I will start building a few decorations to get my happiness up while continuing to churn out apple sauce/omellettes/yoghurt etc. Great money earner so far! Anfd I continue using the $ to do what I want with my first farm.

agueda3, that sounds strange! I could just click on the restaurant straight away and produce things the same way I could on the first farm. Has anyone else out there had this problem? Maybe worth contacting support if you haven't already.

Try clearing the cache again before you start to panic--"F5" key and log in again. And you are sure you have enough workers?

i already login twice and build a house for the first upgrade then got the 10 workers needed and still only pops up the upgrade just like when you click on the fence, no other options.

ok then i think you will need help from support: "contact us" at the bottom of page is the link to email--they will have to reset it for you i think. There lots of things to do still on the main farm. And i think you can probably still build (?)

I appreciate all the feedback and advice on the 2nd farm. I was holding off on getting it because I wanted to have more upgrades to the 1st farm to get it into the best production. I'm heading into Level 30, so I guess I will be ready soon. Thanks.

Hi just wanted to answer your question about the second farm the second farm is not like the first it is smaller and takes more to get it bigger. Also i like the second b/c it helps you to earn extra money and it has the garden on it which growsdifferent stuff then the first farm does. Well i hope this helps you a little. If you have any other questions i would be happy to answer them.

Do the decorations on the first farm affect the happiness on the 2nd farm? I was wondering since they share the same building and upgrade slot??? And do the workers in the 1st farm count toward the 2nd farm?
Both 2 farms decorations and workers together or counting separately?? TY

Decorations, workers and happiness are completely separate for both farms

The only thing they share is the one building slot

And the stores of foodthings ofcourse Rhon :) Eggs, apples etcetera.

I totally love the second farm, for those who are still doubting. It is indeed advisable to build up a nice amount of cash before starting it, because to get it up and running, it needs quite a bit! I was saving up to upgrade my barn to lvl4 (2 million) and it all went into the second farm pretty fast :) But as said before, you can make nice money out of it again.
I love the new things, the new puzzle it brings to figure out what you need and how much. And ofcourse the new puzzle of stuffing in decorations, with buildinsg with total new sizes.

For those that like the eyecandy too, the restaurant looks so nice with the red/white parasols, and it matches the icecreamvans :) The mixed vegetables look nice and colourful when they are ready to harvest.

Silas, if you really don't want to run the Gourmet farm, then just ignore it. It'll still be there if you change your mind in the future. :)

Why everything has to be so big in second farm?? You must have a lot of land if you want to fit everything in there. And a lot of workers.

happiness bar and workers are not the same on both, if you have free workers in the main farm you can't use them at the gourmet, same with the decorations whatever on which farm that's yor happiness bar
