Ability to contribute partial Collection Items for Coop Projects (Register, Tickets)

WendiB2WendiB2 Posts: 12
Has it ever been discussed? I'd LOVE the ability to work with Coop members to contribute partial amounts of collection items needed to start a new project (If I have 100 of an item and a coop member has the other 35 items, we can both contribute instead of needing to wait until one person has the full amount)

Yes it has been discussed, but hard to wade through all the stuff on the forum right now. I have tried adding tags for topics that are relevant to questions and basic game information and it keeps getting buried under mountains of spam threads.

Co-ops i thought were supposed to bring us together to work on projects, but it has started more arguments than i care to mention. Each level gets higher requirements of pieces to donate too. Sorry i have no good news to offer ;(

Yes, the higher we get the harder it is, and it stalls the Coop while we try to get the collection items.

We had a new member ask why he and I couldn't contribute together and I told him I'd post. :)

Each time the challenge advances, it gets harder. There are more pieces to get them started and then more for the goal to get the reward. It is never ending. I think i just want to play the game and that is just impossible.

Tell me about it. I am almost lvl 34 and I have never once got a toolbox. Now think if I had to come up with both on my own. The odds are not in my favor

Is it just me or does the drop rate of the collectibles seem to be higher when we use Humus? And yes all my members agree, we need to be able to atleast bank our collectibles together. Maybe it will be implemented one day :)

I'm going to need a walking frame before I can collect the 5 lunch boxes needed for Cheesed Off level 1 project! I have 2 lunch boxes only and am also lvl 34.

I am level 45 and in cooperative that is facing the same problems as addressed in each post. Joining a cooperative requires all to work together however; requiring each to work alone in gathering enough collected items to opposite of what beinging in a copperative is all about. It only makes since that as a cooperative member each should be able to contribute as much as one individual can to the group by donating as much of the items they have to the projects. This is a problem that needs to be corrected to encourage more of a village experience to the cooperative.

Yes - that was my thought too - otherwise, it is discouraging to the Coop members and slows things down to the point of stalling. I'm not asking the devs to change the frequency of finding items, because that could really change the pace of the game itself, but to allow us to pool our resources together would benefit ALL and keep the game fun with a focus of "working together" ... in fact, teams would need to work together even more because we'd need to talk about where to put our resources. :)

I agree with ALL the comments regarding the collections issue, this needs to change, maybe a main pot like money and gold where we can add our items or something similar...the current set up is not working well

The developers have made it quite clear that the design of the game, where collectibles cannot be pooled and the number of collectibles required to start projects increases dramatically, is intentional. GGS is not interested in adding improved gameplay where teams work together, but instead is only interested is getting you to spend more and more real money to buy gold.

As you complete projects and the project levels increase, you'll see the number of collectibles required jump dramatically, making it virtually impossible to gather the collectibles except by buying with gold. Examples: level 3 Complete Movie Experience (corn project) requires 585 tickets, 324 registers, and 405 tractors; level 3 Apples project requires 630 tickets, 225 puzzles, and 450 buckets.

So, unless you are willing to purchase the collectibles with gold, you'll have to be very active for many weeks to gather them through regular farm activity.

wait til you get to the 4th level of corn & 13 SP for the co-op. this is with the 15% upgrade to have less pieces required--startup cost for that one was like 40,000 gold.
Oh and right below the pop up box is the RP points required for level 3 eggs.

The object of a Cooperative is so everyone contributes, it would make the game more fun and interesting if we pool together the collection items, I know this just reiterates what we are all saying. It actually would make members farm more because everyone enjoys that part of the game..contributing and collecting. Make it POSSIBLE not IMPOSSIBLE. It would end up being a win win, we would still pay and play, and that change would be a practical, beneficial improvement for all involved.

All of you have echoed the same valid points that I raised last year which were supported by numerous people.
How ever, nothing has happened, the developers dont want to hear it even though our community managers keep bringing it up week after week.
So lets all protest and not buy any gold from them, maybe when their bank balance starts dropping they may change their minds and actually do something constructive for the game.

Amazing how you can donate any about of money, you can donate any amount of gold, but you CANNOT donate any amount of pieces. That is very hyporcritical of GGS. A true Co-op should have the ability to share pieces.

Hi - I need the help of someone who knows how to redirect people in this forum as I can not figure out how to do so.

The notations above are people who are in need of inventory items for their co-op challenges....On 3/3/13 I asked if I could give my inventory items away to a co-op by joining, donating, unjoining to help other people (was even told 'yes' from the GGS folks) but no one has contacted me - and I suspect that my offer is getting lost in the volume of entries in this forum

Can you please work your magic to direct them to the posting I made on 3/3/13 at 9:49 about dontating all my inventory to anyone who could use it...and please tell them to message me through the game at The New Farm (no 2 at the end) (note: this offer is for inventory items only. no money. no gold.)

Oh yeah - to anyone in need of transporters - I got two I am looking to give away!

@The New Farm2 - you cannot do anything at all with collectibles except contribute everything needed for a project's startup requirements for the same collectible. You cannot gift collectibles. You cannot give them away. You cannot make partial contributions to a project's startup requirements. You cannot eat green eggs and ham. You cannot eat them no way maam...

This whole thread just further solidifies my decision of not joining a co-op.

    This.

Menace, I think it's just a question of finding the right co-op; not all of them demand contribution from you.

I agree this would be fair and functional asset to the game and make it more fun.

It would also increase our leveling speed and make us buy gold faster.

It would help our team bond and think of tasks more as teamwork and less as a 2-3 person contribution each time.

This subject comes up time and time again and seems to be one of the number one things that players want to change within the game. But, we have been told quite catagoricaly that its not going to happen. So frustrating.

Ok this might be an old post and an old subject, but it is ridiculous that we can not contribute items that we have towards the goal for the benefit of the co-op. The amounts that they require are insane given the frequency the items appear when harvesting. I am a very regular player (often logging more then 6 hrs of gameplay a day) and have seen my manpower (an item my co-op needs) only go up by about 6-8 in 2 weeks. Now I buy plenty of gold and our co-op uses plenty of gold but we shouldn't have to use it when if pooled our co-op would have items we need to start missions.

and the goal moves... you almost get to a point where you can contribute, then someone else does, you do research and all of a sudden you need twice as many again....

if GGS wont listen to the loud and clear message, perhaps there is a way of organising a collection pool.

So, you have 300 somethings... a low lv co-op need them. you join temporarily and donate....

A player who doesn't want to be in a co-op joins one temporarily and donates collectables and leaves again.....

Co-ops could advertise for what they are looking for???

A bit of a rough and ready idea but ......
